The Breach (I) (2022)

That's wayyy too high.

So, here's the story; campers discover a canoe with very grissley remains. Cop shows up and determines only one guy has been up river and works with the outfitter/ guide/ blind bombshell who escorted the guy to a house way up river. A very remote location that is difficult to locate.

Upon arrival at the house they discover a mcGiver version of a particle physics laboratory ala CERN in the attic. Really.

Then somehow the missing guy's wife manages to find her way to this same remote house and she just says she's there to find her missing daughter.

Meanwhile the weird missing guy shows up at this house.

Ok, who was in the canoe?

They tell us that DNA says it was him.

Ummm

Anyway, the wife hacks the guts computer watches some videos and goes wack.

She then follows her missing daughter into the portion of the attic that has the particle collider in it.

And becomes drippy goey human along with a dozen others.

The cop set the place on fire and does not get on on time.

The blond bombshell apparently gets eaten by other bloody goey humans but then shows up at her home pregnant and ok.

Did you find this hard to follow?

Yup, that's this movie.

Incredibly disappointing

Told in a jumbled chronology.

Clips of people in the cave, people outside of the cave, people crawling, people just sitting with voice over narrators not introduced and not validated.

The narration may or may not be relevant to the clips being shown.

It became obvious the entire film was very poorly edited.

I can't believe that I spent almost 90 minutes hoping for clarity or something intelligent.

It was not to be.

Sadly, this is missed opportunity to document an exceptional cave with heroic expeditions.

You'll do better to watch something else. This isn't it.

It just never came together.

Awful! Simply awful!

From the first scene, it was obvious that the story would be based on unrealistic and utterly stupid scenarios!

Even non climbers will recognize fictitious and idiotic climbing techniques.

Couple that with incredibly biased writing that portrays all women as simplistic unintelligent humans who scream, over react and have no plan for the future other than to look good.

On top of that add fictional physics of metal breaking or coming apart!

The Sylvester Stallone movie, Cliffhanger used to be the best example of a bad climbing movie but this has jumped way beyond that!

A real stinker of a movie.

Horror in the High Desert (2021)

Another stupid found footage film

Just like Blair Witch.

And just like Blair Witch, any reasonable person would wonder why the person with the camera doesn't react realistically or rationally.

And I'm disappointed with Prime Video for labeling it a documentary.

It's not a documentary. At best it's mockumentary.

Or a really poor attempt to tell of an actual missing person case of Kenny Veach.

I knew it was going to be unrealistic when family and friends didn't know about Gary's blog that had 50 thousand followers.

There's not 50 people who would watch that drivel.

Luckily it's only 81 minutes. I didn't lose too much of my evening on this.

Bleh.

Daughter of the Wolf (2019)

So disappointing

I thought this was going to be authentic.

I had hoped it was female John Wick.

Some serious ass kicking by a trained veteran.

Instead she's portrayed as a fumbling girl. Finger inside the trigger guard. Can't fight. Can't his the target with her hand gun.

Incredibly awful.

Disjointed storyline is not interesting.

Lame dialog is lame.

Physics fantasy coupled with very unrealistic soldiers is so disappointing.

The Tomorrow War (2021)

A little clunky getting started but worth the time

Character introductions were messy. And time travel stories always have to suspend science or blur the facts to have a story. But once the draft happens then it moves right along.

It was a great match up of Chris Pratt and J. K. Simmons. Good hard to kill monsters. Lots f action and good dialog. Sit back and enjoy.

Don't waste your time.

Unnatural (2015)

Do not waste your time. Awful dialog. Awful ( and stupid) storyline. Awful waste of my ( and your) time. Awful bear suit. The plot is reasonable, but they must have hired a fifth grader to write the script. Example: " I need blankets and hot water bottles". Really? This is 2015, no one has hot water bottles. No one even makes them anymore! This really could have been a suspenseful and dramatic movie. Instead, the unrealistic sequences and simplistic dialog were distracting from good photography, good acting, good direction, with good sets, wardrobe and lighting. It looks Ike much. Of the outdoor scenes were shot on location. The location was perfect. The indoor scenes were well set. Advice to exec producers: Next time spend a little more on the writing.

Awaken (2015)

I can't believe that inattention to common sense detail. Really awful direction. Very poorly crafted fight scenes. Awful tactics. Fingers inside trigger guards. Movements around corners like sleep walkers. Stupid stupid action. Could this movie really make money?

How could people stranded on an island have such good hair? How was it possible that a guy on the island head was perfectly shaved every day for weeks? What is up with those pants on the protagonist ? Are we supposed to believe the pants just got ripped that way? And why was she wearing dog tags? She was never in the military?

HIRE ME!

I would provide the REAL LIFE direction to make this thing believable.

Dear sweet Jesus, please please please, no one ever hire this director or writer again!
