Relax it's the first episode!
31 December 2021
Saw a few bad reviews on here. I'm glad overall it's getting good reception. I think the show is giving what's expected. A solo Boba Fett story that paints him in a new light than what we've seen him be in the films. Give it time, it looks epic so far and shows Boba as a complete badass. I'm excited to see where it goes!

As a Christian, this movie is bad.
31 January 2019
Okay, to all of my fellow Christians out there reading this, it is OK to not like Christian movies. Yes, their message is good, but it doesn't mean its presented well. God taught us to be loving, accepting, and forgiving...

But I'm sorry, these movies are atrocious. The setups are unreal, over the top, and in all honesty made to scare christians. They show that everyone hates our religion and is actively trying to destoy it, which there are some that do believe that, but chances are you're not gonna have to encounter that. So much money is put to a franchise that builds off of propaganda that makes every little thing in someones life extremely important and dramatic. A lot of pureflix films are as cheesy as Blumhouse horror films at times. Really look at the way its shot, take away the stilted acting, the way it's directed shows how terrible they are. Shots where we're supposed to feel emotional makes us laugh because they're so over the top and cringey. I know the actors are trying their best, and the younger actors aren't too terrible, but these movies aren't low rated because of everyone hating on Christianity. They're hated because they're actually poorly and cheaply made films.

Yes, the show is bad... BUT!
29 July 2018
This movie is something truly beautiful. It's not the original Teen Titans, but it's also not the atrocity that is known as Teen Titans Go! It's something in between, and before the end credits started rolling, I was happy. I wasn't overly thrilled, but I was glad TTG was actually pretty good. However, that end credits scene.

I STARTED CRYING OH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER TO HAPPEN. I'm not going to give it away, but this movie is worth the watch for the end credits scene alone.

I Feel Pretty (2018)
Coming from an Amy Schumer nonsupporter
25 April 2018
I have seen a good amount of Amy Schumer's films, standup, and skits, hoping that there would be some change.

Schumer's message is that you should be confident with your body, which is good for every girl or even guy to hear in this day in age. Usually, she messed up this message by pairing it with obnoxiously vulgar vernacular, and has proven time and time again that she cannot hold her own as a comedian without assistance. I have despised Schumer's work for years now, but I wanted to go into this film with an unbiased opinion...

And I was pleasantly surprised. I Feel Pretty is am innocent comedy that presents a message that has been done to death, but is a message that needs to be done repeatedly for modern day audiences. There are some parts in the film that make my bones cringe, but overall, not that bad. It definitely doesn't deserve the rating it has currently, it is average if not slightly above average. I probably won't remember it well in a couple of weeks, but it's worth seeing it once if you have nothing to do on a Saturday afternoon.

Death Note (I) (2017)
I had to turn this off
25 August 2017
If you've never heard of the anime, you may enjoy this. But if you love the original, stay away. I gave this about 30 minutes of my time, but clearly, the writers have no clue what the anime was about. This adaptation is comparable to Dragonball: Evolution, with better CGI. My only good thing I can say is Willem Defoe as Ryuk sounds cool, but it cannot save this film. Light is painful to watch, and Mikasa... Sorry, "Mia" has no likability, and is a shadow of her quirky self from the source material. It could be amazing after the 25-minute mark, but I don't really care. Thanks to Hollywood for ruining another beloved anime.
