After seeing the trailer for this movie, I came in with low expectations. But my delight, the overall movie seems to be pretty okay. The storyline kept me engaged, and the acting was pretty solid. Still, I definitely could've gone without the first part about the Francis of Assisi. I actually fast forwarded through that part because it was kinda weird and boring.

Skip to the modern day New York City and the story of the rich, African-American son who, although rich, still feels unfilled and empty. The playout of his struggle between an inner, spiritual calling and riches was very compelling. Overall, I really liked the movie, but they could have left out the first part about the saint.

The acting in this movie was absolutely atrocious! I felt like I was trying to swallow a whole box of sand. I managed to get through the horrible acting and really hold onto the core storyline, which was very moving. I think this movie would have had a better chance if it had better writers, and definitely better acting. But the bond between two brothers really is very touching even though the writers did a really HORRIBLE job of portraying such.

One actress that never fails to come through as a top performer is Karen Abercrombie. Even though some of her movies are questionable, her acting is always top tier, and that actually help save the horrible acting that she was cast with in this movie.

I heard about this movie many years ago, but since I'm not into romantic movies, I've never had any desire to watch it. But on one boring Saturday afternoon, I decided to see what it was all about. Even though they exaggerated how true Christians actually behave, I did find it a very interesting and sometimes funny movie.

Whether you are "religious" or not, it greatly matters that you must be true to yourself and not pretend to be someone that you're not.

From my own personal experience as a Believer,I know sometimes you have to hit rock bottom and get to a low place to actually realize what was really missing or needed to change in your life.

I'm a devout Believer, but this movie was too Cheesy Even for me. I cut it off after she stated that she would swear on a stack of Bibles. Huh?? Not everything that has a Christian-themed title is Bible-based or godly. Satan comes as an angel of light, so be aware.

I rarely write reviews, but just had to for this side-splitting, funny movie. I had never heard of it before, but decided to watch it on a lazy, rainy Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised on how funny it was, and how the two main characters meshed well with each other. I was feeling sad when I started watching this, but at least it made me laugh. It's rare to find a Hollywood movie without sex, profanity and violence.

Bad plot. Bad acting. Just bad! These relgiousity, legalistic movie was anything BUT a movie based on real Christian beliefs.

There definitely were some sexual and violent scenes that I thought should warrant a Rated R. But the movie itself was decent and a little funny.

The CGI was decent, but the acting was horrible. And the plot was all over the place.
