Vikram (2022)
9/10
Good movie with Great Performances
4 June 2022
Vikram is one of the most interesting and anticipating movie for everyone because of the massive star cast. After Pushpa, RRR and KGF Chapter 2, Vikram is released to roar. The film is a complete commercial paisa wasool movie.

First half of the movie is fantastic. Fahadh Faasil is the best young actor in today's time according to me. He has done a superb job. Vijay Setupathy is a gem of an actor. I loved his entry scene here. No other actor can pull up this entry scene as he has done it. Other star cast is also very much suitable and provide a good support. First half belongs to FaFa and Vijay.

While, the second half is a treat for Kamal Haasan fans. Ulaga Nayagan- Kamal Haasan is extremely good in the post interval portion. You will be surprised to see him firing constantly from the giant machine gun. That scene is on another level.

Though, one may find first half awesome and second half a bit stretched. I found that there are some surprises in the later half, but there are a few blunders too. But just a few. Like I didn't get the scene of child re-breathing.

Special mention to the actress who played the role of a maid. She is superb.

Lokesh's direction is improving gradually. This film will be considered his finest directorial product. He has done a fine job, without getting caught by the idea of too much slow-motion, which many people hate including me, and which were too much in KGF. Though, this film is different from RRR and KGF, it can be compared with Pushpa. As part 2 is coming here too. People are going to love Surya as the bad guy in part two. Just a glimpse of him in the end was terrific.

Anirudhha has done his job superbly once again. The title theme music is on my mind while I'm writing this. Extraordinary music with a catchy tune is what Anirudhha offers to you!

On the whole, a must watch movie in theaters. This is how a good commercial south indian movie looks like. A good movie with stellar performances.

Jersey (2022)
8/10
Shahid Kapoor and team bring pure heart!
24 April 2022
After the storm of south Indian masala movies, this one comes as a pure heart from Bollywood. Though, this is also a South Indian movie, because the director of the film is Gowtam Tinnanuri, who had made the same film in Telugu before.

This time it is Shahid Kapoor as Arjun Talwar in the film. After the massive success of Kabir Singh, a class act from him is expected. And he delivers it likewise. Along with superb supportive cast of Pankaj Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur.

Film Jersey is about a cricketer who quits cricket initially but decides to revive his career at the age of 36 for his son's dream and to eventually prove his ability. Although, Shahid is also an underdog for Bollywood. With every film he has to prove himself to the industry. Still no biggies support him, on his film releasing or even on his birthday. But he is playing it with true spirits every time. He delivers a good score and gets sustained.

This film is emotionally rich. After a while, there is a multiplex movie, which can be seen with parents and children. It is a perfect family package in recent times. With eye catching cinematography by Anil Mehta and full of heart music by Sachet-Parampara, this film has a solid look and feel. Songs are fantastic. Kudos to music team and lyricist Shelly. Each song has depth. My favourite from this album is Mayya Mainu. It is pure gold, and thus on the top position in the list of best songs since last December.

Cricket and films are two big things in India. Both has emotions attached with it. This stylish film gives you a complete entertainment. Shahid's character is underdog, who can achieve something big, but nobody is willing to give him a chance. He fights back and prove himself. That is why this story of a normal guy is relatable to one and all. It has a wider reach for sure. Though it is a fact that after seeing never before visuals in recent movies, one should ask more. But one should understand that, this is an emotional film, not a money maker. One should differentiate between the different genres of movies and judge them accordingly.

On the whole, go and watch out Jersey. It will surely give you a good time at cinema with your entire family together.

Mardaani 2 (2019)
8/10
Much Needed Story.
14 December 2019
Rani Mukerji is back in her action flick franchise, Mardaani 2. Written and directed by Gopi Puthran, this film is based in Kota, Rajasthan. Where a young boy bruitally raps a girl and then kills her. How IPS Shivani Roy solves the case to catch the bad guy is what the film is about.

Mardaani brought the badest villian possible in new age cinema. This time too they are showcasing the bad man very badly. Newcomer, Vishal Jethwa has delivered a spledid performance. Everybody gonna hate him for sure. And that's where he wins!

Rani Mukerji is absolutely superb. She is giving one after another fab performances. I got goosebumps in the end when she was doing what has to be done at that moment. I was stunned by the vibes at the end of the film. Some viewers were clapping and that surely was sudden. Because this film has the perfect ending. After hearing so many news of rapes and murders, this type of end captures your soul from the left, right and centre.

Kudos to the team. To the writer and director, for such an engaging story. Though, I must write that this film could have been made extremely well. Few scenes could have added so much depth for sure. Also, This film is a must watch. For all Indians. Just like a little bit in first half could make it cult.

I like that background tune. It was fantastic. Loved all twists and turns throughout the run. You will never feel low at any moment. Breaking of fourth wall for the rapist character was something like never before. We were into that bad man's ill mind just because of that.

On the whole, Mardaani 2 is surely a must watch. It will play with your sensibility and mentality nicely. Wait for the vibrant end to catch you. And let's hope for the better change in the world.

Dream Girl (III) (2019)
7/10
Go for one liners... And Ayushmann to hai hi!
15 September 2019
Ayushmann Khurrana is on the roll. He is giving back to back hits. He loves to do a different kind of role in each film. This time he has become Pooja, a dream girl to many people of his city. It is a fun ride for the audience.

Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Dream Girl is about a boy who is stuck in the job of a call center where he has to attend calls from the people of his city and talk to them in the voice of a girl, named Pooja. People fall in love with this imaginary girl. And thus, this is becoming tough for the boy in his real life. How does he manage to escape from that is the story-line of the film.

If this film does not have Ayushmann, it would have become flop. But, when you have Khurrana, your eyes are glued on the screen. Also, there is Nushrat Bharucha to catch your eyeballs time by time. But I guess she is wasted here. Manjot Singh as friend and Annu Kapoor as father are two strong pillars of this movie. Both have rocked it in the second half for sure. Loved their presence in the film very well. Others are good.

Music is poor. I don't know how these tunes got selected! None of them looks original to me. That romantic song reminds me of Dekhte Dekhte song from Batti Gul. Radhe Radhe is the only likable song. But its choreography is okayish.

I think the treatment of the story-line is similar to Vicky Donor. While watching the film, I had a doubt that making money from sperm donation was understandable, but how does he making so much money from a call center? I didn't get the threats by the owner of that center, too. Why. Bhaiya Why?

Dialogues are fantastic. The oxygen of the film. And I think the film will work on box office just because of its dialogues. They are superbly written. Loved all the one liners. Especially by Manjot and Annu. My most favourite scene is when Ayush and Manjot go to hospital and while they are shouting, one lady interrupts and tell them not to raise your voice, as her husband had ear surgery. 'Dhire boliye, Inke Kaan ka operation hua hai.' To which Manjot replies, 'Kya! Uncle ko Bawasir hua hai?' Hahaha..

