Chicago P.D.: Inventory (2024)
Season 11, Episode 12

Chicago P.D. is not the show it used to be
16 May 2024
I used to really enjoy Chicago P. D. Some episodes the police would save people who may be kidnapped or help people who are being abused. A lot of the time they are trying to bust drug dealers or catch a murderer. All kind of cases that an Intelligence Squad in a major city would work. The show had an interesting mix of characters that worked well together. As the seasons went on, the police officers in the unit would date one another. Two of the cops married and stayed in the same unit, which would not happen in any major metropolis police force. Another cop adopted a child and then had another cop from the same squad move in with her and the child as a family unit. This would also not happen in a major metropolis police force. Putting all that aside, most episodes in the later seasons end on a downer. The show has become very depressing. Blue Bloods, Swat, NYPD Blue, etc. Have highs and lows in their stories. Chicago P. D. seems to relish in the hopelessness of the job of being police, especially in the last two or three seasons. It seems even when these cops win, they lose part of their souls. To anyone who may watch this show someday, quit after seasons seven or eight. After next week's episode, I am done.

I think it is time to give up after season 11
10 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This used to be a very solid police show. Over the years they lost a few characters including the first female detective who they then replaced with an almost identical character. A great actor, Jon Seda, was written out very poorly. Another great cop was killed. I do like Burgess and Kevin. It just seems that all these cops bounce in and out of bed with each other. First Adam with Haley, then he is with Burgess. Haley marries Jay who then leaves the show for a poorly written reason, one that would allow him to return. Voight is always Voight and Judy seems basically wasted as a character. I think most of the Dick Wolf shows should be reevaluated, and give way to new ideas.

Among Wolves (2023)
8/10
Slow start, then a solid western
24 March 2024
I was nervous about this film in the beginning. It looked low budget and the dialogue was not great. The two female characters were unimaginative and James Russo was playing to type. Tom Berenger could not save the beginning of this film. About 20 minutes into the film we are introduced to Michael and Angel. That is when the movie becomes interesting. Trace Adkins and Jeff Fahey play these roles low key. I truly enjoyed Jeff Fahey playing against type. The characters go on a journey and there is a twist. This movie is not a great western, but it is definitely better than most of the low rent, direct to DVD westerns. Watch with low expectations, get past the first 20 minutes, and enjoy.

One of the worst episodes of Walking Dead ever.
18 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
As a viewer of every episode of every Walking Dead show in the entire W. D. universe, I can honestly say this episode was horrible. It was poorly written. The episode consisted of Micchone harping on Rick for an hour, then a weird sex scene where Rick is having some emotional breakdown? Then they have to escape a building that is half falling down? Then you hear that the elevators only have 10 minutes of power left. They do an A-Team walker kill fest, then drive away in a hybrid car that looks brand new off the factory floor, complete with 3 cans of Ethanol. This episode was nothing but filler to drag out a 6 episode count. Also the looks on their faces as they drive off are goofy.

Clerks III (2022)
7/10
First half an hour is horrible, then comes a decent movie.
11 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Kevin Smith's best film is Clerks 2 or Chasing Amy. I will not argue either way. I was very excited for Clerks 3, but nervous after the last Jay and Silent Bob movie, which kinda sucked. When I saw the trailer and saw Rosario Dawson, I got excited. This is going to be a sequel to the sequel. A part of a trilogy. I knew it could not match Clerks 2, but I had hope of a bookend to the whole universe. The first 30-40 minutes of this movie are not funny at all, but then it picks up steam. It would have been better without the kid from Clerks 2 becoming a satanist. Also, the Quick Stop is saved by selling kites online. DUMB. I did like the stuff with Becky and Dante. Some of the deleted scenes should have been left in the movie while the Amy Sedaris and Justin Long scenes should have been cut. It seems like Smith made 2 movies and mashed them together. On the plus side, it is fun to see the auditions and all the old characters coming back 30 years later. RIP Dante and Becky.

Started Strong, Then Went Down Hill
17 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First 2-3 episodes are very good. Then like a lot of shows, there are too many subplots. Who killed the lady pimp? Julian's son he did not know he had, goes on the run with his teacher/girlfriend. She winds up dead. The kid's mom finds the body. Julian has street cred after 15 years in prison. In flashbacks, Julian is well respected in prison. Why? We do not get to know. Jon Berenthal is very good. Wayne Brady plays off-character very well. Gretchen Mol is bland. The sex scenes are not sexy. Julian goes back to being a gigolo to pay for a dog's surgery. Most of the characters are ridiculous. By episode 5 the show dumbs way down. Save 8 hours. Watch something else.

Celebrity Jeopardy! (2022– )
1/10
This show is horrible!!!!!
5 October 2022
I watch every episode of Jeopardy. I love that show! This celebrity version is not that show. This celebrity version is an insult to Jeopardy fans everywhere. The regular Jeopardy has 61 questions over a1/2 hour. The celeb version has 3 rounds with a total of 91 questions over 1 hour. The questions are dumbed down, even in the third round. In the second episode the celebs made stupid comments between every question/answer. They were attempting to be funny. They were not. This show has no respect for the game. Mayim acts like she is hosting a party game in her living room. Of the first 6 celebs, only two could compete on the celebrity episodes that were hosted by Alex Trebek. This trash would not be on television if Alex were still with us. No season 2.

