Worse than the first
21 April 2024
While I might be among the minority who found Part 1 somewhat enjoyable, I can't extend the same courtesy to Part 2. As a long-time Snyder fan, I've admired his talent as a director with his distinct visual style, but unfortunately, Rebel Moon Part 2 falls victim to its dreadful script.

This movie is a disaster.

There are few good qualities in this chaotic mess of a film. The cast delivers reasonable performances given the material they're handed, and some action sequences showcase Snyder's prowess in that arena. Similar to Michael Bay, he knows how to handle action. However, any praise ends there.

Part 2 is a tedious, uninspired, and ultimately futile mess. The first half retells what we've already endured in Part 1, with numerous scenes and flashbacks serving no purpose other than to elongate the runtime. The antagonist, whom I couldn't even summon the effort to look up, is forgettable at best, similar of Captain Phasma from the Star Wars sequel trilogy - appearing, delivering a few lines, then promptly getting beaten and bashed.

There's little else to say about this film. It's a lackluster science fiction flick devoid of imagination, burdened by lackluster world-building, forgettable characters, and a narrative so unengaging you'd find more entertainment watching paint dry. It's annoying because Snyder has proven himself capable of greatness in the past. If further installments are going to be made, then they need to improve the script, because I would say I've seen better writing in Twilight.

Good titan action, poor everything else
6 April 2024
Godzilla vs. Kong is a decent movie, falling somewhere between bad and great. Going in, I tempered my expectations, avoiding comparisons to the masterpiece that is Godzilla Minus One. For the most part, this film holds up well, thanks largely to Kong and his young companion (I believe he was called Suko). These characters possess more depth than the bland, forgettable humans who tend to dull down the narrative. The main "leads" contribute little of significance, aside from the occasional exposition dumps. None of them leave a lasting impression.

Godzilla's limited screen time is another issue; he appears to cause chaos and then disappears for extended periods. Personally, I still regard the 2014 Godzilla as the best iteration in the Legendary universe. I miss the weighty, deliberate movements and raw power he once possessed. Here, he moves with the speed of a bullet, bordering on cartoonish at times. However, I tried not to let this detract from the enjoyment, as the film isn't meant to be taken too seriously. It's a silly, over-the-top monster flick, featuring spectacular battle sequences. The CGI is nearly flawless throughout, with only a few minor hiccups here and there. The musical score, while not quite on par with King of Monsters, is still commendable.

The villain, known as The Scar King, is intriguing but sadly underutilized. Personally, I would have preferred less focus on the human storyline and more exploration of his character and his oppressed society. This could have elevated the film significantly.

In conclusion, "Godzilla vs. Kong" is an entertaining watch. While it may not achieve the same legendary status as Minus One, it's certainly good enough to keep audiences entertained.

Damsel (2024)

Just a fine fantasy flick, nothing more
11 March 2024
Damsel is an average movie, it's not bad, but not good either. It won't break records, it won't be remembered within a few hours of watching it, but it did it's job for the most part, and that was entertain... well it did for me anyways.

The good things about this movie are the visuals. The CGI is really good considering this is a TV movie. The costumes, set design, and dragon design are all fantastic. It's a good film to look at. The action scenes are well shot, and there are some very well directed scenes. The flaming bird scene for example. I was surprised how violent this was considering it was rated 12. There were some gory scenes, and some really graphic burning moments.

The characters, the world and pretty much everything else is poor. The acting is flat by everyone, even the greats like Angela Basset feel wooden, but they can't exactly do much with the bad dialogue they are given. Millie is ok, I guess. She's not bad, but not good either. I will say this, her character wasn't this boss bi*** like Hollywood have a habit of making these days. She get's beaten throughout the movie, and only has her smarts. You won't see her flip some 6 foot man while wielding a greatsword, instead she uses her wits. This made her a little more likeable.

The biggest praise goes to the dragon. This character had more development than any other in the film. Voiced by Shohreh Aghdashloo, she brings a very well needed thrill to this otherwise dull flick. All of her scenes were all done.

But that's where the praise ends. I'm sure the writers and director wasn't trying to make some masterpiece, obviously, but they made a reasonable flick here. It's just fine. There are worse things out there.

One of the best science fiction movies ever made
10 March 2024
Dune: Part Two is a masterpiece, there is no doubt about it. This movie is masterfully: directed, written, acted, shot, edited, scored, with some of the best visual effects I've ever seen in a movie. Movies like this are extremely rare these dayss. With the industry riddled with ridiculous superhero movies, (not all of them, but most) and bland, heartless remakes.

Dune 2 takes everything that made the first one great, and turned it up to 100. I watched the first one just before this movie, and when viewed together, you have one of the greatest science fiction movies ever made, and one of the best movies in 20 years. There is very little to fault about this masterpiece of cinema.

