Ms. Marvel (2022)
Made for different audience
Just to be clear, this is not 1/10 or 3/10 show. It's clearly made for kids. So if you are like me, guy in early 20s you are probably not going to enjoy it very much.
But I can imagine someone around 10-15 years can have good time with this show and really it's not a bad thing to target different audience.
How I Met Your Father: Timing Is Everything (2022)
Very good ending for the first season
Everyone will be talking about those cameos, but even without them this episode would be great. I think this is going to be nice little spin-off if they can keep up with quality of first season finale.
The Batman (2022)
It's probably my fault
I really don't know why it didn't land well with me. But still, I liked a lot of things about The Batman.
First of all, Gotham City. This is how it's supposed to look. Dark, gothic, full of thugs. It even remainderd me Arkham games when it comes to atmosphere.
That's probably my problem, I like Batman and his great rogue gallery, but this was too grounded and realistic to actually let such individuals exist. That's why main villain was a bit underwhelming, at least to me. I know movie was inspired by Seven and it's quite visible.
Also, a bit too many subplots. It's weird to say this, but with runtime around three hours, there are few things that felt rushed.
Overall, great atmosphere and I am sure many, many people will love this movie. I am just not sure how I feel about it.
How I Met Your Father (2022)
It's watchable, but they need to realize HIMYM didn't become so great over night
It's okay sitcom, nothing too great so far. Characters are okay, but I feel like they lack the chemistry between them, but that's probably going to improve later as the cast find their way around each other.
But they need to stop with all the emotional drama. Give us some nice, funny episodes first so we can connect to the characters. I don't care about their hard life and childhood trauma because I don't know them. When Barney was first introduced to his father it had some emotional value, because we liked the character, because we spent a lot of time with him. Now we have emotional drama moments in every episode from the day one and it's hurting the show. At least in my opinion.
Peacemaker (2022)
Am I missing something ?
I really don't know if I am the one who is wrong here or people are just being sarcastic with all these 8/10 rattings, but this is near unwatchable.
I saw one and half episode and I am not coming back for more. Everything here feels stupid and out of place. If it's supposed to be a parody then maybe it should make people laugh instead of cringe.
Acting is average, John Cena is doing okay. I am not fan of his but he blends in well, even tho his character has very little in common with his movie version.
Maybe after this show ends and I will hear good things about it I will give it one more shot. But I don't see that happening.
Legally Blonde (2001)
Surprisingly good
It was one of those lazy afternoons and I had a TV on while eating lunch, and Legally Blond just started. I didn't change the channel and I am really happy about it
Legally Blond is that kind of movie Hollywood is trying to do so hard these days. You know, strong female protagonist is succeeding against all odds. But in a more human way, without making all male characters around stupid and pathetic.
Anyway, it's well written and directed movie worth of watching.
Loki (2021)
Tom Hiddleston is great, but that's not enough.
This show was rather weird experience. It had it's fair share of plot holes, but the pacing was the hardest thing to digest.
At least half of every episode was just talking over the table, revealing very little. Take away great acting performances from Tom and Owen, and you have very little left. It's great to have high quality actors, but weak script is weak script.
And why is everyone in TVA human from Earth and everyone else is human lookalike? We saw in Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor what the universe looks like.
The Witcher (2019)
I am officially a fan
I always knew there are books and games about Witcher, but never really played or saw them. After this show I am definitely going to.
Cavil is doing hell of a job here as a Geralt of Rivia, rest of the cast is doing well. I am not giving 10/10 only because I was a bit lost in the story from the beginning, but everything was clear before the end of the season.
Great show, highly recommend it to everyoneone who likes Witcher or anything fantasy related.
