Blackmark (2018)
Conspiracy - yeah!
What's not to like about a movie about JFK? Everyone knows, just like the Manhattan Towers, that the truth has not been told; and when the truth is hidden fantasy abounds. Now fantasy is usually more fun than the truth, and whatever the truth about the JFK assassination this fantasy is interesting, intelligently constructed, even if at times a tad confusing, but certainly action packed. The characters are sketchy, but it is a short movie, and designed to be leave much to the imagination - filling out the characters would, imho, take from the "whaaat?" factor. The second viewing opened up new possibilities, and the third led to "Ah ha!" moments. Overall a good watch to fill an evening with other conspiracy theorists.
Hart of Dixie: Bluebell (2015)
Bitterwseet finale
With great trepidation I clicked on my recorded, as yet unwatched, series finale of Hart of Dixie. Who would end up with whom? After all they have mostly all switched love interests at least once or twice already. With baby due, obviously Wade and Zoe are together (finally!), but Lavon and Lemon, George and AB, even old Dr Breeland and his arm candy, will any of them make the cut? And will Meatball ever make the big time? And finding a rabbi in the hospital was just priceless. How they got it all to tie together in the end was just amazing - pure Bollywood - the whole cast in one big song and dance number. I am sure I caught a glimpse of some previous characters (Joel, I think) dancing around the gazebo in a frenzy of joy as these love-to-hate (or hate-to love?) characters and their (mostly) very annoying quirks and characteristics disappear in a series finale. Great fun!