First of all I want to show respect to the cast. Every single actor gives a remarkable performance, with the clear standout being Timothée Chalamet. I wasn't sure that he could pull off such a heroic character, since the actor doesn't scream action star. He was great in the first movie as this young noble, but by god does he prove me wrong. Timothée is outstanding in Part 2. I would say his performance is award worthy. I wouldn't be surpirsed if Paul Atreides is classed as one of the best protagonist of the 2000s, and that is mostly owed by Chalamet's acting.

Everyone else does a fantastic job as well, from Rebecca Ferguson's sneaky Jessica, to Austin Butler's sinister Feyd-Rautha. Austin was so good as the villain that I could see him play a bada** Sith Lord in a Star Wars project. Some actors are pretty pointless though, which does highlight some of the minor issues I have. Christopher Walken is almost non-existant here, with his Emperor being pretty bland. He rarely says anything, and has very little screen-time, the same with Florence Pugh, but if there is a sequel (I'm hoping there will be) I'm sure they will both have a better chance to shine.

Zendaya is also great here as well. She has proven herself a great actress, just see her acting in Euphoria. Her on-screen chemistry with Timothée is really good, and realistic. It didn't feel forced, or cringe, which is rare in these type of movies. I have seen some complain about her, with the difference between the movie and book counterpart. But I have not read the books, so I am judging from a cinemagoer, and I thought she was great.

With the acting aside, my biggest praise is on the technical side. The visual effects are flawless. There wasn't a single frame that stuck out as bad CGI. Everything looked perfect, and that is all due to the breathtaking cinematography by Greig Fraser. The shots and lightning are mindblowing. This is cinema. This is what movies should be.

Like the first one, Hans Zimmer's soundtrack is perfect, and his booming score really elevates the action scenes.

The action scenes are really well done. There are no stupid shaky cams, or over useage of close-ups. However, despite the final battle being remarkable, I would give a minor complaint in that it was a little shorter than I would have liked, but this can be ignored, since it was so well done, it had you wanting more. Which brings me to the editing. Wow. Not many people praise editors enough, and Joe Walker deserves all your praise. His editing on Part 1 was great, and he is even better here. This movie flows flawlessly, and not once did I feel bored, not once did Part 2 grind to a halt, not once did the shots seem choppy. The last time a movie managed to make a film with this runtime fun and quick, was Lord of the Rings.

Denis Villeneuve has left his mark as one of the best directors in the buisness. Some are calling him the heir to Ridley Scott, and he most certinally is... well the Ridley from around 20 years ago. I can't wait to see what this guy does with future movies.

Sorry about the long review guys, I just had to get this out my system after viewing this epic in IMAX. Please go and see it, movies like this deserve it. The cast and crew have made a future icon in the industry.

Tekken 8 (2024 Video Game)
3/10
Better than 7 but still garbage
31 January 2024
After the horrific Tekken 7 I wasn't overly interested in this game. The trailers looked ok, but aside from that, there was nothing standing out about this at all.

Having played since the original, I decided to give it a go. First of all, the main story is good, while over the top in the typical Tekken style. The cutscenes are truly remarkable, However... it ends there. I don't know why the Japanease gaming industry are so obssessed with making everything more aggressive and less tacitcal. So many of their games do this nowadays. Gone are the days where it took skill to play, now its all about spamming buttons faster.

Tekken 8 plays like an acrade game, meaning the enemies have that detect player outputs. The cpu will know your moves as you output them. It makes it tedious. The online mode is trash too.

I've seen many people and critics say this is the best since Tekken 3.... it is not even close. While it is better than 7, it doesn't hold a candle to the amazing 5&6. I would put it on par with 4, but it isn't anywhere close to 3. Tekken 3 was a masterpiece, Tekken 8 is extremely average.

Listen all you Japanease gaming folks, learn something - faster does not mean better games! If you think spamming buttons endlessly without tact or thought, then I feel sorry for your wives.

The Wheel of Time: What Was Meant to Be (2023)
Season 2, Episode 8
8/10
The increase in quality is substantial
14 October 2023
I am not familiar with the books, so I came into this series ignorant to the story, world and characters. I thought season 1 was very.... average. It wasn't bad, but it never left any impact, everything about it was just - meh. I wasn't overly interested in season 2, but thought 'Hell, why not?' If I could get through the Witcher Season 3, then this should be good enough.

I was extremely surpised to see how good this season 2, especially when compared to season 1. It's like they listened to the feedback and improved on it, because everything about S2 is better than S1. The characters are more interesting, the world is more realised, the costumes look way better, the magic is cooler, and the story is much more engaging.

The characters who were boring in S1 are pushed to the front in S2, like Egwene, Moiraine and Lan. Others like Rand, Perrin and Mat are still underused. Rand being he biggest offender here. While the actor is great, and the character himself is good, Rand does feel like he's being pushed to the side. From what the series tells us, he should be the central character, but instead he's more of a side one. Perrin is just as bland as he was in S1.