On the whole, It was not that good. But I guess trailer said it all. Just go to enjoy the one liners. It will surely make you laugh. And Belated happy birthday to dream-boy Ayushmann Khurrana!

Sacred Games: Matsya (2019)
Season 2, Episode 1
8/10
Not what I was expecting, but a decent watch, Saif's best performance!
15 August 2019
A Netflix series, Sacred Games, which is an adaptation of a book by Vikram Chandra of the same title. Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane directed the first season last year. It became the most successful and powerful web series of India till now. And in the midnight, when the fans are keeping their eyes open, Netflix released the second season last night at twelve!

Directed by Anurag Kashyap and Niraj Ghayvan, this is a continuation from the story left at the end of season one. Where Sartaj Singh finds out Trivedi and other things related to Nuclear Bomb in the underground room. While we were yet to see how was the third father of Ganesh Gaitonde, who made it possible for Gaitonde to escape from the jail. 14 days are left to the D-Day! And this season comes to the end at the beginning of the season one's first episode. Just like a full circle!

I believe, Sartaj Singh is Saif Ali Khan's most lovable character. Also, this is his best performance so far. Surveen Chawla as Jojo performed very well. She is amazing throughout the season. I was waiting to see what Pankaj Tripathi would bring to the table of the most lovable web series as a badman. He is good. But does not fascinate me much, as I was expecting! Other supportive cast, including Kalki and Ranveer Shoery are nice in their parts. But, I missed Katekar and Kookoo!

Nawazuddin in this season is like a soda bottle. First four episodes keep Gaitonde under pressure, so he erupts like bubbles from fifth episode. His performance, as well as the making, is fantastic after he takes a pill of Gochi at Ashram. I very much like the psychological parts in last episodes. And how can I not mention about the best thing of this series, which is background score!

However, I felt the ending was not like an Anurag Kashyap movie ending. It reminded me the climax of Agent Vinod! Though, this season is not like the first one, where nudity and comedy were going parallel. Here, the Sacred part of this Sacred Games are mainly captured. It may be possible that too much of sacred-ness will bring complexities to some. I saw many posting about watching Sacred Games s2 at 12, but very few continued binge watching. As the subject is bit complex.

On the whole, be prepared for getting lost in the sacred world of Guruji, third father of Gaitonde. And do support Sartaj Singh in the mission of saving Mumbai! Well, I must say, don't get closer to him, don't be his friend, otherwise he doesn't get affected, but you... hehe... 'Aham Brahmasmi'!

Super 30 (2019)
7/10
Hrithik is a good actor- No one can forget this! Good movie.
12 July 2019
Hrithik Roshan is back on screen after a long time. It is the biopic of Anand Kumar. HR is able to pull it of in Bihari accent. His chemistry with Mrunal Thakur is superb. Audience is loving her presence. I love the face of between Aditya Shrivastav and Hrithik in so many scenes. It was like Kante ki takkar. Pankaj Tripathi plays his character well. Kids and others are supportive too. Extraordinary use of VFX and Background music. It was lovely to here Udit Narayan's voice after a long time in a romantic track along with Shreya. Music is given by Ajay Atul, while Lyrics have been penned by Amitabh Battacharya. Basanti Song was good, too. Paisa song was the best one for me according to the story. It came on the right time. And the film got pace. Best thing about this film is its film-making. It is simply fantastic. I think it is Vikas Behal's best directorial product. However, I felt confused in the climax, whether such type of incedents happened, or it was fictional. Story was good, but not the best. Screenplay lacks that passion. It was more of a melodrama. People watching non-Hindi and English films may not be able to attach with this film totally. But aam janta will love it. I must say that, Anand Kumar surely had a tough life. Those threats, even till last year, on both Kumar brothers, are shocking. Education is not a business. People on top should understand this. Kudos to Anand Kumar and his supporters for opening Super 30 batch for poor but ambitious kids. The hall was packed. People were clapping and cheering throughout the run. It was the last scene which got many of us. Along with Hrithik, many viewers had tears. That scene surely defines how good he is in acting. It will be a sure hit. Take your family and enjoy this film. Get inspired to learn something and give it back to the needful.

Article 15 (2019)

Ayushmann and Anubhav will hit you hard!
28 June 2019
Anubhav Sinha is back with this crime drama, starring Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead. June is going superb for Hindi Film Indutsry. Kabir Singh is still running houseful. Now, this has come.

Ayushmann is an IPS officer. He has been posted in a small village in UP. However, the next day itself, the police get two bodies of minor girls hanging on the tree. They were raped multiple times. The story gets its pace. And this crime drama continues with the subtext of casteism.

Anubhav Sinha has tried to cover as many incidents of Dalits and other backward class people as possible which happened in our country in last few years. The motto is just to aware people on how this things work. From whatsapp messages to arrangement of strikes and rallys, this is how we are dividing us into groups. Also, this is 2019, not just 19! Justice should prevail for everyone without considering his/her caste. And there comes the title, Article 15, which gives each Indian basic rights.

Ayushmann has given a splendid performances. He is too good for this role. Isha Talwar gives a needful support to him. Sayami Gupta shines in her effective role. Best of her was crying with Kumud Mishra in this film. Kumud Mishra is terrific. He has played this role like no one can. His slap scene is clap worthy. Manoj Pahwa again delivers wonderful performance. Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub has a special appearance. The time he comes in the story, the film picks up very high. Fantabulous performance by him.

Movie has no songs in it. Just a satire song at the starting. And a rap song at the end credits.

Dialogues are absolutely fantastic. 'Power ki alag hi jaat hoti hai!' Hard hitting one liners will blow your mind. Entire speech by Zeeshan Ayyub in the jeep is perfectly written. Audience were clapping on the last line of that dialogue by him. While my most favorite one has been spoken by Ayushmann to his officer, that 'Jab Aag Lagi Hui Ho Aur Aap Neutral Rahen, To Iska Matlab Hai Ki Aap Unn Logon Ke Side Hain Jo Aag Laga Rahe Hain!'

This is going to be a hit in Anubhav Sinha's kitty. While in first half, I was not sure whether this one is more good or that Mulk! But I got clear answer in second half. Film picks up very high. There is a greatest twist too. Public were stunned in that scene. Film is superbly written by Sinha and Gaurav Solanki.

There is scene of bodies of rape victims hanging on the tree, and a kid passes by. It gave me goosebumps. Another one is a man coming out of the gutter. One at the interval point, nd one at the last line of a long dialogue by Mohd Zeeshan. Also, it is not a serious film. This year's the most comic scene is in this one. Ayushmann discussing castes with his team.

