Full circle and new characters
15 June 2022
Full of entertainment and action. Despite the negative reviews or Pratt and his hand, hubby and I enjoyed it. New characters, old characters in a world where humans/dinos need to live together. I am surprised that Neill, Dern and Goldblum came back. I thought that part was left behind because they "started" the park and it ended in diaster and Jurassic World is the next step with new characters. I hoped they would come back. Pratt and his hand did not bother me one bit because that is what one does when meeting a dog or cat. The animal sniffs the hand to recognize the smell of a person. The movie was enjoyable.

Impractical Jokers (2011– )

I have seen the show in the sat guide many times, but always thought the title was stupid. It is entertaining when there is nothing on to watch. I think it is better than Jackass because all these guys do is humiliate each other with stupid questions/answers given to the public. It can be anywhere in NY/NJ area. At least they do not hurt each other or do stupid stunts. Way to go guys.

0 stars. Not worth the eyeballs.

I have watched a lot of stupid shows wondering why a producer made it, but this? This show goes beyond stupidity. Mixing 80s game content with claymation and stop animation. Jane Seymour and Christopher Judge? Do they need money? If I were an actor with their acting credits, I would not want to be associated with this doo. This show is more for newbie actors who need credits under their belt, no matter how stupid it looks. Everyone needs to start somewhere. Waste of time that could have been spent on something else.

A let down
24 February 2022
I am glad I did not pay for the theater to see this. I waited for this movie to come out and understand a backstory needed to be told of the secret organization, but found it to be boring. We wondered where the tie in was to the other fun movies, but all we saw was drama at a slow pace during war time. It picks up towards the end as well as the tie into the others. They should have made a continuation of the other movies. New villain, new tech, new Merlin. Bring The Statesman back again. I would have been set.

Good, except for Faith/Tim
13 January 2022
They got Sam Elliott, which he is a great actor, but Tim/Faith cannot act at all. I feel their acting is flat. You can see the love they have for each other in personal moments, but interacting with other actors and the storyline, they fall flat.

Better than anime to movie
4 December 2021
As much as I love anime and Ruroni Kenshin and Full Metal Alchemist, they were bad as movies. I stopped watching them after a few minutes, but Cowboy Bebop live action series was great. Not knowing anything about the anime, but getting the gist of it, I like it. It had humor and the actors spoke English. No subtitles like in the other anime to movies. I had my doubts, but better for me and glad I watched.

Ghosts are funny, Jay needs to leave.
24 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The ghosts are funny. Ghosts from different eras communicating with each other, not really understanding present day. Jay needs to leave. Total millennial who doesn't know a thing about tools and wears stupid gamer tees. The actor delivers the character's lines like he is gay. Take a tumble down the stairs and becomes a ghost for the show to be rid of him. Decent show, but Jay needs to go.

Exciting
22 October 2021
It keeps you coming back for more as with all the other Star Treks. I am surprised they did a new chapter of Picard's life since they already had Discovery going. I like to see the older characters make an appearance since they are also of the Star Trek timeline. Even for a few episodes because he was well-loved by his crew and friends, trying to give him any help possible.

Female John Wicks
18 July 2021
Just like John Wick. Angela Bassett, Michele Yeoh, Carla Gugino,Karen Gillian and Lena Headey make up the cast. I love the Wick movies, so I thought I would give this a shot. It turned out to be a decent movie.

18 July 2021
If there was a 0 rating for this movie, I would give it. It was very bad. Keanu doesn't need the money. Watching this in a theater would be a waste of money. Hubby and I watched it because it was Bill and Ted and glad I did not waste money. All I wasted was time.

Soul Eater (2008–2009)

Different, but reminds me of other shows
8 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The storyline is different because the weapons eat souls to become a death scythe or weapon for Death. Death and his office are funny the way they are drawn. The other thing I like are the weapons the meisters use are human and transform at a moments notice. Death the Kid is funny because everything has to be symmetrical and he will continue to obsess over it if he thinks it is not.

