The Walking Dead: What We Become (2020)
An acid trip on TWD??! Give it to me!
Well, can't say I expected her exit to be this perfect. Thank you Angela Kang and Danai for wrapping up such a great character this good! Goodbye for now Michonne.
The whole trip scene was everything I needed. This is probably the least TWD episode of TWD, and IN A GOOD WAY!
Bear McCreary outdid himself with that perfect score for the final scene. Also, can't forget to mention the amazing job done by the VFX team, specially that shot of Rick pointing his gun.
Well done, everyone who worked on this episode! You did great.
Ad Astra (2019)
Definitely not a sci-fi. Ad Astra is pure Drama, or at least aspires to be

Stuff I liked:
-The Scenery, Setting and the Cinematography were all stunning. Pretty much what you'd expect from any movie set in outer space these days.
-Brad Pitt was great, although his character felt a little bit two-dimensional to me, I think he did a fine job.
-The Message was overall meaningful. It reminded me to some extent of Tuco's line in The Good, The Bad & The Ugly "If you work for a living, why do you kill yourself working?"
Stuff I disliked:
-The Movie felt flat. It has a message, and It wants to deliever that message through the Father-Son relationship, which in my opinion lacked depth. It felt like they were trying too hard to make the movie a Father-Son relationship movie that they forget it needed to make the audience connect to these characters. I guess the only way for me to enjoy the movie was by accepting the message the way they excuted it, as flat as it was (for me).
-The Score was too generic for my liking and had nothing special about it. I was shocked when I saw in the end-credits that Max Richter was the composer, he usually composes very unique music that I always admire.
I do not mind slow-paced movies at all so I did not find it boring like others pointed out.
6.5/10
The Walking Dead: The Calm Before (2019)
I need a therapist
This is what "Last Day on Earth" & "The Time Will Come When You Wont be" should have been.
Let me take you back to Season 6 Episode 16, one of the lowest rated episodes of the show for known reasons. In my own opinion, that episode was a genius presentation on how to make an audience have a heart-pounding tense experience, the suspenful soundtrack playing in the background, the fear for Maggie's life, the repeated blocking of roads, and finally, the feeling of helplessness that the line-up scene brought to the audience, ending with that unfortunate cliffhanger *that I myself didn't mind much but was still pissed off on how it was excuted*
For me, that episode is on my list of the best TV episodes of all time.
Now moving forward to Season 7 Episode 1, where they counted heavly on flashbacks to bring back that feeling of unease again to the audience, in addition to the fact that everyone had been waiting for 6 months to find out who got killed.
You see, the reason I bring both of these episodes up, is because I believe tonight's episode was the perfect representation of how they should have dealt with Glenn & Abrahams deaths back then. Through out this extended episode, your heart is pounding, you know *wether you read the comics or not* that something is going to happen, the genius excution of making you feel uneasy is back again, but this time, ohh boy, this time they did it 10 times better. I was crushed, I am still crushed, in all honesty I am not even aware if I am making a point with this review or not, I just want to vent, there is this feeling in my chest that I only feel on rare occasions.
They did it so well! Part of me is sad that not a lot of people got to see how TWD is still very much alive, it's still one of the best TV shows out there. This scene is on the same level as Marvel's desentegration scene in my opinion. I hope this episode brings back people to watch the show again.
I don't think I'll be able to do anything today other than depressing over this episode.
The End of the F***ing World (2017)
What does it say that i watched it twice in under 48 hours, without getting bored once
This Review Does Not Contain Any Spoilers.
As the headline reads, i watched TEOTFW twice in under 48 hours without skipping any scene or getting bored, and i am actually thinking of watching it again for the third time soon.
This might be for the reason that i have nothing else to do, or, it might be because this is one of the most addictive TV Shows I've ever seen. And I do believe that the reason for my obsession is the latter.
This show (as another user mentioned) deserves many awards, but probably won't get any. But who cares? I loved this show and the characters so much, and i had to express my feelings by writing my first ever IMDb review to hopefully encourage more people to watch it.
Brilliant writing
Brilliant acting
Brilliant music
Brilliant, just F***ING BRILLIANT!
