The Last of Us: Left Behind (2023)
Awesome Episode, it stuck to the script
This was an episode I was worried about it being messed up like a certain episode. But this episode is dope, nothing new is added and the acting and dialogue was on point. Obviously wish there was more Joel, but that's not how it was like in the game, it was about Ellie and Riley's story which provides character development for Ellie as the reason she is the way she is. Can't wait for the next episode. Very excited to see Troy Baker aka Joel in the next episode, it'll be a little weird seeing him not play Joel, but I'm sure it'll play out just fine. We'll hopefully see an appearance from Ashley Johnson as well.
The Last of Us: Infected (2023)
Just slightly off
The clicker scene is spot on, definitely the best part of the episode. The ending didn't have the same spark as it did in the video game, and it's okay to be different, but I think this is the only time in the series so far that they should've stuck to the script. The whole "they are connected" through the vines was an interesting idea, I'm sure we'll see more of that. The beginning was good, but I don't think there was any point to just have the corpse entirely naked, really took me out of the moment. All n all, still good, could've been better, but atleast they nailed the clicker scene and the Ellie and Joel bonding moments. Looking forward to the next episode.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor (2022)
Look how they massacred my boy.
Had such high hopes for this episode. I was at the halfway mark, and nothing interesting had happened and was getting slightly worried about the final push, and thus it fell flat on its face.
And they did my boy wrong, made him look like a chump. And it's not that they killed him off, but how they killed him off that ticks me off. The dude was the #1 bounty hunter, and gave multiple Jedi a run for their money, but a guy with a stick is too much to handle. Come on son.
The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian (2022)
Wizard!!!
Star Wars at it's finest. Haven't had this much fun watching Star Wars since Mando season 2. The callbacks this episode had were brilliant, especially Fallen Order and those sound effects. Can't wait to see next weeks episode.
