Firstly, I'd like to say that if this is Allen-Miller's directorial debut, she has a bright future ahead of her!

Everyone in the cast, from the main actors to the secondary characters is just superb and always add something to the story, making them memorable even if they appear just for a few minutes. Specifically, David and Vivian have great chemistry, the colors are bright, the camera angles are odd, the soundtrack changes so quickly without ever feeling misplaced or weird. In an era of big movies, this movie being just short of an hour an half and not feeling something is missing is truly a blessing.

It's just a great movie, simple and light but yet so funny and real. I really recommend it!

I accidentally watched the first episode and it reminded me so much of the board game The Werewolves of Miller's Hollow (it's literally the game in a TV show format) and it gave me such a nostalgic feeling and happy memories of playing with my family I just had to watch it.

It was okay, some of the things didn't make much sense but it still gets you hyped and anxious to see the plot twists and how the contestants (I would prefer just regular non-celebrities) are thinking. I do have to say I found it odd that it had such a lower score compared to the UK version and having watched just 1 episode of the The Traitors UK I understand why. If you're curious, being the same format it can still be a very different show.

It's still worth it and if you don't know might as well check out the board game too :)

The Offer is a Mini-Series produced by Leslie Grief (never seen anything from her) and Michael Tolkin who has proven to be a very good writer with The Player, Escape at Dannemora and more.

Obviously, the pivotal point of focus in this mini-series is The Godfather, arguably the best movie ever made but what stunned me the most was that soon you forget you're watching something related to The Godfather and you are engolfed by this force of nature that is Albert S. Ruddy.

It takes a vision of a genius to be that committed to something when everyone is against you and that applies to Ruddy but also for Coppola and Puzo. The cast is superb, Matthew Goode is carismatic and you can't take your eyes off of him, Juno is remarkable as a sidekick (her line of "Is it legal?" always gets me) to Ruddy and lastly, I loved Miles Teller on this mini-series and it may be some of his best work.

The look-alikes were very good, some uncanny. The storytelling is medium-paced (not slow but not very fast) and it locks your attention from beginning to end.

I really loved this show, watched it all in a week and if you haven't watched, it doesn't even matter if you're a fan of The Godfather or not (most likely you will be), you're still going to enjoy it.

I've been wanting to watch this trilogy for a long time now and honestly I don't know what I was waiting for. It's impossible to talk about Rouge without mentioning White and Blue so please, don't just watch this movie without the other two, otherwise a lot of details will just go unnoticed and then you see scores of 1 given by those people... Just outrageous.

Having seen the 2 previous movies, Rouge is the perfect ending, gives you closure but also makes you think about what is comming ahead. This last story in particular is just fantastic, so simple, dialogue captivating, character arcs so well made, cinematography and the play with colors are just beautiful! The world is small and life goes in circles is a somewhat simplistic view of a complex matter - life.

It's hard to write the review without any spoilers so I truly recommend you watch Blue, then White and lastly, Rouge!

From someone who has seen the original one, the portuguese version of Taskmaster is not very far from it. The taskmaster and his assistant have a good dynamic (as expected given their known relationship) and the guests are very funny, think outside the box and are not afraid to show their competitiveness.

One thing they do differently from the original is that instead of having 5 steady guests, this version has 4 and 1 different guest every week which gives some freshness to the show. Definitely recommend it!

After watching Parasite I've been on a quest to watch more foreign movies and came across this one from the same diretor.

Didn't know what to expect but boy oh boy did it deliver. This movie has it all, one minute you're laughing and in the next scene you're left with a jaw-dropping scene. It's impossible to be indifferent to the movie, it just begs for your attention and we gladly obey.

The script is fantastic, very well written with a very subtle and believable character ark. The cast also with great performances. There's definitely something about Korean thrillers that makes them a level above of everything else.

Truly recommend it!

I have to start by saying that I don't agree with any of the reviews so far. I don't think it's meh nor am I blown away.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, it makes you think about yourself and your own life. After all, what is love to you? I'm sure you could identify some scenes as romantic or caring and others not really. Either way it's impossible to be indifferent to it.

The animation is good but for a short animated movie that relies enterely on visuals to get across their message, it could be better.

Overall, a good animated short that may even win best animated short oscar.

Paul Thomas Anderson is one of my favorite directors, having made such great movies that the expectations for this one were already high.

The name alone intrigued me and made me want to watch it.

The cast was fantastic, great performances from Cooper Hoffman and Alana Haim. It was the movie debut for Hoffman and if he decides to pursue an acting career he sure has the talent to do it. Haim has done some music videos but not movie features so it was also a debut for her. Both portray interesting characters and a very dynamic relationship with ups and downs and we the viewers are invited to go on with them on their journey.

Having said that, for me the cherry on top was the script. I believe this will be the first Oscar win for PTA for Original Screenplay. The script alone made me glued to the screen paying attention to everything that was going on and even the smallest exchanges meant something.