Overall, Article 15 a is very much needful film in this time. It may not be linked with metro cities, but India is a nation of villages and small towns. Kudos to Anubhav Sinha and team for choosing this subject. Police were there in the theater for safety purpose. But there is nothing wrong in the film for any community or caste. This film will run with mouth publicity. So go and watch this entertaining crime drama. And ask yourself a question that Kaun Hain Aap! Bahujan, Harijan.. Ke Jan Gan Man me aate sirf Jan. #FarqAayega

Kabir Singh (2019)
7/10
Shahid Kapoor's best film at Box Office
21 June 2019
Kabir Singh belongs to Shahid Kapoor & Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It is the remake of Arjun Reddy, by the same director-writer.

I never felt Arjun Reddy was a great movie. So, I did not go with high expectations. People are going crazy about this movie. But, I knew it will not be that great. Because of its run-time. In first half, there are some boring elements. You can sense them. Though, I didn't find anything dull in second half.

Shahid Kapoor is as usual great. This will not count as his best performance. But it will be remembered by many. Thus, many will go to watch this film only for SK. I have never saw these type of shouts in any Shahid Kapoor movie. Some will surely go for 2nd time. The love story represented here is absolutely raw. You can feel for the characters, Kabir and Preeti. This is the film for youngsters, especially collegians.

Kiara Advani is natural. But she got very few lines. People were laughing at 50th minuet, ki Aakhirkaar pehla dialogue boli. Kabir's friend, named Shiva is superb. Arjan Bajwa and Suresh Oberoi are good.

I heard each song first time Today. Bekhayali and Tujhe Kitna Chahte Rahe Hum are fab. To the point. Adding values to the story compeletely. Credit goes to lyricists Irshad Kamil and Mithoon. Others like Mere Sohneya and Kaise Hua are superb too. Will listen to all of them. In this film, I loved long takes. It is a good thing to involve viewers into your story. And there's always the suitable background music each time. And because of that only, you will get into this world only in first 5 minutes.

One problem is chopping. Because it was supposed to be 184min movie and they cut it down to 174, so some parts are missing. That's why you will get questions in your head about some happenings in the story. Also, disappointed with CBFC, because Gaalis have been muted.😢 Then why the hell is it an adult film!

On the whole, if you are a youngster, you will surely have a great time. It is a rare thing that, Couples from all over India will watch this film for sure. In fact, all single rebels will go for sure as well. It means this is going to huge hit in Shahid Kapoor's career. This is a good Bollywood Movie after a long time, so go for it. Just enjoy while watching, don't keep anything into your mind from the life of Kabir Singh.

Sonchiriya (2019)
9/10
Best of Sushant, Abhishek Chaubey and this year, so far...
3 March 2019
What makes a film to be called as cult or classic? It stays with you after you watch it, stays in your memory till your memory lasts. Abhishek Chaubey is truly a craftsman. He evolves with every film. He makes a film which would be better than his previous films. After an awesome Udta Punjab, he is back to show us dacoits of Chambal.

Having a tremendous cast, the film is absolutely must watch in theaters. What you like is not Cinema, if you want to know the real kind of entertaining and engaging film of 146min, then you should see Sonchiriya. It deals with so many subjects which will blow your heart. Super engaging and full of twists, this film is the best film till now. Also, Sushant Singh Rajput's best film as a performer is this one. You will be with him from start to end. Whatever ideas you may get about climax, this character will stay with you in a positive way. That's why I loved the film to the moon and back.

Bhumi Pednekar is doing great job as an actor in industry. She is fantastic. You will surely feel for her and the little girl with her. Best part of the film according to me is when these are going on boat and title song starts in the divine voice of Rekha Bhardwaj. Followed by the act on which the story of this film is based on, my heart was in my mouth. That was the moment for what I would like to give this film full marks.

Manoj Bajpayee is truly an artist. Mansingh played by him, has so many layers, so much depth, it's upto you how far you can go and take back something which will be useful in life. Ranvir Shorey is doing absolutely fantastic work. The breakdown scene of him is fabulous. The Gujjar Policeman, played by Ashutosh Rana, is class act. Other characters are awesome as well. Casting director deserves his credit for the wonderful cast. Each and every one taches us something. Go and grab it.

Action sequences are damn cool. Good mixutre of slow motion and closeups. I felt the camera was shacky in the beginning. But then it becomes the most engaging tool for us. The haunting scene of a girl for Manoj and Sushant's character are shown very effectively. I too got stumped each time. Also in the night as well.

To do or not to do, that is the question! When Sushant is looking into our eyes. We as an audience is fully connected with him. Can dacoits be good men? What is right and what is wrong! Kudos to Abhishek Chaubey and Sudeep Sharma, for setting a new high for dacoit story. That too without showing how and why they become dacoits, but what do they do being dacoit. Hugely impressed with Bundelkhandi dialogues. All are understandable, if not there are Engliah subtitles as well. Usage of cuss words are pitch perfect, we never heard them speaking intentionally or trying to make fun out of cuss words.

Sonchiriya is having out of the world scenes. Like Sushant riding a camel. Uff the background music is so much soulful. Film has been made superbly that you will not get any idea when your eyes will be getting wet. This is the pure magic of cinema.

As I mentioned above, Sonchiriya title track is pure lit. Vishal Bhardwaj has done great job. Varun Grover has penned lyrics. Sukhvinder Singh's voice will roar in Chambal. This the best album to look out for. Haunting and effectively disturbing.

Book your seats to watch Abhishek Chaubey's best film till date. Support good cinema, it will help you to grow in your life. Curse on your head is the most dangerous thing in the world. And life cycle does not stop for anyone. Everyone wants the golden bird, so be quick to ask for it at ticket window. You will feel proud about the power of a film. And that too our Indian film.

Undoubtedly, The Best. Cult n classic! That is why, going for an another time as well.

Kedarnath (2018)

Sara Ali Khan delivers great debut in Kedarnath
9 December 2018
Abhishek Kapoor is back again with a love story, based in Kedarnath. Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan as lead, this film is Sara's debut film. So all eyes are on her. And the story is also about the flood which happened in 2013, where many lost their everything!

Film is a love story of a pithhu muslim guy with a dauther of a Pandit. Both stay there up in the valley. The story goes softly in the first half. And second half is full of drama. I think there are some unnecessary scenes in the entire movie. But it never becomes boring at any point of time. The flood sequence in the last 20 something minutes are superb. Though VFX could have been better. But you can enjoy the visuals which're threatening.

One scene of water flowing over the main temple had got me the biggest goosebump in recent times. My screen was housefull. And everyone was watching with a pin drop silence in the hall. The film, which is going stronger because of the word of mouth from audiences, as people feel amazing to see those last portion in theaters.

