Possibly the worst movie I've ever seen
10 February 2007
I was forced to watch this due to nothing on TV. I usually am able to watch a movie at full length, but everything about this movie is bad. Bad camera angles sometimes make the movie look terrible. Some of these angles should be used at another time, but are used at a totally wrong scene.

The audio is very poor. This is a 2002 movie, and sometimes the audio is out of sync. It's like they got random people to re-do the voices at a recording studio.

The music is sparse. All you hear is voice.

Actors overact. This makes everything sound bad. Only a few of the adults are bearable.

I'm amazed how people would give this movie a rating over 5, this makes B rated movies look like masterpieces.

Totally amazing

Warning: Spoilers
This movie has a bit of everything. All at the right times. Totally great. The subtitles were great too, you get the french jokes translate very well. I saw previews for this movie, and I really wanted to see this, and I wasn't let down by this movie. This is probably the best movie I've seen this summer, and it makes up for all the bad movies this summer (too many to mention).

It's great how these two characters lives mix up together too. David Bouchard goes to see his daughters balet recital...which location was at the college I go to...it was quite nice to see my college up on the big screen too.

Some questions weren't answered by the end of the movie. One character apparently dies but turns out alive near the end...and Michael and David wonder how he's apparently alive...but the answer never surfaces. Either way, it wouldn't have mattered.

Overall, a great movie. Gonna go see a stupid American movie? Please, go see this one instead. It it action packed. It's intense. Every minute of the movie was worth seeing. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest could have been shortened a bit, but this only really couldn't.

Absolutely brilliant. This is what I want Canadian films to be. It makes me happy to know that a movie like this was the best movie i've seen this summer.

Surprisingly Great

Warning: Spoilers
As most people, I first thought that this show was lame, but I never really watched it. I came across this show when one day I realized that another show I loved got cancelled, and I was surprised. This show is just plain funny. The characters all fit in so well, even though they're all different! Plus it's great to watch Jonesy's adventures in the mall. Another thing to point out, is that this all happens in a mall. The people behind 6teen are very creative if you think about it. Plus, the animation rocks!

Basically, the story is about 6 teenagers and the problems they face. There are a ton of great supporting characters also, such as Serina, Coach Halder, The Clones, Tricia, Starr aka Nebula, and a few other characters.

Plain and simple, 6teen is totally worth watching. American viewers may not like it though, but take it or leave it, it's a Canadian show, production budgets are way less, but it is nothing less than any American cartoon.

Four Brothers (2005)

More than what you expect!
18 August 2005
No matter what, I have always loved John Singleton movies, and i couldn't pass this one up. The story and plot sounds weak at first, but don't be fooled! The story becomes unpredictable! This was the first drama/action movies I have seen in theaters, and this one was great. Whats great also was the acting. You'd think Andre 3000 would suck at acting like all the singers-come-actors, but he proves you wrong. I was skeptical at first, there hasn't been a "good" John Singleton movie in a while, and i thought there will never be, but again, i got proved wrong.

Obviously, this movie isn't for children, there is one gory scene (but I don't want to spoil it for you) and in the end, it was totally worth watching. There are parts that are funny and there are parts that make you want to cry. It really brings up emotions nicely. If you haven't seen it yet, I HIGHLY recommend you do, because it really is great, and probably more than what you expect (it was for me).

Worth to watch once or twice.

Warning: Spoilers
Someone said it was a "total piece of crap" Total? not likely. I've seen way worse. This movie has less story, more cars, and less talk.

Okay, would never buy the DVD, i won it actually, and I must say that this is the best racer movie out there. The cars look their best, the decals and glow give a better appeal to the previous movie, and no they don't "hurt the eyes" at all. The only part I didn't like about the cars is when they go into 3d animation and try to make it look real. The first time you see this, it doesn't really matter, but later on it annoys.

What I didn't like was the "love" part of the movie, where the undercover agent (Eva Mendes) Brian likes doesn't really grow, it's just one kiss in the whole movie. THat part was very weak. The plot does make sense though, but some parts were rushed. The story should be able to flow nicely but some scenes just drop too fast.

John Singleton wanted something new, and he thought the facial expressions during the race were something that was needed. It makes you get used to the characters and their attitude actually, and instead of seeing more racing (actually, we get enough racing in this movie).

"they mostly just zig-zag around each other" said someone. In a race, racers do that because they are trying to find a way to get into first place. Understand, kid? This movie has some, but not many, eye-catching stunts. The same reviewer said "It's all so incredibly overdone and unrealistic", well, aren't movies all unrealistic at points? Taking things too seriously would have ruined the movie.

The music fits in with the cars. Big sound systems, big music. Have you ever heard a person blasting old rock tunes in an import tuner? People usually pump out something with bass. The music fits perfectly, but some songs are terrible. "Pump It Up" by Joe Budden and "Peel Off" by Jin are amazing for the theme that John Singleton was going for. "slow R&B songs" said the same reviewer. You don't know anything about rap, don't you? Because that wasn't R&B.

The acting was okay, but not great. What do you expect for this type of movie? All emotion in the characters?

In the end. this movie is good to watch a few times, but not much. The movie is meant to be "All image, no meaning".