The worldbuilding is so much better this time around, with the production on cities and villages being very well done. They told us the names of these places we vist, instead of telling us nothing. While they did improve, they also neglected to show us how big this world is. Characters move from city to city, country to country, with no sense of time. How big is this world? There was someone who mentioned they were thousands of miles from the Tower, yet - they never show us. They could do the Lord of the Rings approach, or the Game of Thrones version. Show us the map, where cities are, show us the different cultures of different places. One of the first rules of created a fantasy world, is to make the world believable.

This finale episode in S2 was a great set up for S3, and if they keep with this kind of quality, and perhaps fix some of the glaring issues still present, we could have a brilliant series on our hands. Of course, like I said this is coming from a viewer who hasn't read the books, so I don't know if the series is staying faithful to it's source.

While the series is still ways off from being as brillaint as Game of Thrones, it is better than the Witcher and on par with Netflix's Shadow and Bone. Hopefully it keeps getting better.

Sex Education: Episode 8 (2023)
Season 4, Episode 8
2/10
One of the worst final season ever made
10 October 2023
Sex Education was, in my opinion one of the best series on Netflix, and one of the best series about highschool. It tackled seveal topics, and did a brillaint job at addressing them, and how they affect people. It was funny, emotional, engaging and had a strong cast. Season 4 took all of that, and threw it out.

Season 4 was dreadful, and almost every moment of it was filled with complete trash. This is a different show. It feels nothing like what came before, and we are forced to watch this severely unrealistic story, with a group of unbareable new characters.

This new college - Cavendish, is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. If a place this like existed, the whole country would grind to a halt. It is so over the top, that the entire thing feels like it was conjured in a crazy person's mind. I was half expecting the entire college to suddenly turn into a gang of elves and float into the air... It is that far-fetched.

Sex Ed has always been a little on the woke side, but did it in a believeable way, so much that you cared and rooted for the characters. S4 takes that to the next level. Everyone in that college, is gender-fluid, vegan, trans ect. It is bonkers.

Then there is the characters. For 3 seasons, Otis, Eric and Maeve have been at the core of the series, in season 4, they are completely sidelined for these new awful characters; Cal, Abbie, Roman, Aisha and the rest of them, are truly awful. They are boring, irritating and ruin the whole thing. You should never introduce new characters to the final season of your series. It should focus on the characters that we have come to love for years. But instead of spending time with our trio, and the occasional great side characters, like Adam, Jackson and of course, Aimee, we are forced into watching those horrific new ones.

The only redeeming thing about season 4, and what stops it from being unwatchable, was the storyline of Adam and his father, as well as Maeve and her mother. Those stories were really good. Jackson was also good this season. Then there is Ruby. Ah Ruby, the only great character this season. She held S4 together, and if she wasn't in here, it would have fallen flat on its face. She was the most real thing here. She seemed to be irritating by this crazy college as well. She deserved so much more than what she was given.

Overall, Sex Ed has ending in such a way that I can not go back and rewatch the series. It has left a bitter taste in the mouth, and soured what was, a great series.

Ahsoka (2023– )
9/10
A solid series
4 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ahsoka season 1 was for the most part, pretty good. It has some really great scenes (and some poor ones), along with Andor, it is the best Star Wars content we have gotten since Mandalorian Season 2.

While I do believe those who have watched the animated series will enjoy this more than the ones who haven't, hardcore fans, and casual ones will find a lot of enjoy here. Unlike the previous Star Wars shows, Ahsoka is more mythical in its approach to storytelling. Which is a major plus. Something Disney has forgotten about when they aquired Star Wars, is that it isn't just a series of movies about space ships and laserswords, it's also a story about magic. Star Wars is a science fiction/fantasy hybrid, and the recent content has almost ignored the fantasy side of it, with Andor being the biggest offender to that.

Ahsoka uses the fantasy side of the series to great extent, and it works within the story. You have witches, and magic, different realms, ghosts and spirits, and zombies. It all works. It helps bring out that ethereal side to the series that we haven't seen in years.

The characters are all interesting, some more than others. I liked Rosario as Ahsoka, she was great before and still is now. She goes through an engaging character arch throughout the series, some of which several online people have failed to understand. David Tennant as Huyang is remarkable, as he was in the animated series. But the clear standouts are Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll and Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati. These both have to be some of the most interesting Star Wars characters I've seen. Both are mysterious, dark, yet not cruel nor evil. They are so well written and acted, that often they take away from the main characters. I would have preferred to have seen an entire series just following these two. If only the writers of Kenobi had taken a similar approach to Reva that Ahsoka did with Baylan and Shin, then perhaps that character would not have been so hated.

Other characters like Hera, Sabine, Morgan and Ezra are fine. They don't do anything too exciting, but I'm sure they will in future content. Then we have Lars as Thrawn. Perfect. Lars was amazing in Rebels, with his calm voice being ideal for a character like Thrawn. And in Live Action, it's no different. Lars has a great on-screen presense, towering over everyone. Nothing is more intimidating than a calm and calculated villain.

