The First Omen (2024)
Do not waste your time
This movie is an insult to the original.
This story is a direct prequel to the original. It's about a young girl going to Italy, working in an orphanage, to take her vows as a nun.
While there she meets a young girl who is troubled. Those troubles lead to her growing suspicion about things she had experienced as a young girl.
Que the priest, Father Brennan, and the rest is, as they say, history.
It is very dark and hard to see. The acting is slow and disjointed (think high school, only worse). The story makes no sense and some of imagery is unnecessary and counterproductive to the story.
There was no need to show close ups of female genitalia nor was there any need to continuously show the nuns smoking.
If you want a really slow movie, with wooden acting and poor storyline, this may be for you.
Five Nights at Freddy's (2023)
Boring
I know that the game predates Willy, but that is a much better movie.
This is just really slow and tedious.
Synopsis:
Mike is haunted by the abduction of his little brother, which leads to emotional issues for him as an "adult".
Mike takes care of his little sister, yet he is completely inept at even taking care of himself.
After losing several jobs due to his emotional instability, Mike ends up working as a night security guard at a Chuck E Cheeseesq pizzeria that is haunted.
What follows is slower than the Sixth Sense and telegraphs worse than Scream.
Even the Ring and the Grudge were more entertaining, which both sucked.
Exodus (2021)
A modern version of Pilgrim's Progress
I've seen worse renditions of this, but it is essentially a remake.
Sad that humanity has seemed to have lost all creativity.
Not great, not horrible.
Post rapture, man hears of a way to paradise, decides to buck the status quo and seek out the entrance, despite his job being to prevent others from doing the same.
The film crew specifically misses the entire point of the story: We ALL need Jesus.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Light.
In the movie, the protagonist. Finds the truth, then like many in the consumer church, turns his back on truth.
Let this serve as a warning rather than as a moral lesson.
The Batman (2022)
Sparkly vampire tries to be an action star
And yet he still can't act.
This is slow, boring, and devoid of Batman.
He looks like a middle-aged guy doing cosplay, bad cosplay. The costume is bulky, like my children wearing jackets and two pairs of pants under their costume for Halloween because it is so cold.
Lego Batman was more entertaining.
Ghostbusters 2016 had better acting.
Sorry, but I don't buy him as a leading man. He looked like he was on the verge of tears the entire time.
Don't let them ruin your childhood like they did mine.
Church People (2021)
Hilarious movie
This is a movie that pokes fun at some of the more prolific mega churches and American Christians. Guy keeps telling the people that if they miss this, they miss the point, which is exactly what so many do.
For those who are upset about this movie, develop a sense of humor.
For those who can enjoy it, pay attention to what Guy has to say about Jesus being enough. Then go subscribe to Pureflix and watch Brother White or A Man Named Jon.
