Grease (1978)
My review
I liked the movie and the songs a lot when I was a little girl but as I got older I didn't like the fact that it sends very bad messages to the youth about getting involved with bad people. Also, the demoralization of the principal character, Sandy is noticeable and her lover ( Danny) makes her change her into a bad woman with no values nor morals in order to have fun and be popular. Her friends celebrate at the end of the movie her sexy image and the fact that she became like one of them..a bad woman. There are too many sexual scenes and vulgar phrases in the movie. Her boyfriend is brainless, has an IQ of an amoeba..totally 0 and his friends are brainless too implying the harmful influence he and his T friends had on her and other people 🙄. No respect is given to women, the T birds glorify sex, excessive partyings and corruption in their lives, there is no focus given to the importance of being polite, having good values and getting a good education. The characters in the movie didn't learn good manners, didn't get well educated and were never in a good environment. Makes you think of the purpose sending kids to public schools and the effects bad friends can have on young people. I have always been someone with lots of morals and values and realized I didn't need to wear provocative clothes and become a sex ,alcohol addict to make friends and have fun in school. I never changed, Sandy and Rizzo did all the wrong things and changed. I didn't change, I was in a dance team,I went to restaurants and hang out with my friends after school even a prom and I never changed. I kept my values, didn't hang out with bad kids who drank and smoked, studied and graduated from school. Be true to yourself, keep your morals and values and get a good education and don't hang out with the wrong crowds and watch good movies.😉
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (2012)
Mu opinion of the movie
There were some funny scenes in the movie. There were however I really didn't like, such as the one when Greg was filmed in the bathroom,I thought that was atrocious and showed no creativity at all nor humor. How can a scene of a kid in the bathroom be funny? The kid you can tell was extremely uncomfortable, totally unacceptable. Very Bad scene. If I would have been him I know I wouldn't have done the scene. I would have quit or told them to change the script if they want me to be in the film or simply not show up at all in that scene !! I also didn't like the scene where the boy lost his pants in the pool,he had to wear a girl's swim wear. That is not funny, humiliates the character and honestly makes him look like bad. When he was in the diving board he slipped and fell badly in the pool,a fall like that can injure you and hurts a lot unless you dive correctly. I know because I use to go regularly in the 80's to a public pool and was taught how to swim and dive to a pool. The character also lied many times, never listened to his parents and let his brother always push him around plus never made an effort to get good grades. His parents don't do anything about his failing grades, the bullying he gets. His dad says he wants to bond with him but never puts discipline on Greg and his brother. His mother doesn't put discipline either, even lets Roderick wear eyeliner to play music, mainly never supervises her kids and lets them do whatever they want. The only good thing about her is that she likes to go to church. The kids in the movie don't focus on been good and on Christian values nor on strength of character. Finally,Greg never was able to overcome his problems and the entire film show no sensitivity toward the bullying issue. I give it a D-, my husband didn't like it either and my sister wouldn't like it. Gordon needs to choose better projects that focus on family and moral values not just do any movie or TV show out there.
