The Curse of Oak Island: The Silver Spooner (2021)
This series is the true treasure!
I feared Covid would postpone this season until 2022. When episode 1 premiered in 2020 I hoped for 12 episodes. Watching episode 25 was like winning a Covid lottery! The season itself was the best yet and it feels like the guys are closer than ever to finding something big next season!
The Circus: Inside the Greatest Political Show on Earth: President Biden (2021)
No shoe eating!
I wanted to see that Georgia women eat a shoe after President Biden's inauguration, sadly, it didn't happen. Otherwise this was a another great episode!
Civil War Combat: America's Bloodiest Battles: The Battle of Chickamauga (2003)
Spencer Rifle helps save the union army
This episode prominently features the Spencer repeating rifle. I've always wondered why the Union didn't use this weapon in greater numbers and this episode underscores that thought very nicely. Col. John Wilder uses this weapon as a force multiplier with great success. It's a great episode that answers questions, raises new ones and reminds us that technology is not a substitute for bravery and leadership.
Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.: Showtime with Sgt. Carol (1969)
A Wonderful Round Robin!
Jim Nabors and Carol Burnett sing a delightfully entertaining "round" in this episode. You get to see two of televisions great entertainers at their best. Be sure and record it so you can watch it again and again!
Adam-12: Roll Call (1974)
Let's hear it for Shaaron Claridge!
This is one of my favorite episodes. A unique story where the drama builds without any real action until the end. Shaaron Claridge, a real life LAPD dispatcher, is particularly good in this one. The tension in her voice sounds real and is especially believable when she barks at an unseen patrol car to stay off the air until the roll call is completed. She should have won an Emmy for her performance in this episode!
