The Lost Pirate Kingdom (2021)
Life of Pirates for dummies ( i loved it )
For those of you who like seafarers / action and at the same time want a historical update of these infamous legends, this series is probably a good start to give you the essential details about the pirates' progress and fall.
I know there are historical facts wrong but who really knows the whole truth?
Since I like historical drama series, I will dust off all the episodes in this lavish series from Netflix. Pirates of the Caribbean and Black Sails were good and this docu-series has its own little style to convey about what life was like for the pirates. So far so good after episode 1.
The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two (2020)
Bad Santa repeat and the gremlins look-alikes troll sinks this movie.
The Christmas Chronicles 2 is really exactly what you expect: more of the same, albeit much worse, more tired and gagged on the CGI front. This time, the spoiled daughter from the previous film has a hard time accepting her mother's new boyfriend and wishes herself away from the "misery". She gets her wish fulfilled when she suddenly lands with Mr. and Mrs. Claus (played by Russell and Goldie Hawn) in the North Pole, but she soon realizes that she's just a play in a trap orchestrated by a vengeful Santa Claus (played by Deadpool 2)
actress Julian Dennison). What begins as a familiar premise is soon lost in a messy jumble of computer-animated disgusting trolls (gremlins look-alikes), exhausting action scenes and unnecessarily much exposure.
Aladdin (2019)
Aladdin have become a Bollywood movie
With such expectations before its release i quickly become dissapointed when i watch the trailer.
New "Aladdin" is a colorful Bollywood flirt where Aladdin has become an invulnerable superhero and Jasmine a modern feminist.
It is of course difficult to see "Aladdin" but to compare with Disney's 1992. So how does Guy Ritchie's version do? A large part of what attracts Disney's projects of recreating their old films is to experience realistic versions of their classic cartoons. The live action-world Agrabah is colorful and exciting. The environments feel familiar but fresh and attractive. What you have not really succeeded with is the characters. Both good and evil. Both for good and for bad. Naomi Scott, who plays Jasmine. However, Aladdin is much more shy and withdrawn. It's not the same charming and confident thief we are used to.
Now he is just miserable. The chemistry that existed between Aladdin and Jasmine in the classic from 1992 is gone. Will Smith does a good job as the genie but its impossible to top Robin Williams master performance.
Long story short,an awful remake with to much touch of Bollywood.
Robin Hood (2018)
Historical disaster deluxe
What a disappointment, I had no high hopes before considering the story, but this movie will be a "Razzie classic" who almost gets last year's flop "King Artur" to be a good movie.
Remember that F. Murray Abraham who plays the cardinal makes a bad interpretation has been awarded an Oscar earlier.
Now all major movie companies may stop milking these ancient medieval legends a good while ahead because their concept of modernizing does not work today.
The Christmas Chronicles (2018)
Christmas is saved folks !
Im suprised by this awesome christmas movie with a diffrent type of story that we are used to see.
This family-friendly adventure about two kids who hitch a ride on Santa's sleigh turns ho, ho, ho into ho-hum.
Director Clay Kaytis' "The Christmas Chronicles" isn't going to make audiences believe in the power of Christmas, let alone stoke the spirit of the holiday season, but boy does it exhaust itself trying. The family-friendly adventure, about two kids whose Christmas Eve mission to capture Santa Claus (Kurt Russell) leads to helping him save the holiday, plays like a love letter to producer Chris Columbus' previous works without ever distinguishing itself. With its saccharine score, saturated cinematography, and trite platitudes, the film is formulaic and forgettable except for Russell's performance as the lovable legend.
The Week Of (2018)
This is worst mess i've seen in years
Omg what an disaster this movie is,this movie is a solid rasperry award winner for sure.Though his Netflix exile has been great for Sandler's bank account, the past few years have not been kind to his creative output. With the exception of last year's Noah Baumbach ensemble film The Meyerowitz Stories, which was not produced by Sandler's Happy Madison production company.
Bad acting from everybody exept Stevie Buscemi, dont waste your time watching this movie wedding movie because its a mess.
