Night Court: The Best Dan (2024)
I love when there are nods to the original
This season seemed to tie some sentiment from the original into it and you can see when John Larrouquette gets a bit choked up talking about his old cast mates. This tied in well and we got to see Roz get married as well. The cliff hanger was fun too. I don't know if Marsha Warfield has been able to officially play an LGBTQ person yet so it was good to see her be able to represent her true self on screen as well. I didn't think I would like the show without Harry Anderson and American comedy isn't really my thing but this is light and always makes me smile and you can see the cast gets along well.
The Artful Dodger (2023)
Give us Season 2 Please!!!
I loved this way more than I expected to. Dodger was always my favorite character in every iteration of Oliver Twist but I absolutely loved him here and of course I have loved Fagen so the relationship with them was awesome. I loved the immersion as well since it was absolutely perfect and of course having so many of the characters being Aboriginal and Islander peoples made it the best! Tired of all the white washed period pieces of this are when of course the natives would be there too! It was just a perfect series so when is season 2 coming??? Loved the medical discoveries and the realism of the procedures too this could almost be some history channel or PBS production for its accuracy.
Deceptions (1985)
Hard to find and sadly Amazon has an abbreviated version
This is a good movie that I happened to catch as a kid or at least most of it since the power went out the second night lol, but now the only way you can find it is on Amazon Prime and it is only 95 minutes of the film. It starts after the car wreck completely ignoring the time in Venice and the premise of the entire film. You get to piece it together throughout as to why they are in the predicament. It is still enjoyable but my hope is that eventually someone will stream the original mini-series.
AJ and the Queen (2020)
Loved it so deep on so many levels
You laugh, you cry and its wonderful! The acting is top notch and the story-line is so rich plus you get to see all the facets of life on the road as a drag queen. I love the positive messages!
The Mandalorian: Chapter 5: The Gunslinger (2019)
I love the episodic western feel
I love the throw back they have done with the series. Every episode is a different place and different people like some of the old westerns or Kung Fu series. It's absolutely perfect and they throw just a little Mando lore into each episode. I don't understand the negative reviews of any of these episodes since they all have had heart, action and were perfect. I can't wait to see who was at the end. I see great things for the future of this series - if nothing else to finally give some more canon to the Mandalorians who are by far the most interesting group in the Star Wars universe in Legends and now with hope for canon.
Christmas in Love (2018)
Not too unlike "A Holiday for Love"
Very similar or maybe they use they same theme a lot. Corporate guy comes to small homey town to change things in a company and falls for the worker of said company as well as falls in love with the people of the town. Like recycling of a story with a few small changes.
