44 Gatti (2018)
The Italian version is better
After seeing an ad of the show a few days ago, I looked for its Wikipedia page to learn more about it. Upon briefly reading about it on Wikipedia, I found out that 44 Cats is a hit show in Italy that somehow made its way to other countries, including the U.S.
When I watched a half-minute clip of the Italian version, I find it decent. The graphics are very colorful, and the voices perfectly fit the characters.
But upon seeing some clips of the English version which will air really soon, I can't say that I feel the same way about that one. The colorful graphics are retained, but the voices of Lampo and Meatball (and some other male characters) are too feminine. I don't know why but the English dub is a complete travesty of a great Italian series.
With this, I'm sticking with the Italian version.
Unikitty! (2017)
That Blue Horse/Dog Thing
The show looks okay but Puppycorn's fake voice brings everything down.
The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (2018)
We have yet to see a good R&B media
Although I had fun playing video games based on the original TV series, I can't say that I feel the same about the TV series. Oh sure, the TV series has some good points. But its flaws are more than enough to put me off.
After releasing the Mr. Peabody and Sherman show which is fairly received, DreamWorks decided to create a show featuring the moose and squirrel who haven't been having some success lately. As to what I can I say about this new show? Hardly an improvement. The graphics are better due to newer technology, but the voices are grating, especially that of Rocky which is also unauthentic. Well, Rocky was never authentic by the way which is one of the reasons why I never enjoyed the original series.
Maybe we'll get a good R&B media one day. I can almost sense it as most studios are learning to give a character role to someone more matching in a lot of ways.
The New Adventures of Peter Rabbit (1994)
Are Peter's Shoes Invisible To Some People?
Peter Rabbit is an anthropomorphic rabbit in Beatrix Potter's books. As a character, he is best known wearing a jacket and shoes. As the copyright for the book expired some time after its release, various adaptations of The Tale of Peter Rabbit have been made. But if there's anything I can't understand about some of those adaptations, that is some of them depict Peter without shoes. And this show is one of them. I wonder why? Even the 2012 Nick Jr. series has a similar style. Could it be that the shoes Peter wears in the original books are invisible to some readers which is why they made him shoeless in some adaptations? I don't know why but there's certainly nothing wrong in giving him footwear. It's either the omission is purposely done or those who seen the books need their eyes check. This show is certainly a disappointing rendition of the character.
Scaredy Squirrel (2011)
Comparing Scaredy To Some Stupid Limburger Is Lame
For some time, a number of users have been negatively comparing Scaredy Squirrel to some stupid limburger. I wonder, where's the logic in that? After seeing a few episodes I don't see any strong similarity.
I think the personalities of Scaredy and Dave is something I've seen in comedies called a double act. In other words, Scaredy is the straight man while Dave is the funny man. For more info about double act, there's an article on it in Wikipedia.
Scaredy is a squirrel who's easily frightened as his name implies. However, he's an expert in organizing and stacking things at a grocery. The limburger is just a quirky blockhead who overcooks pancakes at a bistro.
Dave seems a little dull but nowhere near as dumb as that red spur who is the limburger's best friend.
As for Nestor, I don't think he's based on some moldy sea spider. Nestor is a cynical grocery operator who make things difficult for the employees, particularly Scaredy. The moldy sea spider is just a snobbish dude who wants to be away from the limburger and spur who enjoy toying with him.
I don't know what people have in mind but the way they do their negative comparing is lame
Sonic 25th Anniversary Party (2016)
The Sonic Franchise Ain't What It Used To Be
When he first hit video games back in the 90s, Sonic was once a really promising character. In fact he once rivaled Mario in prominence. Yes, Sonic was really promising, especially when Sega was still making consoles. But when Sega quit the console business fifteen years ago, the blue hedgehog was just another video game character. Anyway, there are some other reasons why the Sonic franchise lost its shine.
When the game makers were making Sonic 06, they pushed it too early and didn't take time to check the game thoroughly. Thus the game has some problems. Sonic also had another dud when a Sonic Boom game, which was released for hand-held platforms, also did not get good reception.
What can Sega do to make the Sonic franchise prominent again? One, they should take time and not rush games to the market. Two, it would be best if they pick a lad to be Tails. The way they didn't use a lad might have been a problem in these recent Sonic games, including this TV show.
Crusader Rabbit (1950)
Might Have Been Fun If A Boy Did The Bunny
Before there was the colorful world of Rocky and Bullwinkle, there was a chessboard realm featuring a bunny and a huge tabby cat. By seeing a few screenshots, I might say that this animated series is cute and cool. But for some reason, this show is a total dark horse. I wonder why? I didn't know anything about the cartoons until check the web.
I for one enjoy stories, especially fables. I do like animals like dogs, cats, kangaroos, foxes, and rabbits. Yes, the show features a title character who is a cute white rabbit, and I guess I should enjoy it. But I don't. I was at first curious upon reading a little about the show. But when I learned who were on the microphones, my curiosity all but died out. Perhaps whoever selected the cast must be gender-blind.
While they are a complete package of cuteness and funniness, the cartoons have no sense of tradition. In other words, the show might have been fun if a boy did the bunny.
Conker's Bad Fur Day (2001)
This Thing Gave Conker A Negative Image
After creating some promising games, Rare became part of Nintendo. As those two worked together, things were going well. Yes, things were going well, especially following the releases of Diddy Kong Racing and Banjo-Kazooie. But when Conker's Bad Fur was released, things suddenly got sour between Rare and Nintendo. The sourness was so bad, that Nintendo ended their association with Rare.
Why did things between the two companies got so sour all of sudden? Conker's Bad Fur Day is a bizarre game that features excrement, dirty language, and other obscenities. What kind of a game features those things? And because the game is therefore not family-friendly, it performed underwhelmingly in the market. Nintendo probably took a lost on that game. Nintendo perhaps even wished the game was family-friendly because this was to be a family-friendly game.
Had Rare stick to decent games, maybe they would have stayed with Nintendo. Rare would continue making good sales.
Rayman (1995)
Europe's Most Famous Character
Japan has Mario and Sonic. America has Bubsy. If Europe has someone who's been doing well in the video game scene, it's Rayman.
I never get to play the PlayStation version or the Sega Saturn version because I don't have any of those consoles. However, I do get to play the Game Boy Color version online. One may think hand-held versions are simplified versions of console games, and are less interesting. But in the case of Rayman, playing on Game Boy Color is still quite fun. The music is quite catchy, especially at the Airy Tunes stage.
Cool character, cool moves, and cool music. The fancy still images really do well for the lack of video scenes.