The music in this series is also fantastic. Not counting the original 6 movies by John Willams, Kevin Kiner composes the best Star Wars music from any content that wasn't created by Willaims. Kevin needs awards for this outstanding soundtrack.

Now despite the praise, Ahsoka has some glaring faults. One being the action. Some of the action scenes are great, especially the ones that take place in space, but some of the combat - lightsaber duels, blaster work, is .... poor. The fight scenes feel slow and sloppy. There are some great pieces of choreography here and there, like the Ahsoka vs Baylan, Anakin and Morgan fights, but there are so many really bad ones. They needed that Lucas saying - "Faster and more intense". There are times when characters are surrounded, and for some reason they make it out alive.

The series has some pacing issues towards the start, with it being quite boring. It did pick up around episode 4, but the slow pacing could throw people off.

The acting is stiff at times, and there are many moments where it feels like the actors have just finished reading their lines before acting. This doesn't happen all the time, but it happens enough to notice.

The visuals aren't the best in Ahsoka either. I know they used the volume quite a lot, and it is noticeable. Whenever they use real locations, the visuals increase in quality drastically, which makes the CGI stand out more. Andor was leaps and bounds better in that department.

Overall Ahsoka was a solid series. It is way better than most of the Star Wars content we have had from Disney. While it isn't anywhere near being as masterfully made as Andor, it feels more Star Wars than anything from Disney. I hope we don't have to wait too long to see where the story goes.

Reminds me of the early 2000s comedies
29 September 2023
No Hard Feelings is a surprisingly great movie, it is hilarious, sweet, awkward and has a ton heart. All of this is elevated due to the outstanding performances by Jennifer Lawrence and Andrew Barth Feldman. I've never seen him in any role aside from this one, and I hope to see him in more. His charisma with Lawrence is flawless, and his awkward, shy character Percy, matches Jennifer's crazy, outgoing and fun Maddie. The story itself is a little predictable, but entertaining enough to keep you constantly laughing and invested.

The humour is very much the late 90s, early 2000s. It's Crude, offensive (at times), raunchy, and cringe - a good type of cringe.

If I had saw this as a teenager, it would have been one of my favourites. Now as an adult, I can enjoy it for the over the top, crazy comedy that it is.

I have seen a lot of people say it is problematic, with the grooming element to it, and while yes, if the roles of the characters were reversed, the movie would never have been made, and if it did, would literally catch fire. But that's what I like about it - like I said above, it reminded me of the older comedies, and those films did not give a dam about being offensive.

No Hard Feelings is a great charming movie, with heart.

Ahsoka: Part Six: Far, Far Away (2023)
Season 1, Episode 6
9/10
Great worldbuilding and set up
22 September 2023
Ahsoka has been brillaint so far, despite the ok first few episodes. And episode 6 is no different. The worldbuilding this episode gives us was great. We get more backstory on the Nightsisters, and Baylan.

Baylan has been the best character in this series, and it is truly saddening that Ray Stevenson has passed, because I'm sure the actor would love the praise this character and his performance is getting. I hope he survives this season, and we get to see more of him. Even though Ray has passed, another actor such as Graham McTavish could be a good recast option. The character is too interesting to leave on the side line.

While this episode does not focus on Ahsoka all that much, we spent most of our time with Sabine and Thrawn, and those scenes don't disappoint. Thrawn, played masterfully by Lars Mikkelsen, steals every scene he's in. He, like his younger brother, are amazing at playing villains. His imposing figure, calm and collective voice is the perfect thing for a villain of this scale.

The music in this episode is also amazing. Out of all the Star Wars Disney+ soundtracks, this series has the best score. Kevin Kiner manages to capture the same essense of John Willaims, while having his own personal flair to the music.

My biggest praise for episode 6 has to be the visuals. You can tell that the previous episode were filmed on the Volume, but this wasn't. They clearly filmed on location, because this is stunning to look at. The landscapes were perfect for this grim new planet. While the volume is a cool piece of tech, you can't beat the real thing.

Overall episode 6 was a great episode, it builds up to the next 2 episodes and an epic battle. The inclusion of Thrawn, the music and visuals, are all spot on.

Succession: With Open Eyes (2023)
Season 4, Episode 10
4/10
Why are these ratings so high?
25 August 2023
Did you guys watch the same finale as I did? This was not a satisfying ending at all. Everything was for nothing. This finale is like watching a horror movie, where all the characters die at the end - You're sitting there thinking, what's the point?

This episode starts off brilliantly, with the same fantastic acting, and directing that has been consistent throughout the series. And everything is going smoothly. It's tense, engaging, then.... It's not. I can't stand Shiv's character, even more so than Greg. Her selfishness is sometimes infuriating. By the end, you end up hating everyone, with the exception of Roman and Kendall. Maybe I disliked this finale, because I wasn't overly invested in the story from the start. The series was always a 7/10, not once did I see it as one of the best TV series ever. It definitely has some of the best acting, which is why I stayed with it.

