Hawaii Five-0: Pa'a Ka 'ipuka I Ka 'Upena Nananana (2016)
Gabriel is an Android
I still can't get past the fact the Gabriel is walking. I guess the writers figured if they wait a few weeks we wouldn't notice that, after falling from a four story building and landing on his butt, seemingly crushing his spine, that we find him alive and well and WALKING in some crack/meth house. AND, in the process of escaping, they have Gabriel JUMP from one building roof, to another building roof with a gunshot wound to his belly...this guy must be an android to be able to survive that kind of bodily damage. The producers seem to be throwing this show together as fast as they can and they don't care about the details or logistics, I can't believe the actors don't say something.
Hawaii Five-0: Umia Ka Hanu (2016)
Jumped the shark,
Lou absolutely loses his mind in this episode...he kidnaps, ties up, tortures his ex-friend who Lou believes killed his wife. He then proceeds to tear apart this guy's house looking for money that he stole many years ago. Then, the guys new wife shows up and Lou ties her up too. Lou takes a sledge hammer to the house looking for the money, then he notices a picture that was taken a long time ago of him and his friend and an old beat up car his friend was trying to restore...Lou realizes that the car looks the same now as it did back then, so he takes the sledge hammer to the car and finds the money that will ultimately put his friend in jail for a long time, but NOT for killing his wife, though. But here's the problem, Lou committed a bunch of criminal acts throughout this episode, kidnapping, torture, breaking and entering, destruction of property, oh, and another kidnapping charge...but, the next week, Lou is back in Hawaii, and no discussion of his behavior, and, most importantly, NO consequences.
Hawaii Five-0: Ke Koa Lokomaika'i (2016)
Medically IMPOSSIBLE
OK, Five-O has taken liberties throughout this series, but this episode was the last straw. The showdown with Gabriel was a fight between him and Chin, the fight lasts a while, but it ends with Chin throwing Gabriel out of a window falling 4 stories and landing squarely on his butt on top of a car. Now, he was in a sitting position when he hit the car, so the fall would have, most certainly, broken his spine, we all assume he is dead, but, at the end, he's gone. Where did he go? Even if he survived the fall, he would NOT be able to walk...ever! So, was he taken away or did he walk/run away? It seems to me that the writers of this show are just putting together some plot lines, try to make them fit, film the thing in 20 minutes, have the editors piece the thing together into some kind of show, showing a LOT of meaningless gun fire, to get your attention...all this in about a day, so they can spend the rest of the week enjoying the Hawaiian experience. Bad writing...UGH.