Sara Ali Khan makes her shining debut here. She will probably get all awards of best debut female. She looks stunning in all salwars. Especially in that red salwar in Qafirana song. However, I want to ask the costume designer that why her character doesn't wear any sweater or jacket or shawl despite having seated in Kedarnath! 🤔

Sushant Singh Rajput is good. Not great or anything! I only liked him in that climax scene. Neetesh Bhardwaj is fine. Others are good. The Baba at valley is superfine!

Music is above average. Amit Trivedi has given the music. Starting with Namo Namo, the cinematography is superb. Qafirana, JaanNisaar and Sweethear are nicely written songs. So, first time I am listening to Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyrics who are greater than music. Wow. Arijit Singh always rocks in any film!

Story is by Kanika Dhillon and Abhishek Kapoor. I would say they could have created more depth in characterisation. We can't feel for them. It could have been made a better film. Also didn't like the cliche helicopter scene. 😐 Dialogues are not good, as I can sense that the heroine is not a Pandit girl in real but a muslim girl, beacause of her accent. Sushant is having lesser urdu words than Sara. This could have to be done rightly.

I have been there at Kedarnath four years before this tragedy happened. I have seen the beautiful valleys. I have experienced the cold out there. And more of the above, the holyness of the temple and its surrounding. So, I went to watch this film to revisit Kedarnath. However, it is impossible for anyone to showcase look a like Kedar on screen of before the year 2013. This team have tried their best. But how can I be so amazed with this world in the movie!

On the whole, you should definitely go for this film. Because Sara has given fine performance and location needs eyesights. Watch this film in theaters only, because you can't watch it at home anyday! This film is happened to be seen on big screens. Not great, not bad. But, surely watchable.

Best Film... Hands Down!
29 November 2018
First of all, let me clear one thing that I am not anyone's diehard fan here from this film. I am a diehard fan of an entertaining film, irrespective of its cast, language and country. Though, being an Indian, I feel connected with Indian movies more. So, when I came to know about the biggest project of Indian Cinema, which is 2.0, I got excited. I even went to watch the teaser of it in nearest PVR Cinemas just because it's in 3D. I was not very happy after seeing the teaser. It didn't look like a 500cr+ movie at all. Then I saw its trailer. It had wonderful background score by A.R. Rahman, but the freshness or you can say the feeling was missing in visuals. Many were laughing at 2.0 that it'll going to be an another bad experience just like Thugs. Having all of these in my mind, I went to watch it Today.

Believe me, my ticket price got redeemed in the very first minute of the film. Yes, you read it right. Before even any scene, my money got redeemed. How! It's just that the titles have wonderful 3D effects which no one has ever seen it in any movie. If you can watch it in 4DX, please go for it. Unfortunately, no shows are in 4dX here. In normal 3D also, the film looks stunning. Don't miss it in 3D!

The film has one very good thing, which is- entertaining screenplay. Shankar has done his job absolutely fantastic. He has written atmost entertaining screenplay for 2.0. Film never looses you even for a second. Abbas Tyrewala has written Hindi dialogues, and they are really good.

The second half starts with an emotional sequence. From where the film will lead us to the action sequences in the climax. All I can say is that emotional sequence could have been made better, but whatever is there, can be enjoyed fully. We can be able to see Akshay Kumar in a different role. Amyjackson looks stunning as Neela. She plays her part effectively.

Then comes the man, the Thalaiva, Superstar Rajnikanth. He is outstanding. There is a surprise factor of him as well. You are gonna love him. Also, don't miss the post credit scene after Tu Hi Re song. It has the best character of this film in it! It is hard to believe but there is no song in the film, like in the south Indian film! Actually, there is no space for any song, and I'm very glad that they did not push anything randomly. Just a Kailash Kher song is there in the background, which is likable because of its story telling and visuals.

The after effect of 2.0 is very personal. You have to keep the lesson which this film is giving out. Earth is not only for humans, so we don't have any rights to treat her badly. This film strongly has the potential to be an international level movie. And thus, it will make Indian Cinema proud.

For Shankar, the man who always discovers new things on celluloid, who has guts to create this type of epic, who has absolutely high visions that can never be matched, you have to see this film in 3D. Else, you will regret. For Shankar only, you can not rate this film. Because after seeing the film, you will feel proud that this film has been made in your country. Hands down!

New kind of Bollywood cinema!
17 November 2018
This film is about a two year old girl getting trapped alone in the apartment along with the dead body of her mother lying on the bed. And it's based on a true story!

Curiosity generates when its trailer shocked everyone. However, the film is not excellent or mind blowing. I found that it is just an extended version of the trailer. It is not a bad film, it's a good film, but not the mind-blowing one.

Though, this film has to be told through cinema because it taught us how to live properly if you have a child. One mistake can led you to the trench. You will definitely gain something out of it.

The microwave shot was damn new thing. For me it was the best part of the film. However, I was feeling dizzy😅 in that moment because of the movement of camera.

The actor, Pihu, has done fantastic job. This can be the first film where you see just one actor on screen throughout the run time. Kudos to the makers for creating such cinema.

On the whole, Film asks for your patience. May be only parents will adore or enjoy this fully. Also, if you have newly born baby, or there babies around you, don't watch it now. Because it will haunt you for days and night. It is an eye opener for people living in high society and don't know how to maintain relationship after having a baby. Go and watch this to experience a new thing! And those who have weak hearts, avoid it.

Badhaai Ho (2018)
9/10
Indian Entertainment!
19 October 2018
What a year is 2018 for Bollywood! The content based films are recognized and appreciated by larger mumber of audience. This year is wonderful for Ayushmann Khurrana, as his two films (Both released in October itself) are getting great reviews and B.O. collection. Though, Andhadhun came on 5th October, it is unusual that these two Ayushamann starrer films are competing each other, as no other film is as good as these two.

Badhaai Ho is the film whose trailer raised the bar and everyone was expecting it to be a Hit. Film shows exactly what its trailer offers. Though, audience is very happy with this comedy drama. Story is fantastic and very unique. Ayushmann (Nakul)'s mother got pregnant (played by Neena Gupta), and this is not the normal thing. Neither for Ayush and his brother, nor for his grandmother, nor for his girlfriend and her mother, & nor for the society! Film deals with this issue in an organic way possible, and gives out best example that whatever happens, you need your family and family needs your support.

Sanya Malhotra looks so pretty! It's her 3rd film after Dangal and Patakha, and I love her in every film. Gajraj Rao plays the father of Nakul with such an ease. This film will get him the recognition he deserves. Neena Gupta plays her part brilliantly. The pair looks so perfect with each other. Best one is Daadi-Sa, Surekha Sikri. She is too good. Her dialogues in the second half will make you cry. I heard many saying they cried in the second half. And I guess it's because of her. Sheeba Chaddha is also good as Sanya's mother.

