A must-watch for comedy nerds
14 July 2015
If you love stand-up comedy, especially the "alternative" comedy scene of today, this show is tailor-made for you. Jonah and Kumail are a great comedy team, and wonderful stand ups in their own right. They've been hosting this weekly show since 2010, inviting some of the biggest names, and some you may not have heard of (but should!), to perform for a dedicated audience of comedy fans. The show is split between what happens on stage, and what happens in the green room. Viewers are a fly on the wall for some hilarious conversation between some of the funniest minds working today. Often there'll be comedians/actors hanging out that aren't performing on the show, they just are there to hang out and crack each other up. It's hard to pick which part of the show I like more. The only complaint I have about this show is it's too short. It should be at least an hour-long. I believe some of the comedians don't want all of their material shared, which I definitely respect and understand.

Nic Cage, Micheal Caine and camel toes what more could you want?
30 October 2005
Warning: Spoilers
The Weather Man stars Nicholas Cage as David Spritz, a local news station weather man with a refreshing smile which some might call an "asshole face". What he lacks in a meteorology degree he makes up for in his green screen skills, which he has mastered over the years at his station. Spritz, who's real name is Spritzer, changed his name to be catchier and give people a good feeling. A TV name which coincides with his "Spritz Nipper" the day of the week he thinks will be the coldest.

Micheal Caine plays his father, Robert Spritzer, a retired author who is nothing but unimpressed with David's weather work and wishes he'd get himself together and get his daughter into better fitting clothes.

I think the film was excellently done. If excellently's even a word. The acting was great, nothing beats Nic Cages facial expressions and hearing him say "dildo" was great too, and seeing him kick some ass was "refreshing" also. The soundtrack and score were great too, Iggy Pop and a few others contributed. Great stuff all around, only wish it was released around Christmas, it seems more of a winter-time movie, as much of a downer it is, maybe then it would've caught more acclaim than the negativity it's getting.
