I am ashamed to be white
18 November 2023
Imagine one of the worst natural disasters in the history that affected 14 Asian countries and killed 250k people. And I suppose most of them were local residents of those countries. BUT someone in Hollywood said: "Let's make a movie about white rich privileged VACATIONERS." These people are so out of touch with the real world, that they think everyone else existing is there to serve them. Notice how they didn't bother to put even one Asian native person's story in this movie. All those people do is just to make the lives of these white people easier. They are just addendums. Also, I HATE this movie even more now after I learned that they wasted 1 MILLION LITERS OF WATER to make this trash of a film.

Am i missing something here?
9 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was all over the place. I kept looking at how much time it had left because there was no connection between the scenes. There was zero resemblance between the young and adult Ani on emotional level. I had to remind myself from time to time these two were the same person. I don't know why but I had a hard time rooting for anyone. Also, I don't understand why Arthur became an accomplice of Ben. What was his motive? To make them pay for what they did to Ani? But Ani and him weren't even that close. I can't wrap my head around this honestly. Why did they put a scene where adult Ani meets her teacher? It served nothing. So many plot holes. Weak script, bad actors being overdramatic and fake. Do not recommend.

Servant: Jericho (2020)
Season 1, Episode 9

Don't even know where to begin
12 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Not going to lie, I had very high hopes for this show. But my enthusiasm faded away with each and every episode. There are so many unanswered questions and "out-of-logic' moves from the characters. For instance, I thought that Dorothy had done something very horrible and inexcusable to the real Jericho to justify Leanne's bitc*y attitude towards her. But really? Just because she forgot the baby in the car by accident makes Dorothy a devil? Hellooo, hasn't this ignorant weird-as-hell girl heard about "postpartum depression"? And why is everyone acting like she is the one who hired them? Why are they all obeying her? Seanne - reknowned chef, Dorothy - sucessful presenter and Julian who is also obviously rich and reputable in his own circle; are suffering her whims and being her servants instead? She is 18! Honestly, I was waiting more to be revealed this episode but they are feeding us the soup with a fork! From this point on, I don't even think that they will answer all those questions (Leanne's past, her uncle, the cult/religion they are talking about, real Jericho incidence etc) in one 30-min episode and no one has a patience to suffer for a year or two more to be revealed in the second season.