Overall, this finale was very underwhelming. By the end I was disappointed, and will probably never watch this series again. It was a decent series in general, with brilliant acting - some of the best there is. But the story isnt engaging, and the ending is just pointless.

Game of Thrones (2011–2019)
10/10
A masterpiece that changed TV
20 August 2023
Now that this series has ended for 4 years now, I'm hoping some of the fire has died down, especially since the final season didn't go down well with a lot of people. While I too was a little disappointed by the final season, I still love this masterpiece of a series. Few shows have managed to achieve what Game of Thrones could. After recently rewatching from start to finish, I can't help but notice just how amazing this series was. Sure it has issues, which I will get into, but the sheer scale of Game of Thrones is unrivalled. Many have tried to match it, and every single one has failed. House of the Dragon has yet to prove itself fully, but so far that's off to a solid start.

Now what carries this series is its characters. Every single main character, and even some minor ones, are incredibly well acted, written and none are the same. You follow them across their epic journeys, some dire, some horrific, and many - emotional. Aside from Euron (who they butchered, even more so when compared to his book counterpart), all the characters are compelling and engaging on screen. While some may not like how few of these characters ended up, no one can deny the development this series gave to its main "heroes". The story is very much different from most fantasy stories, as most have this otherworldly aspect to it, but the world of Westeros feels real. From the sets, to the locations, this world is dangerous, yet wonderful at the same time. I enjoyed that our main characters took us across the world, and not just in the same areas, it helped greatly with the worldbuilding.

The production on this is unmatched. Full stop. There is no argument, or debate here. There is not a single TV series that have mananged to beat this in terms of its production. It has outstanding visuals, perfect costumes, sound, cinematography (there are countless shots that can make your jaw drop), and of course the music. Ramin Djawadi composes one of the best scores I've ever heard for any piece of entertainment. His soundtrack can make you wheep, gasp, tense and feel pretty much any emotion there is.

I will not ignore the issues this series has, especially the last 2 seasons. While I do still enjoy them, and they don't damper my love for this series, they are riddled with issues. The pacing is way off. The first 6 seasons were slow burners. They would build up to something epic and grand, but seasons 7&8 rushed past things in hyper mode. Things that should have taken several episodes or even more seasons to resolve. It has be frustrating at times, knowing that if they had just extended those two seasons, we could have had a series beloved worldwide, and not a tainted one. There are a lot of writing issues here and there, which would require a longer review - but for the common viewers, it will not bother them as much - it will the book readers though. I have read the books, and I am able to seperate adaptation, to the real thing (unlike many).

The ending of this series is a letdown, it is no where near as bad as the likes of Dexter, but it still should have been .... better. It wasn't the story, it was how it happened. It should have been longer. Season 8 should have been 16 episdoes long, or keep the 6, but give us a 10 episode season 9. But we didn't.

Despite it's ending, Game of Thrones is still a masterpiece and no one with a shade of intelligence can argue otherwise. It is masterfully directed, acted and near perfect production that even movies can't achieve. It has changed the way we and the industry view TV series as a whole. It has changed it for the better. Before Game of Thrones, TV series were always considered less that movies, not really respected or taken seriously. But now, we have all these grand epic big budget series. So despite it all, GoT will still go down in history (for what reason, I leave to you.)

10/10 - 9/10 if you want to remove a point for the ending.

The Witcher (2019– )
5/10
In the right hands, this could have been outstanding
29 July 2023
After finishing season 3(in my opinion, the last season), I have been left with a bitter taste in my mouth. The Witcher started off very good way back in 2019. It had great actors, quick, edgy action scenes, stunning visuals, great music and interesting characters. Then of course, in the typical Netflix fashion, it was messed up because the writers and showrunners thought they could do better than the original story.

The casting in this series is mostly good. They nailed casting Henry as Geralt, as the actor shows of his love for this world and the character, and you can clearly see it on screen. Also Freya Allan is really good as Ciri, and she looks the part. Both Henry and Freya play well off each other with every scene they are in Anya Chalotra was fine as Yennifer, most of the time. She isn't what the character is suppose to be, but the actress does a fine job. Joey Batey as Jaskier was a standout in season 1, after than he fell hard, and became irritating. The rest of the cast is... well. If you love the lore and story of the original novels, and have come to watch the series due to your love of the games, you will be extremely angry at the casting here. They messed up hard on almost every other character. They changed everything from the looks, to their personalities. Overall, only few actors actually do a good job in their roles.

The story is muddled, and all over the place. Even in season 1, everything is weirdly put together and you don't figure out until near the end of the season, that you've been viewing things from different times. As the seasons progress, things get worse. The story becomes inconsistent, characters change drastically, and it goes from being an interesting, dark world, to a CW series, with cringe dialogue, teenage drama ect. While this series does follow some major story beats of the novels, it diverges so much that it becomes this weirdly put Frankenstein's monster of a series.

