There are two plotlines that interject at certain points. The "kong tribe" plotline and the "chosen one" plotline. The chosen one plotline is some of the cringiest boring nonsense imaginable while the Kong tribe plotline is actually servicable.

Kong looks cool and the CG battles and fighting look pretty damn good, but as soon as the battle scenes end and Kong is replaced by the humans it all falls apart.

"Im a bad mom" boohoo this is the main focus of the human plotline. It is insufferable. And also the little girl is the best and she is actually the chosen one wow incredible. The girl is the key to everything.

Also it never ceases to be comical to see a fight scene in a massive city inhabited by millions of people when you know that every building destroyed results in the thousands of deaths. And instead of it being a horror movie it is a "fun" family action film. It just makes me look around wondering if everyone is watching the same movie as I am this is like 9/11 times 50. The greatest national tragedy in brazilian history. But instead everyone cheers? Okay then

There is maybe 20 minutes of entertaining stuff here all of it includes Kong, but even those parts are mediocre. This is the kind of slop netflix buys from India and throws them on the Netflix kids. But instead they made it into a full on movie? Christ almighty, Even the later transformers movies were leagues better than this. Absolute stinker of a movie.

Weird how after becoming a woman the director lost all their talent. I guess the sex change operations do actually work.

But yes the movie is nothing new. Same lines from old movie, same characters different actors in some places for some dumb reason. Laurence fishburne is gone, he was asked about it and he said to ask the director, because he doesnt know why. He would have wanted to do it. Weaving was doing another movie so he couldnt. Most likely reason is that morpheus died in a video game matrix so thats why hes gone which is quite weird that they have the games set up as canon, honestly quite stupid as the game was not good anyways. Dumb decisions all around.

Ridiculously stupid plot with some fun action and comedic bits mixed in. "lets go here, oh lets go here now, lets get out of here, lets go there"

If you have netflix but have nothing else to watch and dont value your time in the slightest then go for it. Or if you really like the rock and ryan reynolds.

They try to make up this historical treasure mystery tied to the story but it just feels tacked on just to excuse this constant traveling all over the map. It doesnt make the movie better or interesting. Just takes room from the only good things in the movie, the action and the comedy. And the comedy isnt the laugh out loud kind it just kinda makes you smile (the usual ryan reynolds jokes).

But it most certainly isnt a good movie.

NPC gets redpilled and realizes the truth about the world. A lot of people on twitter should watch this movie and think about it a little.

Has a little something for everyone. Dick marcinko, the person who came created seal team six btw is the star of this masterpiece. Gameplay is remniscent of James bond legends which is another phenomenal FPS experience. The story has everything twists and turns and is a real emotional rollercoaster. Seeing marcinko uncover cold war USSR secrets is very interesting.

10/10 American James Bond.

Bruce willis goes ham on criminals.

Good action though the movie outside the action is a bit boring.

Laughter crying this movie has it all.

Personally I have not seen many a movies made by mr Stallone but he was great in Judge Dredd and demolition man and here he manages to somehow outshine even those brilliant performances.

Beautiful movie all in all

The beginning throws a lot at the viewer without really giving you time to understand whats going on. Hell, took me minute in the theater to realize the trailers had stopped playing and the movie actually began.

There is a lot of exposition in the beginning, explaining the inverse time thing and talking about philosophical things which there is a lot of in this movie. A bit on the nose in my opinion and didn't really come as naturally as one might expect.

There is 0 character building as well. 1 hr after watching the movie and I have no clue what the main characters name was. I'm not sure if anyone ever even said his name.

The emotional bonding of the characters is also a bit lacking there are only 2 characters you really care about Pattinson and Washington and even them I didnt really care about. The emotional notes weren't really hit.

What makes this movie though are the cool action moments of the inverse time and its ramifications on things. Interesting yet at the same time quite confusing. The clues and tricks through out the movie with the time mechanic started paying off more towards the end of the movie when you actually got to see the effects of the time inverter.

At times a thought provoking film with some great action, yet nowhere near Nolans other masterpieces such as interstellar or inception as the movie itself felt more like an action romp even more so that batman for crying out loud. But the movies greatest fault has to be the total lack of emotional impact. During interstellar I bawled like a little girl yet during this didnt even feel like shedding a tear nor laughing. Lacks emotion is the problem, which leaves the movie feeling quite cold.

But is it worth watching? Certainly but it's not in any way the masterpiece some people are claiming it be, but a good action movie and this is coming from someone that has watched nearly all of nolans films and loved them each.