It's definitely not my PTA movie but I enjoyed it a lot and I think he deserves some recognition beyond Oscar noms. If you haven't watched it, go see it!

This is the first movie I've seen from Ninja Thyberg.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Yes, it has a lot of nudity, which is normal, but it doesn't have a lot of explicit things shown clearly, they're pretty much all implicit which takes your attention from the scene to the actress and her feelings.

What I loved the most about the movie was the way they portraited the psychological aspect of pursuing a career in the adult industry. The huge pressure to just go out there and show herself, to grind everyday, not being sure if you're being scammed, if your colleagues are professional and serious or even how to take it to the next level.

Apart from that, Sofia Kappel's voice is so magnetic and she has a good performance, keeping it simple but conveying the right message to the viewer. Things seem to go full circle and how dangerous it is to mix personal and work problems.

I noticed some "actors" were playing themselves (e.g., Mark Spiegler, Aiden Starr and Axel Braun) so maybe they're actually members of the adult industry? Also, Chris Cock was born to play this role eheh

Overall, I recommend you to see this movie and judge it by yourself. I liked it, maybe you will too!

Mass is my favorite movie from Fran Kranz.

None of the main 4 actors are superstars even though they have been in good and/or well-known movies.

What I love the most about the movie is that they transformed a complex subject into a simple movie. The script is good, the range of emotions is appropriate and is varies immensely. Even though the movie is set mainly in a room it keeps you interested and it is not monochordic at all.

It is a complex and very sensitive subject and I can only imagine the courage of both families to agree to talk and relive everything.

I understand and feel the anger, the frustration, the expectations, the resentment. To a point, it is almost overwhelming. The movies takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions and by the end of the movie I felt such an extreme relief for both families being able to get some closure.

I really loved the movie, it was emotionally-charged and unfortunately a sad reality for many. If you haven't seen it, please do.

C'mon C'mon is one of the best movies by Mike Mills.

I was just writing about Belfast and how the cinematography is breathtaking, the performance of a child-actor is unique and takes away your attention from beginning to end and how rare black-and-white movies are nowadays but when they are made they're usually very good (not because of it but it helps, for me at least!) and I could say those exact words for this movie either in a very different tone.

Joaquin Phoenix gives a down-to-earth performance but oddly enough is not the star of the movie. The relationship between the brothers and between them and the kid evolves throughout the movie and it takes you alongside the journey. The script is interesting, inquisitive, detailed, it makes you laugh and reflect about serious issues.

I really enjoyed the movie and I hope it has some recognition as the good movie it is. If you haven't watched it, go see it!

Belfast is one of the best movies by Branagh.

I completely fell in love with the script, its funny, its deep, turns a somewhat complex concept into a fair enough simple plot by the eyes of a child and what a performance by Jude Hill. He steals your whole attention since the beginning, authentic and emotional performance. Would it be too much to nominate him for an Oscar?

Other thing I loved was the black-and-white vintage look. This kind of movies are rarely made now but usually are very good (like Roma, Cold War or more recently The French Dispatch) and this one doesnt run away from it.

Overall I was glued to the screen from start to finish. If you havent seen it, what are you waiting for?

The French Dispatch is directed and written by Wes Anderson who gave us so many good and quirky movies already but this strikes differently.

Firstly I just want to point out the cast assembled here. Probably the best cast of 2021 with so many proeminent figures of Hollywood that it makes you question initially if it will work out but by the first quarter of the movie you realize that yes, it works out amazingly.

The script is intriguing, intellectual and pretty good although I wish they made the movie a little bit slower, mainly when mixing French and English since it passed so fast sometimes I couldn't even read the subtitles.

The strongest point of this movie, in my opinion, isn't the cast nor the script, although both very good as I said previously. It's the art. The cinematography, the angles, the colors or lack-there-of that help set the mood and paint the picture (literally and figuratively) for the viewer. It's a masterpiece in transitions, in story telling and the black-and-white vintage vibe may ward off some viewers but others, like me, will appeal even more.

Definitely a movie for art / cinematography students to watch and rewatch :) Overall a very good movie in line with Wes Andersons' filmography.

This is my first german TV-show and it surely helps to boost the interest in foreign shows and movies.

Dark is an intellectual sci-fi (and a romance if you think about it) with some of the best cinematography in recent years. It's slow-paced but never boring, it's complexed but not a mess, it's educational, it's heartbreaking, it's one of the best TV-shows from the last decades and it lacks recognition as such.

The cast is superb, the script is so well-written and when you think things can't complicate more they add another layer of twists and turns that just leaves you in aww.

Another feature that all great TV-shows have is that Dark is rewatchable. You can see it several times and you'll always connect things differently and spot some "easter eggs".

One of my favorite things in Dark was the sound department. The little sounds and songs they put throughout the episodes help set the mood and really embraces the viewer into their mysterious, darker and gritty environment. I really loved it!

Overall, fantastic series! What are you waiting for? Go watch it!