The production is fine for the most part, with some amazing scenes of visuals, locations, costumes (not counting the literal garbage armour for soldiers in season 1), make-up and monster designs. Those behind the scenes, that weren't directors and writers, put a lot of effort into the look and feel of this series. The music too, was really good, and most of us have heard of the now iconic "Toss a a coin to your Witcher" song. Who would have though that the series that popped out that great tune, would become one of the worst shows of its kind.

Overall, The Witcher started out great, and declined right after that. It has become so different from its original material, that it feels like the creators of this show, and Rings of Power are competing with each other, to see who ruins its source material the most. Could you imagine how amazing this series could have been if HBO got a hold of it? With the right cast, directors, writers and showrunners, we could have had something that could have gone down as one of the best series out there. But no, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich thinks she knows these characters and this story better than the actual author. And because of that, we have gotten this failure of a series.

5/10.

Farewell Henry....
29 July 2023
The Witcher season 3 was, well a complete letdown as we all knew it would be. The only good things about this season were of course, Henry, Freya, the music and action scenes. The writing, directing, editing and pretty much everything else, was utter trash. You would think CW made this season.

This is the finale episode we will see of Henry and I'm glad he's leaving, especially if this series is going to keep this kind of quality. The showrunners clearly have no respect for this world and the characters within it, because this whole thing is a complete mess and has a ridiculous amount of disrespect towards the original story, the author and those you have come to love both the games, and the novels.

The editing in this episode and this season as a whole has been so bad, I would expect more from a 5 year old bashing on a keyboard. Some scenes don't merge well, some scenes have unnecessary cuts ect. This season has had dreadful directing, poor CGI. It's just a mess.

I will give praise to then main cast, as they have clearly tried their best, and they deserve better than what they have been given. The music has been good, as have the action scenes, which is why this doesn't get a 1/10. Some of the locations were stunning, and there is some really good camera work here and there. But overall, season 3 has been awful. It has betrayed the essence of the characters, had a muddle plot, poor directing and I'm glad it's ending here. I won't watch season 4 when it comes out, as I have no interest in this anymore.

This series could have been remarkable, it could have been Netflix answer to Game of Thrones, but failed in every attempt to be it's equal. Which is a shame, because in the right hands, this could have been one of the best fantasy TV shows out there.

4/10.

Matilda: The Musical (II) (2022)
3/10
Good performances, but dull and heartless
9 July 2023
The original Matilda movie from the 90s is one of the best children movies of all time, it is a classic, just as the book is. Since we have countless and pointless remakes, it was obvious they would remake this classic. Now, Matilda the Musical isn't as bad as many other remakes, but it isn't good either. It is riddled with problems.

First of all, I am not a fan of musicals, they are just weird outside of animations. And this movie feels more along the lines of the old classic sing-song films from the 60s. Some may love that, others not so much. The lyrics of the songs however, are really good and there are some seriously catchy ones here.

Every actor gives a solid performance, they emote and express themselves in very expressive ways, which works for the movie most of the time. Emma Thompson, who is one of the best living actresses is... fine here. She does not hold a candle to the sheer brillance that Pam Ferris brough to the classic original Trunchbull - who gives one of the best villain performances put to screen. Emma isn't bad, but I feel she's too gentle of an actress to pull such a character off, she doesn't give that imposing prescense nor a commanding tone. But the acting in this remake is pretty good, everyone gives a solid performance.

But the biggest issue is that Matilda the Musical lacks heart. There is little warmth in this feature, and it is felt. The original movie radiated warmth, family, friends ect, but this film has none of that. It feels souless, even with the big musical numbers they have shoved in countless scenes. The movie feels rushed, yet drags on and on.

Overall Matilda the Musical is a .. meh movie, with solid acting, but is also dry and boring. I'm sure young kids will like it, but this won't be remembered after several weeks, it won't be a classic.

The Witcher: The Art of the Illusion (2023)
Season 3, Episode 5
6/10
Average, with some horrific and good parts
2 July 2023
Season 3 so far has been....fine. Not great, but not bad either. The production is amazing - with the sets, location and visuals being almost flawless. You can tell they filmed on location, as some of those landscape shots were glorious. However, it doesn't get any better than that. Aside from Geralt, Yen and Ciri, all the other characters are just, meh. Henry as Geralt as we all know, is just brilliant and the series doesn't deserve him, but he does give his all in this last season. Anya as Yen is also really good. I wasn't sold on her in season 1, but in this third season she has improved greatly. The story of season 3 is all over the place. We follow our trio as they try to keep Ciri safe, but the season never really does anything with it. There never feels like any real threat. Then there is the stuff with Jaskier. Jesus. Jaskier was a good character in the first 2 season, but here, he is irritating. The rumours were correct - they have made him Bi. For those who know the books, or the games, you know that he is not interesting in men at all. He is very flamboyant, and that doesn't mean he needs to like men. They clearly have no respect for the characters and world they are trying to replicate. Season 3 also suffers from dreadful editing. Now I don't know if Netflix just had a problem when I was streaming, but there were several scenes with dialogue and you would be in full site of the actor delivering said dialogue, but their mouth wouldn't move. It was distracting. And it wasn't one or two scenes, it was several.

