Give these guy's a break, even the less capable actors throw there heart into this production. Plus the 'Bikini' clad babe role goes to Bali Rodriguez, Hubba Hubba. Once again despite her slightly awkward performance, her enthusiasm makes up for that. Hey, let's face it, screen-time with Bali Rodriguez could hardly be wasted. Also her make-up and costume are great for all the right reasons. I could go on and on about Bali Rodriguez of course, who wouldn't enjoy that. There were other actors in it, and kind of like an illusion, if you stare really hard at the screen for 20 minutes, you start to notice them and not her. Then like a Random Dot Stereogram they shift out of focus and you can only see her again. I digress, back to the other stuff... the jungle location is beautiful, the plot engages just enough to keep you interested. There is enough pace to carry the film. The sound and lighting are good throughout. The plot twist at the end 'though pretty obvious' is delivered well without added cheese. Are some of the scenes a little too long, yes... is some of the acting less than 1st class, yes. But for a $1,000,000 I'd be happy if I could produce this. Finally the right people die, and the right people live, but crucially.... the characters are developed enough to care about what happens to them.

Hmm, what else, oh yes, I should have mentioned for all those Bali Rodriguez fans that Bali Rodriguez is in it! Which she is! What's that? I already mentioned it! Oh right? Er... well I guess I am done but for the scores then.

So for the film I'd give 'eight' out of 'ten' (if you like B Movies), and out of 'ten' I'd definitely give Bali Rodriguez 'one'.

If you like action B movies then ignore the nay sayers. This is a fun action flick worth the time if you like low budget action when your bored.

OK the production values are low, but I have seen much lower. The script is bad but I've heard much worse. Video and Sound are fine and some of the effects are fun. The girls kick-ass in the usual B movie way. All in all quite entertaining.

Some people really don't know how to dial done there expectations and enjoy a cheap theatrical type movie. Don't be put off because of their snobbery.

Don't listen to the haters or those that want to chip away at the overall brilliance of 'Room'. What film doesn't have small flaws, they pale into insignificance during the 2 hours of continuous emotional maelstrom that follows. This film wrings every last drop of emotion and drama out of the allotted playtime. Make no mistake, despite short bursts of touching serenity, this films starts up full throttle and doesn't let-up. I can only assume reviewers here scoring this film 8 or less must be Vulcan by birth, or just terminally insensitive. This is a first rate drama with stand out performances all round. Especially from the child protagonist.

**Warning** If you have trouble viewing emotionally charged material of a sensitive nature about abuse. You would be well advised not to view this film.

If your looking for a fast paced war film then this isn't it. The action lacks any urgency and the characters fail to engage. Overall the cinematography is OK but the level of clichés and the flat acting just make this a yawn.

If the film had some historical merit or a good atmosphere then that would have helped.

From Dolph Lundgren's attempt at a dodgy French accent one might even think it is a comedy. But losing one and a half hours of your life to this dross is no laughing matter. I expect better from Luke Goss who has impressed in other productions, it's a shame he has not made more of his career than this.

I thought Chappie was a fun ride. If I want a blistering fast burn tuned to perfection but a porsche, if I want a laugh and a cry I go on the bumper cars. Chappie is a bumper car, not a porsche or a ferrari but why all the hate because of this. I know the 'R' rating limited the appeal as a family movie. Never the less the child in me still enjoyed being tricked into responding emotionally to Chappies awakening conciseness and dilemmas. When other characters are mean to Chappie it is actually emotionally effecting. So something in the film making process is well done or the movie would not have been able to generate this connection.

Sorry 'haters' but I thought that the movie was fun. If you like Sci- Fi, Tolkien etc and your not an intellectual snob whose standards are way too high for everybody else meet then; if you have not lost the ability to experience child like joy and emotional responses, if you still have the ability to identify with innocence under threat, then I think you will enjoy it.

I have to disagree with this statement. If you like good cinema and are at home with subtitles I think you will enjoy this. It has to be one of the best period films I have watched in a long time. Much less impenetrable than the usual crop of Asian cinema. This screenplay is carried of with poise and quiet confidence. I felt like I was watching a masterclass in cinematography while I was watching it. It happily fills it's allotted two hour time span without dragging at all.
