Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016)
You would think they'd go out with a bang instead of a thud
My wife and I watched this movie Saturday 1/28/2017. We had expected the finally to be epic. An epic close to an otherwise great series. From the last movie, we ended up watching as humanity was near a precipice of all man kind. the story was dull, not very well thought out. The storyline was an A-typical convoluted one of what the whole series had been about.
spoiler: Albert Wesker dies, Dr. Isaac dies and we find that Alicia Marcus was the DNA used to create Alice. But the final battle was too unbelievable, phony and really sad to be an end to this series. BTW, they left the end of the movie open for a new movie??? end spoiler!
I really wish I hadn't seen this movie. It deserved a much better ending. It left me feeling as if, they rushed it to get it out of the way. But I suppose in the bigger picture, keeping a storyline true to the way it was meant is hard to do.
If you were a true fan of this series, you may be terribly disappointed. also, the theater only had a couple show times in Reno for the normal version but I wouldn't waste a dime on the 3D version. either rent it or get it on DVD but that would defeat the purpose of protecting my fellow fans
90 Minutes in Heaven (2015)
Great Movie
I've seen a lot of books based upon true stories or fake but in terms of a movie staying true to the book, 90 Minutes in Heaven wins hands down. The producers and director with the help of Don Piper himself corroborated on this movie to bring you a movie about heaven.
Only thing in the book that Don said that wasn't stated in the movie was that what he felt most was GOD's LOVE everywhere. But he got it right with the book with who he saw, what heaven was like, falls really well into place with the book.
Heaven is for real no matter what people may believe or not.
I give this movie a 9/10 for keeping true to the book and pretty good acting on the parts of all characters.
