Dark (2017)
Good but hard to follow
Prepare yourself with a Wikipedia opened at all times in another tab because this show is too twisted and f'ed up. I like stranger things, dark and shows like this but they gone too far in season 2 and now 3. I don't know who is who any more and I lost all my interest unfortunately. I really liked where this was going to in s01. What they also failed to trigger is some sort of empathy or connection with ANY of the characters. I don't care a dime for any of them since I'm constantly trying too hard to follow through. I don't even know the name of ANY of them either. This is in true German fashion; overly technical and obsessed with small details that they forget the bigger picture. What makes them good at cars and electronics might work against them in this matter. I still think, and HOPE, that they can steer this on a better path. I like mental challenges but, sometimes, a perfect car needs a guy named Mario to craft its leather interior.
Following 3 points in time with all those characters is hard. I get it going by the 2nd or the third episode but, with the long waiting time between seasons, it becomes really exhausting - to the point where I stopped watching season 3 at the second episode. I'm sure I will give it a go at a later time but this, once wonderful, show has gone below that "meh" threshold where I look into when I'm out of things to watch. Compare that with stranger things or dark s01, s02 where I binge-watched everything.
I gave it an 8 because it's still a good movie, it has a lot of potential with the story, it has good cinematography and a good cast. Seems like the perfect combo but, unfortunately, all that I just mentioned is not well put together. The ingredients are top notch but the soup lacks something.
The Witcher (2019)
Xena & Hercule all over again
Bad acting, "batman voice", filled with "epic" music without epic action. If you liked Xena and Hercules this is for you.
Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru (2016)
A bully trying to play the psychiatrist
It's a promotional movie, nothing objective in it, no questions are being asked, nobody sets back to analyze anything.
He's picking people from the crowd and bullies them into doing what he says or face shame from the other in the room that drank too much Kool-Aid.
I'm surprised of the rating of this movie here.
