Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
Almost got scammed
Almost didn't see this movie due to the reviews.
Best marvel movie, even better than No way home.
Best character development in a marvel movie.
Best villain ever. Better than Thanos. More menacing and raises stakes.
Most serious marvel movie. More serious than endgame.
Best marvel character. Shuri is amazing. I didn't like her before but she's now my favourite character.
Best action in a marvel movie. Not a cgi headache, actual good fight scenes with real stakes and depth.
Best soundtrack ever. The theme when black panther shows up made me cry. So so so good.
It really saddens me to see negative ratings, Every movie besides no way home and avengers has been mediocre and we finally have a stunningly perfect movie but no one can see it. Can't wait for future audiences to realize this was a severely underrated movie.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
My experience was ruined by the trailers
So... This is a good film. A great film. It has a crazy amount of action and the action is incredible. The CGI is kicked up to such heights that it sometimes surpasses Endgame. If you go expecting Dr. Strange and his cool powers, you get Dr. Strange and his cool powers.
If you... suddenly expect certain characters to show up because of the trailers then you'll be disappointed. I'd say the trailers revealed 90% of the surprises. At least to me.
That's not to say the film's surprises aren't spectacular. There's one particular character that shows up that made my jaw drop because of what I've seen in the what if series if you've watched that.
The thing is the villain in this movie was incredible. I've never seen a marvel movie make a villain this scary before. Even green goblin doesn't match. But the whole time I was expecting some new crazy twist that would make me get up from the chair and cheer and it didn't happen. I was expecting something I hadn't seen from the trailers and it distracted me from appreciating the movie's finer details and gifts.
There were some emotional moments that failed to affect me because I was too busy waiting for the whole universe to be ripped open and a thousand alternate universe avengers to descend and save the day and give me the bliss and joy I had been expecting. It didn't happen.
This is a Dr. Strange movie and that's that. But looking back I realised it was a top tier movie by itself. There were some genuinely tense moments followed by real consequences, and real impact. It gave me that old school comic book vibe of anything can happen. I was thrilled.
The action was so colorful so beautiful. Ever shot could have been a wallpaper. There are so many strange crazy things that happen in this film that make you feel like you're on a roller coaster but like I said if you're expecting this movie to be basically an avengers movie you won't get that.
The film was a 7/10 because of my disappointment. If I hadn't watched the trailers it would have been a 9/10.
Also Wanda is in this. A lot. So might wanna watch wandavision before this.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
For those who agree with me.
Use my post to express your thoughts.
1. Filmmaking perfection. The pacing of the movie is incredibly tight and top notch. A roller coster from the very start to finish. Immersive directing choices like the perspective of MJ as spiderman is swinging with her and how scary it feels. Things like making green goblin very scary. I didn't expect that. I was more tense than I was during winter soldier.
2. Tom Holland is the best spiderman. Yup, a crazy take. I was a die hard Tobey fan, I laughed at people who didn't think he was the best spiderman. That would've been true before this movie. After watching this, I have been converted. The last two films failed to showcase Tom's skills in being Peter Parker. I got those Civil War hype vibes from this no way home Peter Parker. You guys remember? Remember how everyone was blown away by how good Tom Holland was? Well here, you can see it. Tobey doesn't have the humor. The kid like nature. He seems so adult. Andrew is too much like a kid, too teenagey and broody, not heroic and 'friendly neighborhood' enough. Tom Holland is like a nice mix of the two. I was confused after walking out of the cinema. Was Tom Holland just as good as Tobey? By the time I got home I realized the undeniable truth. No, Tom Holland is the best.
3. Good use of fan service. This movie is still a 9/10 even without the use of fan service. SO THAT SAYS A LOT. Very good film on its own. With the fan service, it elevates this movie to be the best Marvel movie ever. The extra characters are used for the story, they're not just there to be cool and gather applause.
4. This movie is story driven not action driven. A first for marvel.
5. Hilarious. The comedic moments are extremely funny. The trailers tricked me into thinking it was going to be awkward humor. I remember laughing out loud audibly. I have never done that in a cinema. I mean, I laugh, but I hold it in usually. But this time, I couldn't.
6. Action scenes are so so good. It was Infinity war level good. The trailers tricked me again. I thought the action was going to be mediocre just like in Far From Home. Nope.
7. Zendaya and Ned are finally good characters. From the first two movies, they've been pretty much DLC NPC characters that I never really cared about. Now I see that without them, Peter Parker is nothing. I mean I knew that, I'm just saying this time I FELT that.