Overall the first half of season 3 has been average.

The Flash (I) (2023)
6/10
It's a decent movie but...
17 June 2023
The Flash is a very messy movie, filled with plot holes, dreadful CGI, and a bland story. However, it is entertaning for the most part. I have seen taglines calling it the best DCEU movie, and one of the best superhero movies of all time. It isn't, in fact it isn't even in the top 20. It would rank above WW84, but below Aquaman. It's plainfully average.

The good things about the Flash is the acting - especially by Ezra who gives a great performance as Barry. Now I will try and keep all the chaos from the actor's life out of this review, since I'm here to talk about the movie, and nothing else. Ezra is a very charasmatic actor, and it shows here through Barry. Barry is a very compelling character here, he has flaws, and conflicts which help drive his motivations. Michael Keaton as Bruce is also amazing here, despite him not having a great deal to do. Sure the action scenes involving Batman were remarkable. Seeing the 80s Batman perform that kind of hand to hand combat was a delight to see. Sasha Calle as Supergirl was.... meh. The character doesn't do that much and she doesn't have that much screentime either. She is just there. I would like to see more of her, as I think she would fit well, but overall, she was.. ok I guess.

The bad is clearly the CGI. It is awful, and I mean awful. I have read the director's comments on it, and it's nonesense. The visuals are horrific and take you out of the movie almost every time. The story is predictable and plain, but there are some emotional moments here and there. The music is generic, the cinematography is fine, but nothing special.

Overall, The Flash is average, it won't win any awards or be remembered. It was a mess, which tells me there is a much longer version out there, since it rushes from A to B.

Fast X (2023)
6/10
Better than the last movie, but still ridiculous
11 June 2023
Ever since the Fast Five (in my opinion the best movie in the series), The Fast Franchise has taken a nosedive. It is now straight up ridiculous what this series has turned into. A street gang, is basically an army of unstoppable and invinsible soldiers. Seriously these people would probably survive a nucular blast - or a more likely scenario, Dom Tortetto would likely absorb the blast and shoot it from his eyeballs. It's gotten that absurd.

While this movie is close to being an MCU movie, it is drastically better than the horrific previous movie, which made me rethink what a movie is. Fast X is pretty good for the most part, if you can switch off your brain and not take anything you see seriously at all.

The story is as you would expect - bad, but it flows from point A to B which is good enough. The visual effects are great, the soundtrack is pretty good as well. But the clear standout here is Jason Momoa. His acting and character is a blast to watch. Every scene he's in, keeps your attention, because he brings a much needed fun and humorous vibe to this weird movie. Jason was clearly having fun here, because it translates to the screen. His crazy character was more compelling than most, if not all of the previous villains of the series combined. So the reason I am even giving this movie a 6, is solely because of Jason as Dante.

Fast X ends of a stupid cliffhanger, but if we get to see more of Dante, I'm up for the next installment. Let's just hope thye don't stick to this trend of making villains heroes by the end, and killing off more people only to bring them back a few years later.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (2023 Video Game)
8/10
Amazing characters and story, but....
1 May 2023
After completing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor I was left with a good, yet slightly unsatisfied opinion. It was a great game, and I gave it an 8 because of it, but there are several issues which prevent this from becoming an amazing game.

The Good: First of all, this game is stunning. The graphics, world design, character models (sometimes) and cutscenes are outstanding. Far, far superior to the previous game, which at times was a bit poor. The story is also much more engaging than Fallen Order and feels more open and vast, when compared to the very condensed story of the previous game. I was never bored or uninterested in what I was seeing, and the story never falters. The characters are also all very well done, with the clear standouts being Greeze and Merrin. Cal is awesome here as well, and he has shown great progression from the young and inexperienced Jedi from Fallen Order, and matured into a much more powerful Jedi, with demons of his own. He gets beaten and bashed throughout this game, which makes his journey and development all that more great. He would make an excellent live-action character. Greeze is as always, hilarious, and he gets some very somber moments in this game. He is pretty much that person you go to for comfrot. And of course, Merrin, who we didn't get much of in Fallen Order. She is at the forefront for most of Survivor, since the game is basically about her and Cal. And I'm here for it. She and Cal have great on screen chemistry, and her action scenes are a sight to behold and have some of the most exciting moments in the game.

There are other characters, who are decent, but none really stand out like the others. Cere is here too, but has a much reduced presense. She does have a really bada** moment towards the later half of the game.

The music is also really good, as it was before.