I must say that the fact the main actresses were in their 30s while the the rest of the cast was their own age (kids being kids, adults being adults) was a little distracting but it wears off after a couple of episodes.

After seeing every episode I understand why they casted 2 adults to play the role of two 13 years old. It's heavy, it portrays real-life lessons and struggles mainly for girls but it shades a light on boys difficulties as well.

Overall, it's a very good show. Mayas' impersonation of Jim Carreys' Ace Ventura was so relatable, I used to do the same eheh The show also made me appreciate the fact that I was able to grow up without this addiction to smartphones and the internet in general, life wasn't easier but it was much more appreciated :)

Finally, just wanted to say I really liked the script and the educational part is very important and one of the reasons I think everyone should see it.

This is the first movie I've seen from Miranda July. Didn't know what it was about, had no expectations and it manages to surprise you in a positive manner.

The cast was good, Evan Rachel's character is weird and quirky but likable and the way she progressively and slowly becomes more human, more in touch with her feelings is really something else. The script is good and it gives you a powerful final message.

Overall, you should see it! Go with an open mind and you may enjoy it :)

Well, first of all I'm very happy they're launching a 2nd season! We need more of it.

The animations are very cool and well-designed, the atmosphere thoughout the episodes is badass and the intro song by Imagine Dragons is really spot on and has me singing everytime. This has to be one of the best, if not the best, game adaptationts to the screen, movie or tv shows.

Having played the game since season2 I admit I was very sceptical about this series but boy was I wrong. It's one of the best tv shows, animated or not, this year. What I love the most about it is that it is really for everyone, players or not of the game. It has drama, betrayal, friendships, action-packed scenes, great character development, the stills and cinematography are really beautiful. The cast was all magnificent, magnetic voices that draw your attention and makes you glued to the screen.

Overall, congratulations Riot Games, you've outdone yourself! If you haven't watched it, what are you waiting for? Go see it!

In this final Bond movie with Daniel Craig I can't help but to write. I feel he has been an underrated Bond in the long and legendary list of actors that have played this iconic character. He's the main character in some of the best Bond movies ever produced, in my opinion and deserves more recognition.

The movie itself did not disappoint, it had a bit of everything for everyone - action, drama, a good theme song (not my favorite but good enough!), very good cast (Ana de Armas was absolutely stunning and Malek is just a natural villain, much like Waltz). Overall a good action movie, a good Bond movie and a fair enough goodbye to Daniel Craig.

The best part of going to watch this movie is to not have high expectations. If you leave them aside you can actually enjoy the few good parts it has. It's not a good movie, by far, it doesn't have a good script, just 3 big stars randomly acting together and honestly I was entertained. The kind of entertainment you want on a sunday afternoon with your family. So not so bad after all. Of all 3 I enjoyed more Reynolds effort and jokes. Seeing the success it has on netflix maybe we can expect a 2nd installment?

The 39 Steps is an earlier work by Hitchcock where you can find several elements that marked all his career. The plot is simple yet captivating enough to make you pay attention from the minute the movie starts. Robert and Madeleine portrait their characters quite well, make us fond of them and rooting for them even tho we don't really know them all too well. It represents much more than just a movie, it's a hallmark for cinema and set a very important example for movies nowadays. Truly recommend you go see it!

Shaun of the Dead is one of the best parody movies ever made. The fact that it is a parody but it is still made with such perfectionism and professionalism by everyone involved is a test to the character of good quality of this movie. The premiss in itself is a parody but they manage to put elements of comedy in such a sincere and not-expected way that you can't help but laugh in the face of the zombies. Also, the elements of comedy are there with a purpose, its intentional and that doesn't happen often with horror movies where you end up laughing by how awfully made they are (not all of course). I truly recommend you go see it, even if you are a sensible person who doesn't like horror, it can be for you too!

Hud gives you an interesting look at two different principles in life. One being very well portraited by Paul Newman by searching the pleasures in life and only caring about his well-being. The other one, also very well portraited by Melvyn Douglas, characterized by the responsabilities life gives you. Both with heavy shoulders from the burden they're carrying. The story is well-written, the cast is good. Overall a very good movie, one of the best from Martin Ritt.

I'll start by saying it's definitely not a movie for everyone. It's dark and apparent lack of dialogue make it hard to go by and to pay fully attention to every detail and it has a lot. I truly believe you must see the movie several times before beginning to understand the huge plot going around. Going to see it knowing nothing about it can be shocking but you'll quickly forget it abd be submersive into its world. It's not meant to be enjoyed but to be reflected upon. A must-see for every moviegoer.

I was excited to begin with for Guy Ritchie, he has been out again in the last couple of years and with great success. The story is characteristic of Ritchie with twists and turns, it has something for everyone to enjoy. A lot of action and some comedy bits are really good, it was a good movie overall. Loved to see Matthew, Charlie, Colin, Michelle but my favorite was without a doubt mister Hugh Grant. Such a good performance, one of the best in recent years. Go see it!
