We the People with Judge Lauren Lake (2022)
Terrible show
I watched one-half of one episode. Judge Lauren Lake made a decision that was totally, completely, and as she admitted, contrary to the law. She made the decision out of "fairness". This is absurd. If I had been the defendant ordered to pay in this case, I'd be suing the judge, and the production company and I'm pretty, I'd win. These judges are "arbitrators" and as arbitrators are required to follow the law. She admitted that she wasn't following the law. She would be liable for damages for her bad decision. The law doesn't take into account "fairness" the way she did - the law is often not "fair". It was a simple contracts case. The party performed under the contract. She proved that she performed under the contract. And she should have won. Instead, she was ordered to pay. Ridiculous!! I'll never watch this show again!
Coroner (2019)
Total yawnfest
I've watched several of the episodes and can find nothing to recommend the show. The characters are boring to watch. The lead as far as I can see is not "in charge" and has to defer a lot to a "pathologist", she's not the "tops in her field" like Dr. Brennan on Bones, there is little to no conflict between the characters, and the deaths she investigates are nothing exciting or different from any other show. The third episode put me to sleep. I have no desire to see more episodes.
Deception (2018)
Lack of originality
There's nothing new in this show and the stars are not engaging. I remember a show back in the 1970s with Bill Bixby called "The Magician" that was almost the same thing - a magician fighting crime. The acting here is wooden, the premise is unbelievable - a mystery "illusionist" that commits crimes and framed another magician for a murder he committed?? And does anyone really believe that you can hide the fact that you have a twin for that long? The show is full of bad acting and bad writing.
Scorpion: The Bunker Games (2018)
Too bad the show isn't written by geniuses
This show has always been somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me. I thought it was bad from the first episode but it has its comic moments that are good for a laugh or two. But this week's episode was simply ludicrous. A computer system detects a threat so it's programmed to lock that threat in with you and disable all ways of your getting help? Who would be so stupid as to create a system like that, especially in a bunker that's designed for your safety? It's completely ludicrous!! The plots on this show in general are silly, but this one takes the cake!
