Criminal Minds: Taboo (2016)
The storyline was trite
I felt the storyline was trite. It seems that the BSU is just jumping into any case anymore, I thought you had to have three to call it a serial. The start they only had one.
The best part was that Emily Prentis is back. I loved her, and was so sad to see her go. She is a strong actress and I think they were easing her back into the storyline as at that time Hotch's fate was still not final.
So far with Emily filling in, she is only taking a supportive role, I look forward to her becoming a strong leader that I know she is capable of being.
The unsub in this storyline was phoning it in. The story was weak, but we got Emily back, so it was a winner anyway.
Criminal Minds: No Way Out (2007)
I agree with most of the reviewers but want to add
What an excellent job Amy Madigan did on this episode as Crazy Jane. She is a talent that is so underused in movies and TV.
Besides that I was totally engaged up until the plot twist at the end. Though on a human level I can see them letting the killer go off into the night. I think most police would trust in their ability to find the kids and would hold him in a cell. Though this twist also demonstrates how manipulative and diabolical this killer has been for the last 30 years.
This has been one of the best episodes since I started binge watching this series. But please other producers, look for a way to work Amy Madigan into your shows, you will be very glad you did.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Yankee White (2003)
Great episode, but something has always bothered me
1. Was mentioned in the goofs. Wichita, Ks is in Sedgwick County, not Wichita County.
2. The President's plane routinely lands in Wichita, but it would not have landed at Mid continent, they would have diverted to McConnell Air Force Base where there would have been military back up.
This episode is a great series starter, and drags you into a show you would want to watch.
Perception: Shadow (2012)
A very moving two parter
I just found this series, and have enjoyed it very much. I much appreciate the positive way they deal with people that are functioning every day with psychiatric issues. Some have mentioned the Senator/Congressman slip ups in their reviews, and that isn't important, irritating maybe (remember they are Canadians making this), the crust of this Two part season end is the inside torment a person with Schizophrenia goes through.
I have to say as much as I have enjoyed, and even laughed a few time during this firs season, these two episodes made me cry. Eric McCormack did such a wonderful job conveying the pain a person in this situation goes through. The loneliness, the separation and longing to be normal.
Another reviewer criticized the shift of power with the doctor and Doctor(patient). I don't see this as an issue with this patient, the two have already been friends for over 25 years. She is just real now.
Charmed (2018)
You can never go home, anymore
When the original went off the air, I was sad, but felt that they had fought every demon there was and it was time to go.
I had great hopes for the reboot, but without Holly Marie-Combs, Alyssa Milano; it's not the same.
Watched it once, watched it twice, found something else.
