Derry Girls (2018–2022)
10/10
Class.
14 February 2018
A thoroughly enjoyable and hilarious addition to channel 4's comedic offerings. The extreme success of 'Derry Girls' lies deeply rooted in the effective well-rounded development of the main and recurring characters. With all four of the Derry Girls being totally antithetical to each other, the show seemingly appeals to a wide and diverse audience without losing sight of its purpose as a comedy. Set in 1990s Derry, McGee intricately intertwines the treacherous and realistic political undertones as an effective backdrop to successfully juxtapose the comedic on-goings in the lives of the core characters. It should win lots of awards.

Great

I have been watching this show for a while now and I find it really funny and creatively written. I like (most of) the characters and I find myself laughing in a lot of episodes. In each season there are about 6 hilarious episodes, 8 relatively funny ones, 5 'meh' episodes and 4 really annoying and desperate ones. This is where the show falls in quality. It is usually hit or miss each week. There are a lot of funny episodes, and some that makes the writers seem a little desperate for story-lines. I rated the show, in general, a 7. I would probably increase it to a 7.5, but not an 8 just yet. This show has a lot of potential, but it just isn't The Big Bang Theory.

7.4? Are you Serious?!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was really good! What is wrong with people who constantly come on here to rate Big Bang Theory episodes 1? The writing in this episode was creatively quirky and the acting was superb. Kunal Nayyar (Raj) has really proved that he has great physical comedy acting. I am glad that the writers have written that Penny hates her job. I know that the switch from acting/waiting tables to pharmaceutical sales was character development, but I think that Kaley Cuoco (Penny) played failed actress better and it suited her personality and comedy style. Anyway, all in all a brilliant episode and deserves at least 8.5+. Jesse Schedeen of IGN rated the episode 8.5 out of 10. You can read his (honest and appropriate) review by clicking the link below. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/04/08/the-big-bang-theory-the-big- bear-precipitation-review

Please do not come on to this site just to put the writers and actors down. This episode is much better than 1! Please rate honestly and don't be biased to other comedies that are trying to rival the show which is by the way TV'S NUMBER 1 COMEDY.

For some odd reason... I loved it.

Warning: Spoilers
Okay, let's get something straight here. After reading some spoilers before the episode aired, I gotta admit, I didn't hold much hope for this episode. I thought that it sounded a little bit boring and clichéd, but last nights episode really defied my expectations.

The Main Plot (Sheldon & Amy): For me, this plot was a great example of how 'The Big Bang Theory' has developed its characters. To see Sheldon feel so embarrassed and ashamed was not what I expected. He finally opened up to Am y and connected with her on a human level. It was really nice to see Amy try to comfort Sheldon, even though she was kind of shocked. I really like to see the human side of Sheldon every now and then, like in this episode. (P.S. I laughed so much at the laptop's funeral service)

The Sub-Plot (Penny, Leonard, Howard, Bernadette & Raj): I liked to see Penny finally taking an interest in Leonard's work. I really enjoyed the dialogue between each couple and I enjoyed the Raj jokes about the closet. I think the writers had the choice of either;

-Letting Howard and Leonard feel bad and let the girls (and Raj) tell them off (In my opinion, this would have felt a little overplayed.)

-Letting Howard and Leonard figure out that they had done wrong and do the right thing and apologize. (This, I felt, was a good choice as it symbolized the growth of the characters.)

So, overall, I loved tonight's episode and felt that the show has returned to the feel-good sitcom we all grew to love. (The golf ball.. Classic Sheldon!)

I thought that it was perfect!

Warning: Spoilers
When I realized that the 200th episode would feature in season 9, I became a little anxious because I thought that it would feature a new major change in the characters or some big dramatic story line. To be honest,I think that the writers did an excellent job with this. I liked how the episode was understated and I found that really refreshing and sweet. I loved how Sheldon's birthday party doubled up as a celebration of the show and all of its characters' quirks. I am delighted that this episode was unpredictable and didn't go all 'making silly twists for characters' like friends did for the 200th. I really liked the guest stars and liked the return of Leslie (who I think would be good for Stuart) and Beverly Hofstadter. The only improvement I would make is having Mary Cooper there for a reunion with Leonard's mom. The scene with Penny and Sheldon and the Birthday Speeches were beautiful and really fitted the 200th Celebration, and was directed to all the people across the world, nerds or otherwise, who feel that they don't fit in. It shows how Sheldon is weird but has a room full of friends (and Kripke) who all care about him lots. I feel like this was an understated and fitting story-line for the milestone and I hope that this show goes on for 200 episodes more and Congratulations!

I Loved It! I don't understand why its not rated 8.5+

Warning: Spoilers
I have been a loyal fan from the minute I first saw this program and I have to say, this is some of the best work I've seen the writers and actors do. I loved moody Bernadette and the extremely paranoid Howard. By the end of the episode Bernie looked really excited which I'm so happy about! I feel that this is the perfect time for Bernadette and Howard to introduce a little Wolowitz into the show. I can't get enough of drunk Sheldon! Every time he gets drunk he goes crazy! The karaoke was arguably the best part of this episode. Sheldon's high note... Yikes! The guy can sing but that was too loud and high. Anyway I loved the 'baby' theme. I feel like Penny is becoming the old Penny that we all grew to love. Overall I feel that this episode was a perfect way to celebrate the BIG news and it shows that Bernie and Howard can still have fun. Excellent work Big Bang Theory!!!

TBBT just got good again
28 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I think this show just got good again. penny's hair starts to get longer. Leonards dream is hilarious. throwbacks to the raj-Howard strange relationship with the hilarious ongoing plot of the shamy. liking how Amy is just as important as Sheldon in this relationship. The Fun with flags section is hilarious. great guest role of Melissa tang's character Mandy and i like the direction of the penny-Leonard relationship. Kaley Cuoco's (penny) hair has grown a lot so the producers have decided to put it in a pony tail to create the illusion that it could still be the same length as at the wedding (1 day before) yet it looks like a bob. Loved this episode. best in season 8 and 9 combined. cant wait for next wee. apparently the guys go to Mexico for Leonard bachelor party. 10/10
