Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)
Escape into a magical realm
I loved this movie. I was transported into a world of fantastic creatures, CG sets, sound track, and of course brilliant acting script and overall production.
The Professor and the Madman (2019)
Extraordinary story and cast!
The movie has all elements working together seamlessly: story, script, direction, camera, wardrobe, music score, location - and most of all - an incredible cast lead by Mel Gibson (the professor) and Sean Penn (the madman). The amazing cast pull you right into the story - allowing you to "eavesdrop" on conversations and events. Highly recommended. Based on true events.
Ballon (2018)
Gripping true story!
How two families engineer their escape from Communist East Germany to the West is excellent on all fronts: a gripping story line, a great director and actors, and the supporting soundtrack. The suspense builds and continues throughout the movie. Plenty of twists and turns to keep the audience engaged.
Pavarotti (2019)
Tribute to an amazing man, an amazing talent, an amazing career and life
An inspirational, uplifting glimpse into the life of mega star opera singer, Luciano Pavarotti. Beautifully assembled from an extraordinary list of archival footage. Allow yourself to be transported into the realm of genius, charisma, passion, and goodness.
Judy (2019)
Renee Zellweger is briiliant - but the story of Judy Garland is dreadful
Renee Zellweger is brilliant - worth a 9 rating. Sadly the story only focuses on a dysfunctional and self destructive Judy Garland.
Ride Like a Girl (2019)
Very well crafted and enjoyable
Rachel Griffith has done an amazing job on her debut as a director. The movie tells the true story of Michelle Payne and her racing dream - and highlights her very special relationship with Prince of Penzance. Definitely worth seeing.
Downton Abbey (2019)
