This show was amazing, rarely before have I felt such a want for the main character to succeed and find happiness. There is due to fantastic character writing in Violet herself, she will quickly become a character that you hold dear and find every second she is on screen to be fascinating.

I do think the show has some flaws, but overall it is such a beautifully made show with possibly the best animation I have ever seen coupled with emotional depth, some mystery, great voice acting and amazing music.

This is a show that should be experienced by anyone who has an appreciation for media that can tug on the heart strings and leave a long lasting impression.

I am not a big time anime fan by any measure, but after stumbling upon this show I must say that I was blown away by it. It is a beautifully made animation with incredible visuals, passionate voice acting (I watched the English version) and amazing music.

The best part about this show is the softness of the story and how it can make so many simple moments feel very special. The main characters are very well written, they all feel unique with good traits and flaws all equally on display, which allows them to quickly become characters that you feel invested in.

I can't wait to watch more of this show, and I will probably buy my first ever manga because of it :)

No spoilers. I was very shocked at some of the negative reviews as I can be quite a harsh critic myself but in my opinion this movie is a solid 8/10.

For a movie like this that has a lot to give and explain I think 2 hours is a good run time, at no point did the movie feel long winded. I am not a massive Cruise fan but he plays this role very well. Others have pointed out some flaws and no doubt like everything it isn't perfect but if you are looking for some interesting, thought provoking and moving sci-fi then give Oblivion a watch.
