My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: Discordant Harmony (2017)
The greatest episode of Season 7
Let's go back to the simpler time of My Little Pony. (Yeah, before the final two seasons) 2017 was a year I got around watching My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, while I was on a verge of the final season for Samurai Jack and looking forward to start watching The Walking Dead soon after. Before season 7 premiered, I nearly watched every episode of Friendship Is Magic. Some of them are great, and some of them were trash. I know, I know! Twilight's Kingdom was good, but To Where and Back Again was better. The finale from season 6 was still my favorite episode as of now. When season 7 premiered, I was still watching the final season of Samurai Jack and started to watch The Walking Dead. After Samurai Jack concluded in May of that year, I decided to continue watching The Walking Dead up until season 7. While I was waiting for the eighth season to be released in October, I started to watch season 7 of Friendship Is Magic. I will say though, the season is getting off to a great start. Yes, it was a different time back then. There was no School of Friendship, no Cozy Glow, no Student or Young Six even. Spike had no wings, and Discord was still likable, sort of. Some of the episodes were good, though The Perfect Pear and A Royal Problem were the highlight, there is one episode that will forever become my favorite of that season. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... Discordant Harmony. This right here was the greatest episode of season 7. So, let's get to it! The episode opens with Discord and Fluttershy having tea together just like old times. While trying to figure out hosting the next tea party, Discord decided to host it for his own. He goes around shopping tea supplies and of course, some decorations. Discord then meets up with Pinkie Pie, telling him that he needs to make Fluttershy feel comfortable because Discord knows her so well. Alright, I can say that this is the first time Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie appeared on-screen without the Mane 4. So ironic. Meanwhile in Discord's dimension, he finds out that Fluttershy will not feel comfortable in his house because it's too chaotic. In order to make Fluttershy feel comfortable, Discord has to fix up the house with his duplicates and gets a makeover. When Fluttershy arrived at his dimension, she is eagerly excited to see what his house looked like. When she stepped in, she noticed his house wasn't as chaotic as she thought. When the two were having tea, Discord, all of the sudden, begins to fade away. Freaked out, Fluttershy needs to come up with an idea to make Discord get back to his existance. She pretended to be chaotic and started acting like Discord. As Discord came back to his usual self, he got his chaos magic back. Though Fluttershy was overjoyed how she wanted Discord's house more chaotic, Discord is sadden by the fact if he and Fluttershy were different, they wouldn't want to be friends anymore. He also said he and Fluttershy don't make sense to anypony, but Fluttershy told him that they make sense to each other because she liked Discord more than ever. That part always gets me because Discord had came such a long way from a public enemy number one to become a better friend. Anyways, by the end of the episode, Fluttershy and Discord had a chaotic tea party because that's what Fluttershy wanted. As the episode closes, we get a brief shot of Fluttershy and Discord having a wonderful time in his dimension. The end. And that's my review on Discordant Harmony. I have to say, this episode was funny, entertaining, and heartwarming at the same time. Pop culture references were the highlight, like Elvis and Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. The shipping in the episode was perfect because it shows how much Discord cares about Fluttershy. Fluttercord was the greatest ship of the series. My opinion on Discordant Harmony is a masterpiece. A 10/10 for me. Remember, stay safe and stay humorous.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (2021)
The best Ratchet & Clank game in years!
When I started playing this game, I never stop playing it two times in a row. The graphics, the gameplay, and the animation were spectacular. Rivet is a great character because it shows how she can handle things without any help. Dr. And Emperor Nefarious really stole the show, and Gary is another character I liked. He's kind, funny, wise, and handsome. I feel like he's the only character that girls would get their hands on him. The most sympathetic character of the game is Kit, she has a dark past because Emperor Nefarious made her into a killing machine. I feel so bad for how she had a hard life. Even Rivet lost her arm while finishing her job. But in the climax of the game, Kit helps Rivet, Ratchet and Clank to stop Emperor Nefarious once and for all. I hope the next game will expand the relationships between Ratchet and Rivet, Clank and Kit. In my opinion, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will be remembered for years to come and go down to be the best PS5 game I've ever played.
Despicable Me 2 (2013)
Best film of the franchise, hands down!
This is where the series should have ended with Despicable Me 2. Like the first movie, it has more humor and jokes that keeps the audience entertained. When I saw this for the first time back in 2013, I have no idea what was going through my head. I recently thought it wasn't as good as the original, but after five months of thinking about it, I got the movie on DVD on Christmas and I watched it a lot ever since. Despicable Me 2 picks up one year after the events of the first movie, Gru is now a father and an jam businessman. While trying to live a happy life with the three adorable girls, he meets secret agent named Lucy, who works for the Anti-Villain League. Along the way, Gru discovered a man named Eduardo Perez, which he believes Eduardo is El Macho who stole the PX-41 serum in Russia, but nobody believed him. As the film progresses, it was revealed that Eduardo was really El Macho all along. In my opinion, El Macho was the best villain of the series alongside Vector. In the tempt to stop El Macho, Gru must decide what side he is on: will he save the people he loved or will he go back to his villainous ways? The choice is his... Despicable Me 2 will go down as one of the best sequels of animation. The characters were spot-on like Agnes, Margo, Lucy, Edith, Dr. Nefario, Antonio, the Minions and others. The only character that I don't like is Jillian because she tricked Gru into dating Shannon, which ended up being the worst date ever. Anyways, Despicable Me 2 is the best film of the franchise with the bittersweet ending that will leave the audience in tears of joy.
The Mandalorian (2019)
Star Wars is back on track, and even way better than the whole Last Jedi!
The show turned to be amazing and I'm glad that the viewers got a great taste after the abomination of The Last Jedi.
The Lion King (1994)
A very good Disney animated movie.
The Lion King was one of the best Disney musicals of all time. Despite it's G rating, this film deals with very mature issues such as social unrest, terrorism, murder, and anarchism, and they should have added a PG-13 rating. The story was about a young cub named Simba who wanted to be king, but after his father was brutally killed in the stampede by his vengeful uncle Scar, he runs away from homeland. The songs in the film were fantastic, but the scenes are very intense, violent, brutal, and bleak. I highly recommended all viewers ages 11 and up.