That's all I can say without spoiling anything. I love this movie so much. It is so unexpected. I never give 10/10 to movies. Not even Interstellar. It's hard for me to express what I feel without writing an essay. I'll say this, I'm going to extremely upset if the final IMDB rating for this movie is less than 8.6. I don't think it deserves any less than that. Please please let it at least be higher than Endgame.
Titans (2018)
I will convince you to watch this show
It's better than Flash season 1. It's better than Arrow season 1.
Not as good as GOT or any masterpiece show. Much much better than Gotham.
It's NOT better than Daredevil season 1. But it's better than Daredevil season 2.
1st episode is average. After that it's like a different show.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Ohhhh boy
Ohh boy. All the reviews are correct. Amazing movie. Only problem is someone wasn't really thinking in the writing room that well. Why didn't Thor, Cap Marvel, or Hulk just use the gauntlet? Did it HAVE to be Ironman?
Good god. I was thinking why the heck is Tony dying. It wasn't necessary at all.
But that "I am Ironman"... I... Oh my god.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Was a 10/10 show at first
I enjoyed season 8 episodes 1-5. Yes even 5, I saw it as fanfiction and was able to enjoy it as a "what if?" scenario. Basically tricking my brain. I went to watch episode 6 but it doesn't even work as fanfiction or amateur writing.
This is going to sound unbelievable but the finale seemed like it was a parody episode. it had the same beat, the same scenic timing, and implausibility of a parody movie but then someone tried to take all the humour out and just keep the plot or story structure if that makes sense? And also add in amazing special effects and acting to wow the audience.
But it becomes this bizarre show where all this epic music/vfx/acting comes in but your brain is just confused because the story doesn't match the quality of these other aspects.

Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
ok, not great
About as enjoyable Antman.
Way better than Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel (2019)
I actually liked it in the very start and then....
It was very promising. Carol was this tough but playful but slightly naughty girl in the beginning. When I say naughty I mean she just goes around insulting everyone and acting smug, but it was endearing in a weird way.
I was smiling ear to ear. Loving the effects. Thinking I was gonna be goosebumped like Infinity war.
It didn't "turn" bad at any point. In fact everything, EVERYTHING, about Captain Marvel is great. EXCEPT Captain Marvel. Her character is really really boring lol.
Backstory? You know what they showed in the trailers? Yeah that's it.
Does she like anything? Enjoy things? Listen to music? Hell, does she like to fight? What kind of struggles did she go through as a kid? They show none of these.
There's some flashback scenes where she's a little girl and she gets injured. These scenes are so short and mundane.
Most of the movie is about the Skrull. I think I gave a **** about them more than Captain Marvel.
Actually, you know what. Maybe I can just ignore that and just enjoy the action right? Well... There is one scene where it's epic and you think wow! And that's about 3 minutes I think. The rest of the movie is so bland.
The music is also bland. It just doesn't give those goosebumps that you expect from Marvel.
So disappointing. I wanted this movie to be amazing.
Jurassic World fallen kingdom has a 6.2 on IMDB. I absolutely enjoyed that. Great music, great moments.
But this? :(
Hopefully she's more likeable in Endgame!
Titans: Doom Patrol (2018)
It's been a while since I've loved a show
Titans is quickly bringing me joy and happiness the same way arrow and flash used to do way back when.
Now I barf when I think back to those times. I can't believe I found those shows entertaining.
Titans has flaws. But it has a certain flavour to it. It's like eating a good burger compared to eating sushi. One is harder to make, but one is the one you think about when you're hungry.
Does that make sense? Titans is the burger to my hunger pangs.
2012 (2009)
The Best Comedy
I couldn't help but laugh at every scene. Pure nostalgia. I remember watching this when I was 11 years old and being so scared.
Eighth Grade (2018)
It's strange to see how many teens are rating this movie.
I can tell that the audience comprises of a lot of teens when they use words as 'cringe' to describe scenes. Obviously, for a movie like this, a lot of teens would watch it.
If you're an adult, watch this movie immediately. It is handled perfectly well, and doesn't become nonsensical in any scenes as a lot of coming of age stories will have.
It's quite realistic. There are no 'miracles' that occur, no punch the bully in the face scenes, no wild car drive with the kids screaming into the abyss (as if that's what every kid experiences). No. Most kids go through a normal life that is mundane. This movie is exactly that. It is mundane. Nothing surprising. But what's entertaining to watch is the emotions involved with the girl. It's very familiar. By the end of it, you'll be rolling around in bed thinking of all the things you went through in middle school, and being utterly relieved it's over.
