The Grey Matter (2014)
After a mysterious injury, an office stiff finds himself stumbling through an absurd, increasing unorthodox, and potentially fatal attraction.
Another amazing film by the McCoubrey brothers! With Luke's keen eye for cinematography and Peter's directorial talent, "The Grey Matter" tells a very unique story that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.
The opening scene makes the audience wonder what the story is about, and it isn't until later in the end that the plot is finally revealed. There are also some nice touches of humor to lighten the darker tones of the film. The puns are a little cheesy but definitely add to the story.
In addition to the comedic aspects, "The Grey Matter" has an effective combination of static and stationary shots. Hand-held (shoulder-mounted) shots are very effective in drawing the audience into the film.
Overall, very engaging film by the McCoubrey brothers and always kept me wondering what was going to happen next.