The graphics are cheesy sometimes, especially with buildings and towns. I would like to know what they were thinking when making the sun/moon because they are just creepy. The weapons and the meisters remind me of a zanpakto and the soul reaper. Soul reminds me of Ichigo Kurosaki and his laid back attitude. Black Star reminds me of Natsu Dragneel and how he acts before thinking, but also has the weapons of Shuehei from Bleach. The Kid reminds of Byakuya Kuchiki in matters of perfection. It is a decent show, but needs to be its' own without reminders of other anime.

First movie to see in reopened theater
10 April 2021
Hubby and I both thought it was good. Our town theater just reopened and we saw this(CA). He lived in VA for a long time and knew the mall where it was filmed. It was a delight to see 80s items used, being that he was born in '65 and I was in '76. We wondered how they were going to bring back Pine. I thought in flashbacks of their time together because she has pictures of him and the guys she worked with in the first movie. I liked the backstory of Diana and how it relates to the movie as a lesson she needed to learn.

As for Snyder, I like this better than Suicide Squad and Justice League. I know some liked those movies better, but I think this was much better. Maybe because Affleck, Miller or Leto were not in this. It was all about WW. A movie about a heroic woman. There are plenty of movies about heroic men. Sometimes actors can break a decent movie and decent plot. Despite the other reviews, we thought this was good.

Funny, had me rolling
19 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I never write reviews for just an episode, but this... I think it is one of the best because normally I am for swords and fights, blood and powerful attacks, but this I found out right funny. Gotei 13 women picking out swimsuits. Sui Feng enamored with Yoruichi. Ichigo, Renji and Ikkaku trying to build a sand castle together without fighting. Rangiku trying to use her chest as buckets to hold water for the sculptures. Even Byakuya gets into it, against his wishes. Too damn funny, but poor Jushiro...feel bad for him.

Hesitant at first
19 February 2021
I was hesitant about watching this because I have seen many Latino novellas on tv with my ex's family and their over exaggeration in their cheezy actions, not knowing what is going on. I developed a distaste for them, but this is pretty good, even though it is dubbed for Netflix. I hope there will be more seasons or another season at least since there is the issue of the challenge and always wrenching plans, despite who is doing it. At the same time, that is what today's youth does, so maybe the show will just end having the characters get what they want and be happy.

Bleach (2004–2023)

First watching in 2021
2 February 2021
I never understood the hype of the show until now. I saw a minute or two of an episode years ago on Toonami, but I did not know it was Bleach at the time because I caught it in the middle. I had no clue what was going on. I do remember a guy dressed in black robes and orange colored hair, which I know now is Ichigo; a guy or girl wearing all white, and a guy in a striped hat. I lost interest by not knowing what was happening.

Now that I am watching it from ep 1, the ep I saw makes sense because I know the roles the characters play and Ichigo is the main character. It definitely gets an anime watcher hooked because it makes one wonder how does a kid be a soul reaper and a high school student at the same time?

As of April 19, 2021, I finally finished and am bummed that there a few holes left to tell from the manga that are not in the anime. The anime ended at a good point, but at the same time, I do not want it to end.

Can do without the hip hop
17 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Cute Cheistmas movie, except for the hip hop. I like Christmas movies, black cast or not, and enjoy musicals, but the hip hop kinda ruined it a little. The dancing scenes could have been left out. I like the clothes and the era. The 3 men doing background singing remind me of BBD. Good movie, except the hip hop and dancing.

Had a few chuckles and relatable
14 October 2020
It was better than I thought it would be. The trailers on tv do not due justice to this movie. I like the different mythological characters that are introduced. It is a fuzzy feeling movie because 2 brothers want to see their father again and will do anything to get him back. They get a staff and use it as seen in the trailers. I can relate because I lost a parent, except they had a mom still and I had a dad who was really hard to talk to. I would do anything to get my mom back. Anyone who had a special bond with a person would. It doesnt matter what relation. Just thinking about that made me tear up.

Never watched until now
25 September 2020
This is a show I never watched when I lived in NY. My grandparents watched all the shows that had to do with NY. Now that I am watching it, it reminds me of home. Carrie and Doug's marriage reminds me of my own and how I used to fight with my ex-husband. It is a funny show for me because I can relate to it and all the little things that New Yorkers do. Even though I do not live there anymore, my mannerisms still traveled with me.