This is a classic that I'll show to my 13 year old child 20 years from now.
Mindhunter (2017)
Gave me more joy than did Breaking Bad and Dexter combined
Such a deep and thought provoking show. That's what's not being said enough. This show is very thought provoking. It makes you really think and care about what's in the mind of a killer. In the world of mental illness that we live today, it's pretty damn relevant. Just ask yourself, could you have become a serial killer if things were different in your life?
The direction is delicious. David Fincher just knows how to set up tension and atmosphere. Think Daredevil and Westworld. Both suspenseful and atmospheric shows.
Characters are veeery detailed and good. Some of the best characterisations yet.
People kept saying this is a slow show. It's not about the guns and the booty and whatnot. Think back to what made Breaking Bad so great. It was the intricacy of it all. The fascination with how crime works and the psychology of the characters.
It ain't about the crime. It's about the story.
And the story, is, well, pretty effing good.
Supergirl (2015)
You Are Not Alone (The Fans)
Some people think it's good. Some hate it. Some don't have much of an opinion.
But I'm a huge fan. In fact, this is my favourite show of all time.
How can a show like this top up shows like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Daredevil and the likes? How can it even top up the new and amazingly directed show "The Night of" by HBO? These nitty gritty shows with lots of dark themes and holy sht that's dark and I really like it moments?
It's simple. Because - my fellow people who also love this show but seem outspoken - this show is the complete opposite. In the words of a critic on Rotten tomatoes:
"I need a show in my life that's about hope. Supergirl provides just enough sugar in an otherwise bleak diet. People used to dark and grim, need not bother, it's not for you. The rest of us will enjoy it for the pure, blissful fun that it is."
And I would've put that as my review if not for the IMDb line requirements.
Just being straight and honest, I love Supergirl because it's the only show that really puts hope in my heart for a better tomorrow. It always puts a smile on my face and teaches me lessons to make me a better person. Life is too full of the cynical and while some cynicism keeps us grounded, I think we need much much more light in our TV viewings.
Supergirl is what i think of when I have a bad day or when I just need someone to tell me it's all going to be alright. If I have a bad day, looking at GOT and seeing someone have a worse day doesn't make me feel better. It just makes me feel even more depressed. I think the critics can see that. This show got a 96% on Rotten for a reason. Not even some of the greatest shows get that on their first season. Believe me, this show knows what it's doing, and it does it not to perfection, rather, to a great effect.
If you want to really criticise Supergirl. Talk about its non perfect special effects (I mean, it doesn't really have the enormous budget that shows like Daredevil had), or its sometimes infidelity to its source material. Because these things are things that comic book fans don't like and understandably so.
But ask yourself if today's society is just getting so used to being spiteful, hopeless, and cynical about everything and anything (complaining about the world, talking about changing it but then giving up because they say there's nothing that can be done, or otherwise something would've been done etc. etc.).
In the end, I'm a truly big fan of Supergirl. I love it. I love it more than the Flash, Arrow, Daredevil and all other shows I've ever watched including Lost. And if you love it too, but feel outspoken, well...
You are not alone.
Orphan Black (2013)
Finally, a really really good thriller
I was searching, desperate, for a good show to watch. I had finished Game of Thrones, left Breaking Bad because I got so bored of it and then I gave up on Arrow. I did not know I was a thriller freak until I watched this show.
How much your palms sweat. How much your heart races.
This show is amazing and I loved every second. Tatiana Maslany is an actress where you can learn a lot from as an actor or an actor in training. You see the way she moves, her gestures, her tone. Everything is majestic. Jordan Gavaris is fantastic as well.
The writing is solid. The plot is solid. There's a reason this got almost a 100 percent on rotten tomatoes. I'm skeptical of rotten, their reviews lack appreciation of acting or film making. But they're right about this show. It is the best television show I have ever seen. Maybe not the one that will make you cry the most or change your life (it did for many however), but as a TV show it is incredibly solid. Everything is perfection.
I could talk about this all day. I could drill this show in your head and make it seem godly and divine. But well, people are different. If you're looking for art. Good art. Fascinating art. If you're the type that views TV shows as art. Then try this. You might like it. Or not. I love it because of the thrills, character complexities and large scale message.
This deserved something more than just 10/10. It deserves an emmy. Technical genius. The best show i have watched ever. And I am really hard to please.
