Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2020)
Destined to polarize
It's obvious that this movie wouldn't live up to the original. There's not nearly as much public skits because of how well-known the Borat name is nowadays, and it was those skits that made the original so big in the first place. Knowing that, Cohen tries to make up for it by focusing on a few bigger scenarios involving people in power unknowingly starring in the movie.
I personally had a blast watching the spectacle unfold with the Borat character along with how the story weaves in current events in hilarious ways. The movie also has a much harder political edge than the first movie, which will make it a hard sell for some. It's still more than worth the watch. Sacha Baron Cohen is still great as Borat and Maria Bakalova puts in a solid performance as well!
Guns Akimbo (2019)
The Starbucks of Murder!
Guns Akimbo has the same energy as a movie like Crank, but it feels too predicable at times, and that's the biggest thing it has going against it. There's some pretty funny scenes though and Daniel Radcliffe's performance should be the biggest reason why you should see this movie. It was okay overall, but I wish it did more with its premise. This movie is definitely best enjoyed with a group of friends.