Film delivers the perfect humour which this kind of film requires. Some scenes are beautifully taken without any dialogues, but just with expressions. There are many moments when you will laugh out loud. Although, the love-story portion in the second half could have been more filmy and entertaining. It is there as a simple and good-going story. Though, it definitely is not boring from any point of time. For this, writers deserve applause, which are Akshat Ghildial, Jyoti Kapoor and Shantanu Srivastava.

Amit Sharma is the director of this film. It is his debut film. He looks promising. It will surely going to be a hit. And hence, hoping for more good work from him in his upcoming works.

This film is having the best suitable background score which a comedy film is supposed to have. There are not much songs. The title track is funny. 'Maari thi Missed call, lekin ho gaya Answer hi!' There is one super romantic track as well. And how can I forget the lullaby in the climax, where the film ends with the sweetest way possible!

Go and watch this film with your family. It is not a taboo topic which can't be seen with your parents. Try out and be modern like an educated man/woman should have to. And, oh, yes, I forget to mention about Ayushmann's performance... Well, I think since his first film he is doing his job great! So, Bollywood ko Ayushmann ki Badhaai Ho.

Feel good film
29 September 2018
#SuiDhaaga : Sharat Katariya and team is back after the most unusual film as well as very successful film called Dum Laga Ke Haisha. This time they are coming with another unique topic.

Mauji (Varun Dhawan) is an uneducated man, who works for a shop. The owner treats him like a dog. One day his wife Mamta (Anushka Sharma) finds out this and feels bad and insulted. Mauji leaves that job and starts his grandfather's business and love, that is tailoring. Although, he is too good in this thing, his father is unhappy with this profession because it is not a trustworthy profession. How they are being treated after creating unique gowns for patients at Hospital is where the change takes place.

Varun Dhawan is good as Mauji. Many men of India can be able to relate to him. I personally feel that Varun could have performed much better than this. Anushka Sharma shines in her new look in saree. Her emotions are pitch perfect. She has done a great job very nicely. Raghubir Yadav has played his part finely. Other supporting cast is superb, too. Namit Das as Guddu is item bomb. I mean, he comes and blasts and audience too get connected with him from the very first second.

Music is given by Anu Malik and lyrics have been penned by Varun Grover. Songs are good in the mood of film. I know, there are no hit songs here. But each song is soulful for sure. Papon's voice decorates the beautiful song Chaav Laga. The title song by Divya Kumar at the ramp walk is the song of the film. After getting ended, it stays with you for a long time.

Sharat Katariya is a good director. He knows how to deal with soft subjects with great emotions and that too with proper Indie touch. This film is going to be a hit for sure. Even the marketing team of this film have done extremely good things of promoting tailors across India. Sui-Dhaaga is definitely a must watch film with family.

Liked the way it is being edited. There are no boring scenes at all. It has humour, emotions and a very good thought. Indian should use products made in India. We are capable of producing, in fact we are producing, it is just that we have to start using and accepting our products. Feel proud to use Indian products.

Dreams are cool, but dreamer is a fool. This is what we feel about any young thinker. Let's give them a chance to work on their dreams, it may happen that some best work will come out that will give pride to them as well as whole country. Go for Sui Dhaaga, Made in India.

Feel good film
15 September 2018
'Love stories are always epic!' This time, Anurag Kashyap is behaving like a 2.0 version director and thus he made Manmarziyaan. The love triangle is set in Amritsar with Robbie, Rumi and Vicky!

Rumi played by Taapsee and Vicky Sandhu played by Vicky Kaushal are having very serious affair. They do Fyaar like mad lovers. When the family of Rumi came to know about them, Rumi asks Vicky to come for asking her hand. Somehow it doesn't happen. Meanwhile, her family finds a boy to do arranged marriage, which is played by Abhishek (Robbie). The fight between Fyaar and Pyaar begins. But what does Rumi do in choosing her life partner is what this film is about.

The essence is similar to like we had seen in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. We can see variety in the film because of Anurag. The concept of two silent girls showcasing the inner feelings of Rumi is very well used. Anurag made this movie to earn box-office figures which his movies didn't get any. But when I went for the first show, there were just 3 people in the capacity of 400 seats. That is awful! People should be ashamed of themselves. Feeling sorry for Anurag that his commercial attempt will never be a commercial success.

Biggest plus point is the pairing of Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu. Both have done great in this year itself. Both have delivered strong performances. No one else can be as strong as them. While Abhishek Bachchan is back after two years. That is why we can see him doing good on screen. Three are fine enough to spend some bucks on them this week.

Amit Trivedi is very underrated music composer. He has given many classic songs and albums. This one is being added to the Good Album list. Film is having 14 songs. Each song is required in the film. Songs which you have to listen are Daryaa, Dhyaanchand, Grey walaa shade, F for Fyaar, Chonch ladhiyaan & Jaisi teri marzi. Lyrics by Shelle is superb. 'Satluj Mein Ek Samndar Naache!'

Kanika Dhillon has written script, story and dialogues. Fresh writing is what people are appreciating in this film. Every confused lover should watch this film to open up about his or her Manmarziyaan.

On the whole, Anurag has made a delightful and watchable movie. Somehow post interval portion is slow compare to first one. Also, we can see the influence of Imtiaz Ali in the Honeymoon trip in Kashmir. Watch out this feel-good film for strong performances and Amit-Anurag combination.

Laila Majnu (2018)
9/10
Close your eyes before it, let the film open up your eyes as well as you!
8 September 2018
Adapted from the Persian narrative poem- Layla and Majnun, this film is presented by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Preety Ali, starring Avinash Tiwari and Tripti Damri in lead. Laila Majnu is directed by Sajid Ali, while written by Imtiaz and Sajid.

Film is based in Kashmir. How a girl named Laila (Tripti), a typical flirt and filmy girl, finds her love interest in a rich-spoiled man Qais, is the startup of the film. But there is an issue regarding their fathers, so the marriage seems to be impossible. What will happen next in their lives that leads them in to the state of Laila-Majnu, is the thing to look out for.

Imtiaz Ali said in his interview that the music in Laila Majnu film should not have to be average, or below averag. Despite having unknown names in music credit, we are having one of the best albums of this year. Niladri Kumar and Joi Barua have given absolutely pure music which fits perfectly into the story as well as in Kashmir. Not only that, but the lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil. Thus, songs are literally talking to us so much while in the film, (or even after the movie, too!) and make us fall in love with the story. All songs are incredible. Ahista is the one song I will remember for giving me one of the strongest goosebumps ever. Laila, Tu, Sarphiri - all are fantastic. While in Hafiz song, the memory of Sadda Haq pops up in the mind. In fact, there are many portions when we went to that stages which we had seen in Imtiaz Ali's films. And somehow I know why!

