Mr. Harrigan's Phone (2022)
Netflix dumbs it down for you
This movie could have been interesting with different actors and a different director. Now it's pointless, boring and plain dumb in that Netflix kind of way. Yes, this movie is executed in such a bad way that it's an insult to your intellect.
The film meanders from one event to another. Amazing things happen, but the main characters shrug their shoulders. Perhaps we as viewers are expected to do the same. The characters are the flattest you're ever seen. It ends with a bunch of loose ends that I've never seen the likes of. Did the producers run out of money?
The only redeeming quality is Donald Sutherland. But he alone can't save this melodrama. A pig wearing lipstick is still a pig.
Ratched (2020)
Silly and soppy
Is there anything more tiresomde than a director who wants to be bold and provocative but doesn't serve you anything but plattitudes. This is a stupid TV-series for stupid people and yet another example showing that Americans can't do drama.
A Cure for Wellness (2016)
Could have been great, turned out very silly
I don't know what the problem is. The actors? The dialogue? The director? This movie has a great screenplay and should have been interesting.
But everything is somehow messed up. You can't but think what could have happened with a different director and lead actors. And why is it so long?
Southbound (2015)
A perfect nightmare
Normally mobiles don't scare me but this one is different. Creepy and surreal anthology horror that gets under your skin. David Lynch meets The Twilight Zone. Don't watch it alone.
