Ugh, the singing
28 November 2023
This looked like a cute idea for a movie and the previews looked fun. But the songs!! They're so stupid and unnecessary. Every time someone would start singing, I'd have to fight a strong urge to turn the channel. It's like they were made up and put in as they were recording the voices for the film.

Also, what's with the rabid 1st graders? They don't even resemble humans. Adam Sandler's voice isn't as annoying as I thought it would be, but theres just so much crammed into this film, you're worn out by the end.

There are definitely funny parts throughout the movie. If there weren't, it wouldn't be watchable.

More depressing than a soap opera
30 January 2022
I cannot figure out all the great reviews for this show. It's like someone decided that a show featuring every low-life human that could possibly be present in one obscure town would be interesting. And if there isn't enough alcohol, prostitution, and other crimes to go around; everyone is cheating, beating up partners, and divorcing. Can't even say the landscape is nice because, well, it isn't. The music sometimes gives you a feeling something intense is happening, but then.... Nothing happens. The men act like they walked right out of the Stone Age.

There's a teen girl that's been mixed in for some unknown reason. It's like they needed some way for a younger audience to connect...? She just goes back and forth to school and gets verbally abused by her mother.

Everything that happens is anticlimactic. There's no plot, no mystery, no reason to even have a show. I'd rather watch paint dry.

Should have ended with season 9

Warning: Spoilers
Once Eddie and Jamie married, that should have been it. Since then, it's been downhill - season 11 is a travesty.

The first 9 seasons were great and still managed to provide a few unpredictable plot twists. Though I didn't always agree with the thinking and politics of most of the Reagans, they were confident in them and stood by their convictions. It was easy to understand their emotions and reasons.

I think about halfway through season 10, someone cut off Danny's manhood and gave it to Jamie. The sudden switch of their personalities makes no sense. The acting and scripts have gotten so tiresome, I find myself just waiting for the episodes to end. It's all boring and just going through the motions. Everyone is miserable and conflict between characters is so forced it's awkward. And the interjections of all the "woke" references and quoting of new laws makes me feel like I'm watching a PSA from the government.

I can't believe these are the same actors who carried the first 9 seasons. They've all lost their ability to act. It's a shame.
