Everything in this movie sucks
29 March 2021
In every little aspect that you can imagine, this movie sucks. Acting, directing, photography, fx, editing, it's like they just grabbed a handful of people in the streets and made them crew and actors. It's horrible. 0/10 must avoid!

Back in the days...

Best comedy serie brasil ever produced. Back when politically correct wasn't a thing. And everybody laughed.

The show owns it to Miguel Falabela. I ALWAYS laugh. And every does it too. Even on stage.

When I was young, living in rio de janeiro, i dreamed of watching it live.

It's just not a 10/10 because of the "caquinho", the children of Caco (Miguel Falabela) and Magda (Marisa Orth). He simply didn't fit. Show didn't need him at all. But besides it, it's a 10/10. Tied with "comedia da vida privada".

Awful
4 August 2020
I see people here saying that "it's a great B-Movie", yeah ok, go watch "it follows" and then we talk about good low-budget B-Movies. This movie hurts. It's so bad it simply hurts. I won't get into details because I want to keep it spoiler-free, but it simply makes no sense at all. Acting is awful, directing is awful, script I believe it simply doesn't exist. I wish I hasn't watched it.

Everything in this movie is excellent. It's gory, with solid deliver from actors, Excellent directing, photography. If you haven't seen it yet, and is a horror fan, I strongly recommend you watch it. I probably watched it about 8 times. And Everytime it's on I watch again.

It's a movie about time travel AND about mental illnesses
23 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
First of all im gonna start by saying what a solid delivery by Alison Brie. What an amazing job she did. Perfect fit for the part. That being said, I see lots of people saying this is a drama movie about mental illness, and some people, specially the minority that got the "Sarah walking the horse looking inside the window seeing Sarah talking to Joan" amazing scene (which I only noticed because of the car, and somehow when it first played I thought that that was a very strange scene and got my attention), which reminded me of Dark, saying that this is a sci-fi movie about time travel, aliens, abductions. I saw both movies on this one. For me, the feeling I got from the empathic way the issue is addressed, that Alison Brie and Jeff Baena did try to make a point where maybe people who suffers from schizophrenia trully does life that things they say they do, maybe they do travel in time and everything. Or maybe it's just because their reality is true for them. Not saying i so believe that, but the scene with the horse made it clear that she indeed traveled in time. Or maybe she imagined all of that while still inside her head and inside the psychiatric hospital. All and all, a nice jorney. And, again, what a solid delivery from Brie. 10/10 to her.

Huge plot holes, but a nice trip
23 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The movie itself is a nice trip, you get carried away waiting for what is going to happen next, what's the next level, who the main character will have as cellmate. Cinematography is trully well done. But the plot holes are huge. I mean HUGE. Why is the girl in the last level and why didn't the mother find her, and if she did, why didn't she come back with her? If the woman is constantly going down in the platform, and when it hits the bottom it comes straight up, why is she always coming down again? Why is the main character there? Why did they kill the main character's last cellmate? Why did the main character step out of the platform? Who choses to die over nothing? Why did the woman with the child always killing everyone? She was an actress with an ukelele for God's sake, how did she become a Top Agent Killer? Movie makes no sense AT ALL. If you don't mind plot holes and no answers, give it a try. If it bothers you, pass on this one.

My palms were sweating, jae dropped and eyes wide opened from the moment he started the climb till the end. There are not even words to describe what this guy did. Highly recommended if you like sports and breaking human limits.

You know.. that horror with no script, young couples with no chemistry at all acting silly and smoking weed. No tension, awful dialogs, no direction. Nothing to see here. Literally nothing.

What?
1 March 2020
Gonna start saying that the lighting and photography were perfect. There's a tension building, nice acting too, but the end did not keep the level with the rest of the movie. It's repeating same stuff. Did not give a satisfying answer to the question the movie itself revealed. Writing and directing were poor. Lighting photography and acting were 8/10. Directing and writing were 4/10 (at best). Do not recommend, unless you have nothing better to do.

Ridiculously bad
28 February 2020
The stories are faaar from true, doesn't give any solid evidence that what they say that happened really happened, and the worst part is, they take themselves seriously, and the cast is probably the worst I've ever seen. It's like a b-side horror, but "based on true facts" that are far from true. Keep your distance from this one.

Just like a Scooby Doo movie
21 November 2019
Not scary at all. Not frightening either. There are some nice "monsters" but they lack the "creepy" element. Feels exactly like a Scooby Doo movie, minus the dog and the stoner best friend.

Nice Thriller/drama/suspense
20 November 2019
This connection between Spain and South America is well-known for producing the best movies in these genres. Not different with this one. A must see for those of us who likes a well-timed slow-paced thriller/suspense and plot-twists. Mar Targarona (producer of El Orfanato; El Cuerpo and Los Ojos de Júlia - all a must-see) does a brilliant job in directing, and, again, Paulo (writer of El Cuerpo and Contratiempo) produces a masterpiece of writing. And the cherry in the cake is Jose Coronado (Contratiempo and Tu Hijo). A 8/10 that, the only problem for me is ***minor spoiler*** cellphones that work in the underground tunnel and in the airplane ***end of spoiler***. Must watch.

Perfect, balanced and totally unstable
12 September 2019
The drama is real, and is not forced at all (like most of the crap we're used to see around). Dialogs and character's constructions, directing, scripts, everything is simply perfect in this sitcom. Definitely a must watch. I'm not the kind of guy that throws 10/10 around (only 5 movies and 2 series - Black sails and breaking bad), but this one is, beyond doubts, a 10/10.

Your Son (2018)

10/10 movie; 0/10 ending.
20 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is a 10/10 the whole time. Dialogs, the tension mounting, acting, direction, twists in the plot. The atmosphere of the movie is awesome, keeps you connected to it, always wanting to know what comes next. Also, cuddles to Jose Coronado for the excellent job in the main role. Solid delivery.

But then, when the whole plot reveals itself (which is a good one and everything makes sense after that) comes the ending. The one flaw everyone is complaining about. The one flaw a movie like this shouldn't have. But it does.

Ending Destroyed the whole journey through the movie. It leaved the viewer asking why would they do that? Turns it into a sad 5/10.

Not for everyone
19 August 2019
Even though it's not a typical horror movie, it's a good one, but not for everyone's taste. If you like "building up tension" movies better than jumpscare and slasher movies you should give this one a tey.

It has some good shots, but seemed like it needed more time to develop and deliver all of what the director wanted to deliver. And it probably should've stayed more in the "nightmare some", cuz it was obvious that is the area the director felt more comfortable. Didn't like very much the dialogues though, but the movie is solid. But only for those horror movie fans with refined taste.

Jordan Peele is excellent. Loved his Run and BlacKkKlansman and I was super hyped to watch this one. Well, bummer. Awful movie. Even though it has excellent actors, nice photography, the whole movie makes absolutely no sense at all. It's all a huge confusion that mislead the watcher the whole time. 2/10 (only because of the actors).
