The Suffering (2016)
Easily one of the most underrated movies of 2016
I can't believe virtually nobody has even heard of this movie. The suffering takes place in an old estate, where the main character Henry has been hired to appraise the property. In the opening scenes you can't shake the feeling something is off. The dialog, music, and sound effects come together in just the right ways to produce a unique creepy atmosphere to this movie.
As the movie progresses you encounter some good jump scares, a deeper complexity to the main character, and a great story line. The ending of the film is good, I honestly didn't see the twist coming until the big reveal at the end. I've watched this movie a couple times since I first watched it,the story line doesn't seem to lose appeal to me, and I've even found a few things I've missed.
I'm glad I stumbled upon this movie, it easily became one of my favorites.
Left Behind (2014)
My god this movie is awful
I'd like to start off by mentioning I am not a Christian, I don't believe in fairy tails; with that said I do however like a good story. Unfortunately this movie does not deliver that. The movie started off decent, and the cast looked promising (with the exception of Jordan sparks). The characters are seemingly hollow, and unconvincing. The movie drags on becoming somewhat of a comedy by mistake. The movie lacks excitement, nearly 2 hours of uneventful predictable cliché. By the time the film ended I was left wondering how could someone produce this and not be completely embarrassed? That goes for the actors as well. If you plan on watching this movie, save yourself the boredom and move on to the next movie on your list.