Legacies: I'll Never Give Up Hope (2019)

Was hoping for Elijah
17 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
As Hope is looking for a way out, she meets the man from last season who was able to get out of Malivore. I was hoping it would be Elijah since he and Klaus killed themselves. They were wondering if there is an afterlife, so I thought maybe a cameo would happen for an episode or 2 in Legacies because all the viewer sees is the sleeve of a suit grabbing Hope until the camera pans to the character. Hope is not thrilled by who it is. I was hoping for Elijah and thought maybe Malivore would be the afterlife seeing as monsters also come from him. Plec could have tied it in. I would take Klaus even. A friendly face or guidance for Hope being in unfamiliar territory.

I was looking on Netflix and found another part of the Arcadia series. I was quite surprised about all of the series. I liked it so much and hope there will be more after this. There is more to do for this series and ample paths to take. It is a great series and incorporates many characters from Troll Hunters.

2nd time watching the show
14 August 2020
I still love the show, but I never saw the gay undertones it had as a teen when first aired. All I saw was 2 women with very different personalities becoming best friends and learning from each other. Gabrielle learned how to fight and strategize from Xena and Xena became a better person undoing her reign of terror from Gabrielle. They did love each other, but a loving friendship like theirs is to be expected when traveling together for a long time and always finding trouble whether they find it or it finds them. The second time watching the show, I saw how people talked about the characters being gay. I still thought they were besties who had a loving friendship. It is a great show just watching it and looking up to Xena and Gabrielle as strong women when a young female. Wanting a chakram and an Argo helps too. I also loved the silly noises that were made. It made some moments funny.

Ooh, Scott Bakula...
25 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I never thought I would be hooked on the show. I was looking through the sat guide for something to watch. Late at night, can't sleep thing and I saw this. Scott Bakula, it shouldn't be too bad for a late night tv stint, different. CCH Pounder, I have seen her in other things and like her acting also. Something to watch and I loved it. I found out they have 2 channels to watch repeats on, not counting CBS. Usually I do not like law/cop shows like NCIS or even Bones, and tried to watch the original, but did not find it appealing to me until Scott Bakula. I started watching it when it came on during the day and now i dvr it. I haven't finished S5 and S6 yet, but I intend to. I know a little about 6 and they get new teammates in the series. Vanessa Ferlito was a good addition to the southern accents because she is from Brooklyn and I happen to be from The Bronx. I can relate being the odd one. She balances out the southern accents with her New York accent. This show is a hit with me and hope it continues for awhile like the original.

The Magicians: Fillory and Further (2020)
Season 5, Episode 13
10/10
Good episode
12 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I thought they would be all together in the new Fillory. Come full circle since everything started in there. Maybe they could bring Q back to the new Fillory since he was the only one who truly believed in it. I really wanted Q to be there in some way. Fen, Margo, Josh, and Alice have their Fillory with Pizza ovens, knife trees, bacon trees, whatever else. Julia and Penny have their baby. It gave me fuzzy feelings, but to make it a bit sweeter would be to have Q there to share in making a new Fillory or at least in spirit. Their Penny is the afterlife desk clerk, he could have pulled strings.

Nice Adult Syfy show
4 May 2020
This is a great show and was surprised that Syfy put it on. I have been wanting to see it, but do not want to pay for DC Universe since I already pay for some streaming services. If I was into reading comic books also, I probably would subscribe. I love it, although Robin's voice is whiny. The voice does not fit the character. My favorite DC character is Harley Quinn and is not given her due until recently with the movies and now her own cartoon. I really hope Syfy continues to air them.

A few chuckles at first
19 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
At the start, it gave me a few chuckles because the voices went to different characters and did not seem to fit. Devito trying to act like Bravestone and Johnson trying to act like a Jewish old man did not fit at all. It lacked. Things got better as it went on and made me laugh hard. Hearing Kevin Hart with Danny Glover's voice and manners was great. Some of the beginning was ok. Great movie, just a little ehh at the beginning. I am glad it turned out well, otherwise I would have felt bad for renting it.
