WandaVision: The Series Finale (2021)
The epic conclusion
Well, it really stuck the (superhero) landing! A brilliant finale that is full of action as well as well-written dialogue and, like the previous episode, plenty of emotion. Elizabeth Olsen is a great lead as ever, Paul Bettany gets more to work with than usual and Kathryn Hahn's Agatha has some excellent moments throughout too. Yes, the fun supporting characters are sidelined quite a bit, especially Kat Dennings' Darcy, but that was to be expected, as this is Wanda and Vision's story after all. There are fun references to the likes of The Wizard of Oz and Terminator 2 amongst the impressive visual effects, but the emotional storyline shines through, culminating in a near-perfect ending that finally resolves the major theme of Wanda's grief over Vision's demise. The mid-credits scene hints at the future for the MCU, which is sure to be as enjoyable as this series has been. If this is the high standard for Marvel's televisual output, then we're in for some entertaining times to come in the years ahead.
WandaVision: All-New Halloween Spooktacular! (2021)
Best episode so far
This series has been building with each episode and just gets better and better. The Malcolm in the Middle homage now we're in the '90s within the 'hex' is brilliant and Evan Peters is excellent as ever, a great addition to the cast. Both the family dynamic and the outside events are well handled and the ending is so good! The last three episodes should be amazing at this rate!
