How to Build a Better Boy (2014)
It's called a Disney Channel "original" movie but it's really not
Ok so Disney has brought us amazing original movies and good retellings old stories, but this is just a huge ripoff of weird science. Let's take a look at the similarities.
Weird Science is about two nerds who don't have any friends decide to make a simulation of a girl to get tips on how to get girls only for the simulation to create an actual living breathing girl. The three then go on some wacky adventures
How to build a better boy is about two nerds who don't have any friends decide to make a simulation of a boy so they won't feel sad only for the simulation to create an actual living breathing boy. The three then go on some wacky adventures
There are only two differences. 1. The characters are gender bent 2. Weird science is actually funny and charming.
I would recommend Weird Science to anyone any day, but this is just a crap remake. I gave it a 2 only because the acting is ok. Not great, but ok. This is Disney at its worst
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Here's what I think of Solo
I thought this movie was great. It had a great cast, a well thought out story, and was just a lot of fun for me as a huge Star Wars fan. When Darth Maul came out at the end, I had a huge dumb smile on my face and was so happy to see my second favorite Star Wars villain (first Being Darth Vader). The ONLY thing in this movie that truly bothered me was Qi'ra. Don't get me wrong she was a good character and was well rounded, but I can't stand how they made her Han's Lover. They could have made her just a childhood friend or even his sister or something. But no they had to have a romance. The thing that truly bothers me about this is that you see them kissing and you forget about Leia. This film actually kind of ruined what Han and Leia had for each other and that sucks because they are one of my favorite fictional couples. In the being Qi'ra was sweet and kind and supported Han and every idea he had, but then three years later, she is snobbish and actually looks down on Han and would treat him like a kid instead of the guy that was trying to SAVE HER.
But besides that the film was great.
Vanishing on 7th Street (2010)
Deserves better than a 4.9
I thought this movie was excellent with good plot and great acting. There were a few things I would change
1. This is a horror but it wasn't scary. Only eerie and it could be the freakiest movie of all time
2. All the characters would make dumb discussions. Maybe they could start then realize what they were doing then stop.
3. You shouldn't have offed Luke, Rosemary, and Paul when they were the key characters in this(although it made the ending a little bit better)
But other than that this film was awesome and more people should no about it
Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994)
Great film but could be louder
I thought this movie was great. Lovable characters, great actors, fun and different personalities and backstories, and a great plot. The only real problem I had with the film was that I couldn't hear a lot of it. I had my TV turned up to 50 and still couldn't make out what they were saying. But all and all it was a great movie.
Rise of the Guardians (2012)
Probably the best 4 dollars I've spent in a while
For a long time I've been debating on whether or not to see the movie. Then I found it on my Apple TV for a cheap price and thought " Why not" and I was blown away by it. One of the best parts was the characters. I've grown up with a few of these characters, and seeing them in a different way, like a Russian Santa or an Australian Easter Bunny, was really great and I got to learn about other characters that I didn't know about( Jack Frost and the Sandman) and to see them interact with each other and being happy and seeing them kick butt and I loved them all. The vocal actors were amazing and brought more joy to the movie ( Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Jude Law to name a few). The animation was beautiful and so detailed. I loved Jacks backstory and his playful personality. I laughed and cried. I would recommend this to anyone and to anyone with kids,if they believe in Santa or not.