We should never forget !
27 April 2022
A very important film. Sometimes it is hard to watch. I would recommend " Escape From Sobibor " as a better film, but this film is relevant. It captures the Nazi's evil. The ending has less detail than Escape From Sobibor.

The Last Duel (2021)

Get past the first 45 minutes, the film gets better
26 February 2022
Long film. The story is broken into 3 chapters. The first chapter does not work due to the miscasting of Matt Damon. A very fine actor, but not for this film. I understand he was very important in making the film, but he seems wrong for the role. Chapters 2 and 3 focus on Adam's and Jodie's characters. These chapters are far more interesting. The last duel at the movie's end is exciting, but I almost wanted to fast forward. P. S. I am not a Ben Affleck fan, yet he stole every seen he was in. Overall an okay film to look at, but Ridley Scott has made many better films.

Peacock & Syfy Leave us hanging again !!!
22 December 2021
This show started off slowly. I stuck with it anyway because it was advertised as a limited series. About half way thru the season I really started to care about the characters. I also believed after episode 6 that there may be a conclusion. I was wrong. I warn viewers to not get attached. I am disappointed again.

10 out of 10. This is how a series finale should be !!!
17 June 2021
The final season was as strong as the first. Without giving any spoilers, I was surprised by a few of the twists in the last episode. I was so satisfied, I re-watched the finale a week later to see if the episode was as good as I thought. It was. Thank you Queen of the South for wrapping up the story !!!

Thanks for the cliffhanger (sarcasm)
19 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I really like this show a lot. Unfortunately it is on Fox where good shows do not have a chance for more than a season or two. I do not understand why the producers or the network could not cut the final few seconds, so it could at least seem like an ending. God forbid the network greenlights a 2 hour movie to wrap the story up. Not going to happen. Me watching anything besides Sunday night cartoons on Fox, not going to happen. That being said, good episode. Would have been better if anyone gave a damn about the viewers.

Fear the Walking Dead: Things Left to Do (2021)
Season 6, Episode 9
10/10
The last 2 episodes are what THE WALKING DEAD used to be
19 April 2021
Fear The Walking Dead has been far superior than the original Walking Dead, simply because the characters. The original relies way too much on Carol and Daryl, who are great secondary characters, but as leads are quite boring. Morgan is fantastic. John and June are really great in 608 & 609. It is nice to see all the characters showing up in the same episode.

Great way to end a really good show !
10 April 2021
After watching the fantastic penultimate episode, I was worried the series finale could not be as good. Thankfully I was wrong. This finale is a prime example of how to give the fans what they want and more. Without giving anything away, this may be the best episode yet.

Worst Episode Ever !!!
29 March 2021
Two of the least interesting characters left on the show split up and face boring dilemmas. One must find a rat, while the other looks to replace a broken fuel line. The moment where Carol talks with Jerry and the rat runs away thru the open door is television at it's most moronic. Four of the five episodes since the Whisperer War ended have been fair at best and disconnected from one another. Hopefully Negan's backstory should be an episode the writer's can not mess up. It would have to be better than this episode.

Started strong, went way too long
1 December 2020
The first two or three episodes were good, then the episode twists at the end of each episode got goofy. Would have been better as a shorter series. There is a reason movies don't go six hours. This show needed an editor. HBO probably wanted 6 episodes. Good story, not great. P.S. the acting was exceptional. All props to Kidman, Grant, et al.

same terminator, different decade
25 July 2020
This movie is 2 hours long as the final credits begin to roll. It felt like 3 hours+. The action scenes and special effects are boring. The opening scene was good, Mackenzie Davis was not bad, and Arnold had a fairly interesting minor storyline as a T-800 trying to make a life after fulfilling his mission. The real surprise for me is how great Lina Hamilton was. I totally bought she was the same character from T2. Overall the film is long, boring and totally predictable. Please no more Terminator movies !!!

I'll Be Gone in the Dark (2020–2021)

A show for people who do not care for other people
7 July 2020
I watched the first episode and was very disturbed by how much these people were turned on by true crime. Michelle McNamara says early on in episode 1 how true crime is her thing that she is obsessed with. Many other people are more concerned with her solving the case than how it affected people who suffered. Just because these events happened decades ago, it does not make these events entertainment. I feel sadness for the victims who are brave enough to tell their stories. This documentary should be about them and NOT the true crime junkies.

This episode ruined a really good show !!!
2 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The first season was a solid mystery with undertones of Marcella's mental issues. Season 2 started strongly, but the last 2 episodes really crapped out. The killer's identity was a WTH moment. The last 5 minutes turned me off this show for good.

as close as perfection as possible
2 June 2019
The characters were true to the original. the flashbacks as refresher to story points were outstanding. the main death was heartbreaking, but also a call back to a similar death in season three. also many minor characters got sufficient screen time. overall much more than expected, and I expected a lot. well done !!!

solid ending
20 May 2019
Granted season 8 was not perfect and the season seemed hurried to it's conclusion, with the exception of the small council scene being rather silly, the episode was solid. The characters fared better than I thought. I was hoping Sansa would rule the 7 kingdoms ,but Winterfell is enough. I liked Jon and Arya's endings.
