Emily in Paris (2020)
A fun watch with a beautiful scenery
Take the show for what it is. If you expect intellectual entertainment, this show isn't for you.
It's fun, it's easy going, an homage to Paris and highly entertaining. The actors are all very likable and that's just it. Is it over the top? Yes. Does it play with stereotypes? 100%, but it's a comedy/romance show not Sartre. It's bubblegum fun with a bit of je ne sais qua sprinkled in. I've enjoyed all three season, all storylines and every quirky character with their strengths and their flaws.
I don't get the bad rating. Just don't watch it if you aren't into easy entertainment. Just enjoy the beautiful city of Paris while watching it.
This Is Us: The Hill (2022)
Always daddies girl
I love what the writer did with the last two episodes. Two different life stories stemming from one thing happening in early life. Can't wait for Randall's turn.
Don't get why everyone thinks Kate is selfish in this episode. Think it's one of the few times she isn't. She's thinking of little Jack and his needs, her moms illness and the life they've created. Let's be real, Toby isn't the guy she got to know and it's okay for him to grow and change, but sometimes people grow in different directions.
That's what's happening here. Toby is selfish about his work and basically gives her an ultimatum. I do hate how the writers have changed him so drastically, that he is almost not likeable anymore, but that's the only way to justify their marriage falling apart.
This Is Us: The Guitar Man (2022)
Kevins purpose in life
I really enjoyed Kevin's episode. Maybe finally he has found what his life should be about? I mean it would be pretty hard to live up to Jacks standards. Most of us would fail to be honest.
We saw a new version of him, heartfelt, not as selfish as normally and you just gotta live Nicky's arc. I couldn't be happier seeing him dancing with his girlfriend.
A TIU episode is a good one for me if it made me tear up and it did. Sad that it's going to end but eager to know how it will conclude.
And Just Like That... (2021)
Oh how I've missed it
**SPOILER**
I loved and hated it. SATC is my go to when I can't make up my mind on what to watch and I was looking forward to this.
Well turns out the first episode made me cuss out Carrie and cry like I've never cried before.
I am not a fan of woke tv shows because it always feels they are trying to hard, but after just two episodes I'm going to give them the benefit of a doubt. Being woke should came naturally and doesn't have to stand out.
Killing off Mr. Big; the massive man that never has been perfect, but depicted the man every girl had in their life and it never worked out, but for Carrie it did; broke my heart. I was looking forward to his old timey antics and his adoration for Carrie.
The "girls" look amazing. Do I miss Samantha? Yeah I did, but they didn't slander her and made her seem like the great person she is. Charlotte is as emotional as ever, Miranda is the rock and Carrie is so brave and still fabulous. I couldn't help but wonder how the rest of this show will go.