Because, the transition is important in every film of Ali. While, here we are seeing possibly the biggest transition a man can have, like Qais to Majnu. This is where the film goes beyond the expectations, beyond the reach of our mental state, beyond all the boundaries. And it becomes the must see film. But only for those who believe in Imtiaz and his stories, or in poetic explanations, or in purity which love brings.

Laila a.k.a. Tripti is beautiful, adorable and truthful to her lover as well as her father. Though both are newcomers, the story and performance is such that we can feel for them. I found Avinash as Qais like average. But when he returned in the second half as Majnu is mind blowing. Every reviewer has mentioned about him and his performance. Because, he has done his part brilliantly. The complexity of Majnu has been implanted magically. Namaaz scene in that portion speaks a lot. Whole review can be written on that scene only, because it says a lot. Add one more plus point, which I completely forgot was the beautiful Kashmir. There are many scenes, but don't miss the first scene after interval. Magic is awaiting for you in theaters.

Kudos to Sajid Ali. Actually, the first half was not so great. It was just good. The things happening there which eventually lead the film to its most dramatic exploitation, were not to be missed. It looks like that there is nothing, but when the story strikes you, you feel for every bit of the film. If you are going for this one, go with open mindset. Close your eyes before the film, and let the film open your eyes as well as you completely. It will become your most valuable experience.

I don't care about box-office numbers. Even the makers of this film do not care, too. Art can never be perfect, that too in its purest form. This film is a pure art which makes it an imperfect one. If it is perfect, it can't be true love. Feel the madness of true love.

Stree (2018)
8/10
Horror Comedy + Rajkumar Rao + Thought + Entertainment
1 September 2018
The year 2018 is the best year for releasing new genre film in Bollywood. This Friday, three films had released in Gujarat, in which this Horror-Comedy film Stree is the best watch.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, it is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj-Dk. While, Raj & DK are writers of it. Starring Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurrana & Pankaj Tripathi, Stree stands out as a winner.

Stree is based on the Indian urban legend, Nale Ba(don't come here) & Repu Ra (come back tomorrow). In the film, the story is about Chanderi and its ghost called Stree. She comes every year during the Pooja festival to take the revenge of her death and unsatisfied desires. So, these four nights are crucial for the people of Chanderi, as Stree attacks on men and takes them with her. The most common method to keep a Stree at bay, is to write a chant on the walls of the house, saying, "O Stree, Kal Aana", which roughly translates to asking the spirit to come tomorrow, and when she does, she reads the chant again, making it a never-ending process. A house without this chant on its walls, has its men in danger as the spirit will definitely come for them. Who is this stree? What is her purpose? Why is she doing this? And what experiences have been faced by Rajkumar and others are the questions which have been answered in the film.

What can one say about Rao's performance! I mean, in every movie, he is going as strong as he can. And we are facing shortage of words describing him and his craft. Aparshakti and Pankaj Tripathi are as usual best. They will make sure that you will laugh out loud when they act. There is a cameo of Vijay Raaz as well. Shraddha is looking superb in the film. What is she playing, that I'm not gonna answer here!

Dialogues are fabulous. They're like cherry on the cake. Because there are some cuss words which have been mute, but then you can get it too. And which add the reality of characters in scary situation, like at the palace where Stree lives in. There you must have not behaved like a decent person. Kudos to the writers, from bringing a film based on this type of modern folklore. I am already impressed with them from Go Goa Gone itself. This is going to be a sure hit, will be remembered as a good film in their kitty. Though, the bus scene in the end brings out so many questions in my mind, will surely discuss with anyone about it. Or if possible, I would like to ask Raj & DK about it.

Music department is good. Though, the songs are not pushing the story ahead. That's why no songs in second half. Aao Haveli Pe suits perfectly. Kamariya and Dil Ka Darzi are watchable in the film. I have read some reviews saying that songs are minus point. But, hello, there are not a single whole song. 2 min song in between scenes, that too like there are just 3 songs, is fair enough.

This is the first movie of Amar Kaushik. After the so called struggle of 12 years, I'm happy for you that you made this film! Apart from horror and comedy, there are many scenes which tell the thought behind making this, or what to gain from this one. Especially, the last scene or the scene where men are so frightened by Stree that they're roaming in the city wearing saree, or staying at home. The reverse effect- I liked this scene so so much. The world is men dominating, but Stree should not be taken granted. Whatever upgrade versions we get for our gadgets, if our mindsets are not updating, we will become dinosaur soon.

Kudos to the whole team of Stree. Must watch. Scary, funny, thought provoking and the best part - Entertaining!

Good Commercial Movie. Will be a hit.
18 August 2018
John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee starrer Satyamev Jayate is the perfect release for Independence Day week. The title itself says a lot! But, having said that, the story of the film is about fighting against corruption, and that too in a commercial way, so a good choice for audience to look upon. Directed by Milap Zaveri, it is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Nikhil Advani.

Film starts with John killing corrupt police officers. Manoj has given the job to find out the killer. Though, public is in full support for the killer as he is just cleaning the garbage from the system. How far the mission will go and what's the motto behind that- are the questions which will be answered in the run time.

Dialogues are the major plus factor of this film. The lines in the conversation between John and Manoj are fantastic. Screenplay and story by Milap Zaveri give you a good amount of entertainment. There are lot's of twists and turns throughout the film. Hence, it is a good commercial movie after a long time.

John has done his job finely. But Parmanu was better for sure. Manoj is good. Newcomer, Aisha Sharma delivers a good performance. Every character has its own identity through his dialogues. And for that, we have to thank Milap for sure.

There are only three songs. Dilbar, Tere Liye and Tajdar-E-Haram are fine and suitable to the script. I must say, Dilbar is a fine remake version of the original. The fight sequence in Tajdar-E-Haram is the best in the entire movie. I heard lods of whistles and shouts during that portion.

On the whole, if you are searching for a commercial cinema which can be worthy to your money as well as gives you a good story then watch Satyameva Jayate. Enjoy the film with whistles and shouts in the hall.

Karwaan (2018)
10/10
Hindi Cinema's Pride in this era
4 August 2018
Some films have the ability to keep the standard which the trailer had set. Some can even increase the bar, too. Karwaan is one such movie which definitely takes place in both these category.

Dulquer Salmaan is debuting in Bollywood, along with Mithila Palkar and the legendary actor Irrfan! Director Akarsh Khurana takes us in the ride which teaches us the meaning of life in a very subtle way. No burden, just chill!

'Main Akela Hi Chala Tha Janib-E-Manzil Magar, Log Saath Aate Gaye Aur Kaarwaan Banta Gaya!' This is a couplet by Majrooh Sultanpuri, which is used here on the jeep, on which DQ and Irrfan start their journey of picking up the right body by exchanging the wrong one. The adventures are there to welcome all of us.

