The Winchesters (2022)
It's great, but not perfect.
I am really excited and genuinely interested to see where this show is going to go. I love the slight nods to the original show without beating us over the head with references. I immediately am interested in these characters, old and new, and I think the new John and Mary really work. I can't wait to see how these puzzle pieces come together. The pacing is different than Supernatural, as well as the graphics. I enjoyed the change of pace since we already have a background. The graphics...not so much. Very willing to shut my cake hole and let the driver pick the music, though. He seems to know what he's doing.
Supernatural: Heartache (2012)
Not the best but still good.
This isn't the strongest of episodes story wise. However, something about the episode is very memorable to me. I really like it, and it's fun to watch. I enjoy watching it despite the credibility of the monster and it's lore, how it's killed, etc. Then again, we're talking about monsters. Who's to say what's credible?
I am also an Ackles fan so there is a probability of bias. So it's a 10/10 from me.
Supernatural: Carry On (2020)
Erase this episode, and it's my favorite show again.
This episode managed to erase 15 years of character development, growth, storytelling and every meaningful theme. I felt everything that was supposed to be "satisfying" or have an inkling of "happiness" to it was handled poorly and lazily. (That wig, two versions of the same song back to back, Sam's son unceremoniously walks to Sam's deathbed and says go ahead and die old man) I think it is an injustice to the characters, they actors that have stuck with this show for it's entirety, and it was a slap in the face to the audience that has fallen in love with and want happiness for all the characters. (Not just Sam ((if you can call that happiness)) They all deserved to live in the perfect world for which they had fought so hard. Every beautiful thing about the characters breaking free from their contrived destiny and being "Team Free Will" was revoked by giving everyone the ending they saw for themselves at the beginning of the show or whenever their character was introduced. All the "found family" was discarded and/or ignored and forgotten. I will not go in depth about their ending for Dean. They literally stabbed him in the back, and said this is what you deserve. It was one of the many other season finales where one brother survives and one doesn't make it, just recycled. As the finale for a show that has stitched broken people together and produced a family, it is an embarrassment. Overall, it served as an alternate ending for Mystery Spot.
Isn't It Romantic (2019)
It's what I wanted "I Feel Pretty" to be...with musical numbers.
I really enjoyed this movie. Is it groundbreaking? No, not really, but I enjoyed the humor, the cast, the music. As you see I also watched "I Feel Pretty", and this movie actually successfully sent the message I believe "I Feel Pretty" was going for. I thought the humor was actually funny, and the end result was exactly what I want to see when I go see a movie.
Supernatural (2005)
I don't even like sci-fi!!
I have recently started watching Supernatural and quickly binged all the seasons on Netflix. At first I didn't find it enjoyable. Finish season one before you leave this show behind. This show has become one of my favorites. I don't usually enjoy sci-fi or super hero movies or anything of the sort, but this show has so much more than that at its core, the most prevalent being family. This show has helped me become a better person, sister, and friend, and I will forever be grateful! Plus, it's still on, and there's already 13 seasons to catch up on!
