Fugget About It (2012)
The writers got sicilians right
I understand the writers know enough about Canadian and Americans to write brilliant satire, but how can they know Sicilians so well? Haha the omertà and malocchio episodes cracked me up. The completely mauled sicilians words are funny too. My guess is that cheech is actually the nickname Ciccio from Francesco. Anyway all the characters are well defined and the gags are awesome. It's a shame that this TV show landed on prime only now
The Walk (2015)
Zemeckis proved again to truly know how to tell a story
Zemeckis is one of my favorite directors, if not my favorite, since "who framed Roger Rabbit" (that I was lucky enough to see in theater when it went out), therefore this review could be a little biased.
I didn't know what to expect from The Walk. I didn't know Philip's story, I didn't watch the "Man on the wire" documentary (which, of course, contains a lot of spoilers). I couldn't imagine how a story about a walk on a highwire could have been told.
All the doubts cleared after the first few minutes of the movie. The direction it was taking was clear and I loved every minute of it, right from the start.
The walk itself was painful, totally distressing. I felt so tired that I couldn't even watch the whole sequence.
Only movie to see in 3D this year. I prefer this to The Martian, which had the only problem to come after Cast Away.