Irrfan is such a charismatic actor. How can a person make audience laugh everytime when he's on the screen! I mean, in a minute, if he comes like 4 times, then every 4 times we laugh a lot. This is his last movie before going to America for cancer treatment. So, guys don't miss the chance.

DQ is a superstar in Malyalam Cinema. He plays his character with maturity. No superstar can play this type of role so subtly. The transition which his character takes is awesome. Though, this character is similar to many people whom I know. The complexity of a father and son relationship is never described so gently like this. Every father and son should watch this character to understand the unsaid things about that relationship.

Mithila Palkar plays a character of a girl who reflects the modern girl of the new era. She is as usual fantastic. Her bond with her mother, or even with her maternal grandmother is rare and rich. There are many things which we can take from the film to enhance our day-to-day life. For that, just a watch is needed.

Music is so fresh that I liked all songs. Chhota Sa Fasana by Arijit Singh is soulful. While, Heartquake by Papon is full-on masti song as per what the story needs at that point. The cinematography by Avinash Arun is too good, that too in the greenery of Ooty and Kochi. Many scenes are there in the movie which can be used as a wallpaper or a cover picture for sure.

Akarsh Khurana is a debutant director. And from the very first movie, he gonna make many fans, including me. Written by Bejoy Nambiar, this film is something one can watch it over and over again whenever one is depressed or stressed out. The film has a charging plug which gives you the voltage you required at that time. The dialogues in the prayer are fabulous. The terms of Mom and Dad are explained finely. Although, there are many unique one liners as well. Like my most favorite one is by Irrfan, saying 'Tere Liye To Main Sabzi Bhi Khaa Loon!'

Conversation with foreigners, Shayari sequence at hospital, chatting with an old man with Shehnaai, even usage of Shehnaai in the background at a seriously funny scene, the Rumi Talk, and so on.... These are some scenes which truly touched my heart or my lungs through laughing!

I can't find any minus point. I enjoyed it immensely. Ratings, reviews and collection- all are fantastic. Hence, this is one of the best Hindi Films. Will be watched over and over and over, again!

Mulk Review
3 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This film is a court-room drama where a Muslim family has been accused of supporting terrorism when one of the member of that family got shot down by ATS for doing bomb blast in Banaras. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, this film is having over the top casting such as Rishi Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Manoj Pahwa, Rajat Kapoor & Ashutosh Rana.

After witnessing the day-to-day drama in real life, this story came out from Anubhav. A boy (Pratiek) is indulging in a criminal activity. Because of that, how his family suffers in their own homeland, is described in the film very subtly.

The film reaches in the top gear when court room scenes start. The prosecutor lawyer (Ashutosh Rana) and defense lawyer (Taapsee) lead the film there after to a very satisfying answer and judgement.

People who believe in humanity will surely like the film. For those who need to witness best court room drama, this is the best choice. For those who want to see great performances, just believe me that after watching it you'll feel like giving all the awards to Taapsee Pannu as well as Ashutosh Rana. These two have given their more than 100%.

Somehow I feel the softness is missing. The factor which can make us believe that this is a real family, not a reel one, is missing, too. But when you see last hearing of the case, you will forget everything.. It is possibly the best climax of any court room drama movie.

On the whole, for over the top performances and a sincere attempt by Anubhav, it is surely a must watch film. Just open up your mindset, and be there with every Indian, without considering its caste.

Ishq Di Baajiyaan te Life Di Pareshaaniyaan: Dono vich Diljit rocks!
14 July 2018
#Soorma : Another biopic of this year is released this Friday. Based on the life of Former Captain of Indian Men's Hockey Team, Sandeep Singh, who is also known as Flicker Singh, this biographical movie is directed by Shaad Ali.

Film covers events of Sandeep's life that made him the star he is Today. After an accidental gunshot injured him in 2006, he was paralyzed. But once a warrior, always a warrior. So, he bounced back with a bang. And that's why this film is called Soorma, meaning warrior.

Diljit Dosanjh plays the titular role of Sandeep Singh Soorma. Taapasee Pannu is there as his love interest whose influence made him to join hockey in early days. The chemistry between these two is superb. I loved the love song featuring these two. It is indeed this year's best love song!

Diljit Paaji is as usual fantastic. Some character needs simplicity as well as complexity, and Diljit has given perfectly as per the requirement. Taapasee looks adorable and acts fine in her role. Satish Kaushik and his on screen brother are good to see. Kulbhushan Kharbanda is good. Special mention for Vijay Raaz. Whenever he comes on screen, public will laugh and enjoy! He is the true entertainer. Good job by him as Sandeep's coach.

Music by Shankar Ehsan Loy trio and lyrics by Gulzar sahab are again on the right track. After the soulful songs in Raazi, here they are giving us some hardcore Punjabi songs. Ishq Di Baajiyaa is one of the most pure and realistic songs one can ever make. Soorma Anthem is good, too. Pardesiya is very soulful. Singers of this song are contestants of Rising Stars where Diljit and Shankar appear as judges.

I was expecting a lot form Shaad Ali. Thus, I am disappointed with him. Ok Jaanu was a superb movie, but it's not up to that mark. Film lacks in some parts. It is slow paced, so the fault is in the screenplay. However, it can not be in the best biopics ever made. Though, it surely is an one time watch film to know the story of Sandeep Singh.

Film will manage to recover its cost of making. It is not a bad movie, just not a solid one. So, whoever will watch it, will give a thumps up for sure. You will surely love the equation between Diljit and Pannu. Get inspire from the legend!

Sanju (2018)

Hirani che to Paisa Wasool che! +Bonus= Ranbir
1 July 2018
While I am writing this, it is happening that- with the highest opening collection of this year, Sanju is on the way of becoming another blockbuster by Rajkumar Hirani. Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt has done absolutely fantastic job. Thus, this is becoming the highest grosser of his career (till now).

Film should only be taken as a film. This is not an attempt of Hirani to change public and their mindsets toward Sanju and his film career, jail sentence and personal life. It is just a Bollywood flick. And audience is getting it. After 34cr on day one, 38cr on day two, Today it will enter into 100cr club. And believe me, it is worth a watch.

Sanjay Dutt has very limited period of time with his mother. Though the relation between them is shown superbly. Two strongest bonds which we see in the film are father-son and Sanju-Kamli (His friend). It's amazing to see how one can survive in hard situations because of his father and a friend. Film is giving a good message of not to loose good people in life. Also, change your company if it changes you into something which is harmful to you or your family. I will write on and on but leaving it and hoping that you will find more inspirations from Sanju's life story.

Ranbir Kapoor is as usual fantastic. What amazed me this time is, when he entered on screen with a muscular body in the gym. Manisha Koirala is superb in her role as Nargis. Anushka Sharma and Diya Mirza are there as a biographer and Manyata Dutt respectively. They both are fine in their spaces. Jim Sarbh has very small role and he has done accordingly. (No! He's not there as Sallu.) Karishma Tanna as Pinky is okay. Sonam is good here. Boman & Mahesh Manjrekar are entertaining in their special appearances.

