Jaws (1975)
A True Masterpiece
The first time I ever watched Jaws, I wasn't crazy about it. The second time I watched Jaws, I was glued to the scream. This movie features some of the most ingenious uses of suspense ever brought to a film. What enforces that suspense is the amount of care and appreciation you develop for the characters. They're all played to perfection and become the characters. Another thing this film deserves praise on is the screenplay. It's not Tarantino or anything, but its still pretty good. One of my favorite scenes in both this film and of all cinema is when Chief Brody looks out into the ocean with determination to kill this shark. In a nutshell, Jaws is simply a masterpiece in movie-making that invests me more each time I watch it. It's an excellent movie.
