Aftermath (2016)
entertaining
I actually enjoyed this show. Sure, it's another end of the world show and they can be hard to do right but Aftermath has action, drama, science, emotional stuff. That's everything you need in this genre. The acting from all cast members was really good.
It is a little different then your average zombie apocalypse drama, but that's why I liked it. It offers something new to wrap our brains around if you just give it a chance. You wont regret it. The ideas in this drama are fresh and unique, unlike any other show I've seen. I got attached to the characters and caught up in their plight. Totally worth watching and I hope to see a season 2.
Ghost Asylum (2014)
Refreshingly real.
I enjoy watching the crew and love their accents and even if Chasey can be a little hard to follow he's adorable. I also love how Brannon tries to make a new "ghost trap" each week. It's ingenious and hilarious. XD
Admittedly it does follow similar traditions to other ghost shows, but hey... what else can you do that hasn't already been done? You take photo's, do EVP's etc.
All round good effort. They don't try to scam you with fake and over dramatised scenes like some other popular shows. Maybe some people like the over the top ham acting of other shows but I for one love the down to earth, no nonsense approach of this honest crew. Good job guys!
The Shannara Chronicles (2016)
Quality Fantasy TV Show.
This is a Brilliant show. The Cinematics are gorgeous, costumes are perfect and it fills a decided lack in the fantasy genre.
While some of the actors are new to the game they do a good enough job and there are some well established names in there like Manu Bennett, John Rhys Davies and others.
I haven't read the books and am able to enjoy the show on it's own merit without comparing it. In my opinion that would be unfair as it has it's own appeal full of action, intrigue and magic. Some feel it's target audience is young adults and while they will love it, If you like Elves and fantasy in general you don't have to be young to enjoy this well made show.
The overall quality is akin to the big screen. Well Done!