Apart from Ranbir, we all are expecting something great from both Paresh Rawal as well as Vicky Kaushal. Paresh as Sunil Dutt has done incredible job. In his interviews, Paresh had said that he was worried about bringing the equal integrity and positiveness which Dutt Saáb had. I think he has done it rightly! In the film, Sanju says that these two are his Gods, and only because of these two, he's alive! I think each person deserves one friend like Kamlesh or a father like Sunil or if possible then both! Vicky is superb! Super entertaining as well as full of emotions. These three (Ranbir, Paresh and Vicky) make the film completely worth a watch. In fact i heard many saying they will go for second time as well.

I have no doubt in music department. Some are saying it has not good songs. But actually, there is just a single complete song which is Kar Har Maidaan Fateh. Which I think suits in the film as well as without the context of the film. Sukhvinder Singh's voice roars in the hall like a Tiger's. Scenes of rehab center have been shot well. Ravi's cinematography is cool. And brilliant in the scenes of Drugs, Bathroom, America, etc. The drug song called Ruby Ruby takes you to another level but for some seconds only. Written by Irshad Kamil and composed by Rahman, it is worth listening to in the earplugs. Main Badhiya is not a song, just an antra is there in the film. Another one featuring Karishma Tanna has also only an antra that too without music. So there is just a single song and it is worthy enough.

My favourite scenes are: Explanations of three good lyricists of Indian Cinema which were like Ustadji to Sunil Dutt; 'Tere jaisa yaar kahan' sequence; Last moment with Nargisji; Untold speech; 'Jaadu ki Jhappi' from Munnabhai MMBS.

Film will collect more than 300cr. People are loving the film. Hirani is a true filmmaker who makes film for everyone. Don't go to judge Sanjay Dutt. Learn to accept what he is. Bacause I am sure, you don't like it when someone judges you! Treat others equally as you treat yourself. This film is not making him hero or something, this is just an unusual story of a man called Sanjay Dutt, happens to be an actor, a public figure.

'Ghee che to Ghapaghap che' and 'Hirani che to Paisa Wasool che!' This emotional journey is not to be missed. Got tears in many scenes. My regards to Sanjay (from a boy who is not his fan) Love you Sanju! <3

Lust Stories (2018)
8/10
Different executions from different directors!
16 June 2018
On the occasion of 100 years of Indian Cinema, four Bollywood directors came up with four short stories and combined them as a feature film- Bombay Talkies. It was a fresh move. So, they are coming together once again for another anthology, called Lust Stories.

As the name suggests, this film talks about lust in human beings. Basically, it is a women centric anthology. Because each story has a female protagonist. The stories are in the reverse order of what we'd seen in Bombay Talkies. That means, the order is Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee & Karan Johar.

Last time, most significant story was by Anurag according to the title. This time too, he has come up with pitch perfect story according to the given subject, that is lust. Radhika Apte plays a complicated housewife cum professor cum lover. Akash Thosar plays his character fine. It is Radhika's brilliant performance which will leave you awestruck after it gets over.

Zoya's story is unexpected. Because, I had a story written by me last year, and this is exactly the same. Though, I had written longer than it. I am not saying that it is a fraud. But, having same thoughts are common. I am extremely surprised to see this type of story to be made as a film. Hat's off for that. Not much dialogues is the major plus point. Bhoomi's eyes speak all.

Dibakar Banerjee is a mastermind. His story is so simple that one can easily feels that I had seen this type of stories. But the execution is the best. Among four, best director is undoubtedly Dibakar. Manisha Koirala, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sanjay Kapoor have given their best. While watching, you cn not leave that frame and think about the next scene. It is simply a brilliant craft. That last look of Manisha is awesome!

And the last story by Karan Johar is on sexual satisfaction. Kaira Advani and Vicky Kaushal along with Neha Dhupia are there in the most odd (as it's the only comedy sort film among four) film of this Lust Stories. You will laugh out loud when a filmmaker is trying his own old song on a very opposite action. I am damn sure that that part is an idiotic as well as a typical filmy scene that only Karan can do. I am not sure it is suitable here in this anthology or not, but it speaks about an actual problem which a lady suffers. Those who want only entertainment, can directly watch this one. Other intellectuals will find 1st or 3rd as 'The Best'.

Overall, save your money by avoiding stupid Race3. Reviews are out. Everyone is unhappy with it. Instead, wait for Sanju. And if you have Netflix, then make up this weekend with this anthology- Lust Stories. Other links are there as well for download. This will save your money and time, because you can watch it anywhere & anytime! The subject itself is bold, that there are no bold scenes required. So don't watch it for that purpose. It is for selected audience, but you can give it a try. This will give out a great message that lust is a different word than sex. So viewers, sometimes do try different things.

Hero Paida nahi hota, banta hai.- Super Cool film!
2 June 2018
Director Vikramaditya Motwane is back after a well attempted film Trapped which was released last year. The Harshvardhan Kapoor starrer film is under the production house of Phantom. Written and directed by Motwane, this is an action+drama of an Indian Superhero, called Bhavesh Joshi, who fights against wrong.

It is a tale of two friends, who are inspired from a party to getting justice. And ended up making 'Insaaf Duo'. They make videos of people doing wrong things, & then upload them on social media. One of them gets settled with his job. The other one is still doing to save his country and countrymen. One day a case has been come to him about water crisis. How he will solve it, or what this case is bringing to him and his partner, is the story of this film.

Phantom production always brings to us something fresh. This is not a marvel or DC film, where we can see some superhero flying. Here we see a common man fighting for all common men. Water crisis is the biggest crime one can ever do. I mean, here there is no problem of that. But I'm sure this film is surely based on some facts. To understand what this type of crisis is, and how normal people are affected to this, you have to see this film. I am thankful to the makers, for showing this crime on celluloid.

Harshvardhan Kapoor is superb. This film is his true debut film. He is the perfect choice of Sikku in this film. Priyanshu and Ashish give solid support. Shreiyah Sabharwal looks stunning. Nishikant and other badmen deliver good performances.

What I like the most, is background score. Though, there are not any song in the film. Except two in the background. Chavanprash sounds cool to me. Qasam Kha Li is suitable in the flow. But, hat's off for the subtle background score in the entire film. No high, no low, to the mark!

Overall, this film is surely an one time watch. Chase sequences are damn cool. The entire climax portion is superb, too. People, who are watching this film over Veere, are generally boys. They will surely remember Harsh's avtaar for a longer time. 'Hero paida nahi hota, banta hai.' Thumps up for the real life superhero. Go for it.