The biggest improvement has to be the combat. What a difference here. It is much smoother than before. We get introduced to 'Stances' throughout the game, and these playstyles are very different from the next. While I did prefer to run with the Dual Swords and Doubleblade, others will very much enjoy the others. I personally did not like the Gun&Lightsaber stance, it just wasn't my cup of tea. The Crossguard was also, fine for some instances. But a drawback to the combat, is that you get knocked out of combos very easily, so using a very slow stance like the Crossguard can be frustrating. Since most enemies are very fast, and will hit you before you swing. Faster stances like doubleblade or dual wield, is a better choice. Despite combat being much improved, there are also complaints. I played this on the Series X and used a controller, and the button mapping was horrendous for certain force abilites. Sometimes they wouldn't work, and other times the buttons clashed with other buttons and you would end up using the wrong powers. Also dodging is much worse here. It is clunky and slow, and you have no iFrames while rolling. It's a really big drawback when in the heat of an epic boss fight. They should have taken an Elden Ring approch to the rolling.

That being said, pretty much everything above is great about Survivor, and if that's what you're looking for, then you will love this game, but....

The Bad: Bugs and Crashes. Like I said above I played this on the Series X and had a total of 4 crashes during my playthrough, and it was also littered with bugs and glitches - such is textures not loading in, or a drop in frame rate. The 'Performance Mode' did nothing for the game, and made it look much worse than it should be. So I stuck with 'Quality' and the performance was more or less the same.

Worlds. We do not get that many planets to explore in this game, which is so very disappointing. With a game that comes in at nearly 130gb, you would think this game would be massive. While the planets you do visit are vast in size, they aren't really interesting at all. The main planet - Koboh, where you will spend roughly 60% of your time, is just dull. There are some cool areas and boss fights to find, but it wasn't that great of a place, and I found myself wanting to leave, or not bothering about side quests.

The Villains. This is a major issue. The main adversaries to Cal are very lackluster. Dagan Gera, who you would think would make an epic villain, wasn't in the story all that much, and when we do see him, we always beat him. He never seems like an actual threat like Trilla did from Fallen Order. She was a fantastic villain and character. Dagan is just there... doesn't do much at all. His fights are pretty cool though. Rayvis, the big Thanos looking guy, looks cool, and sounds cool, but he too, is barely in the story. You can learn of of him through exploring the planets and hearing his voice, but that's it. Very underhwelming. And without spoiling anything for people, the other villain is also pretty poor too, despite the twist being epic and caught me off guard.

The difficulty. As someone who is a fan of the Soulsborne series, and enjoys a good challenge, this game's difficulty ranges from too easy, to too hard. There is no inbetween. Because of the above mention, the rolling mechanic of combat is awful, as is getting knocked out of combos and animations, it can make the game very frustrating on even the normal difficulty. This 'artifical' difficulty, isn't like what we get in Elden Ring, which was a very fair game, Survivor is a mess. I played on Jedi Master, and it was way more difficulty than the Grand Master Difficulty of Fallen Order. Enemies would take you health away with a couple of moves. This could have been solved with better rolling and dodging.

Overall, I really enjoyed Survivor. It was a great game, with some truly epic moments, heartfelt moments, and jaw-dropping moments. It was a worthly sequel to a very shockingly good game. It does have some major issues, which stop it from being the best Star Wars game since KOTOR. It is better than Fallen Order, but falls flat on many things. Because these characters and this story is so engaging, I am looking forwards to seeing what comes next. I do hope we don't have to wait another 4 years for the next game.

But come on guys, for a game that cost £70, you need to get these bugs and glitches under control. People will not pay for a game like that.

Extremely disappointing
17 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The Last Kingdom is a great series, a hidden gem that did not receive the love it deserved. It had fantastic characters, a well written story, great action, emotional weight and was perfectly paced. Seven Kings Must Die had none of these.

This movie was not bad by any means, it is still enjoyable, but it was a complete mess. Everything happens way too quickly; it jumps between events without giving the viewers time to process what just happened. The editing, the directing and even the sets were off. This movie should have been season 6 of TLK, but instead it was condensed into a 2 hour flick that was a shell of what it could have been. If this had actually been season 6, it would have been the best season of the series, and a very powerful ending. The last scenes of this film hit hard, and if you were a fan of these characters, I dare you not to swell. But that's all this really has going for it. It could have been amazing as a season. The main villain was very smart, and his whole plan was masterfully put, but all of it was for nothing, because it was too rushed.

Several characters who were important, and yet still alive by season 5, were not even mentioned. Where was Uthred's daughter? Were was the Queen Mother? Where was Hild? So many great characters just pushed aside with no explanation.

The battle scenes in this movie were also very poorly done. There was no real thrill like in the original show. Everything was shaky and hard to see. The set pieces were also poor. It's almost like they had the budget of a TV season instead of a movie. This doesn't feel like a film at all.

I know this sounds like I am bashing this movie hard, and while it was very underwhelming, it also has its moments. Like I mentioned above, the last few moments are powerful and hit the emotions. The music is amazing, as it always is. Uthred and his crew are as great as ever. The story, while rushed was interesting.

Overall Seven Kings Must Die was a mess, a disappointing ending to a great series. It doesn't ruin the series, thankfully, but it won't leave it's mark.

The Mandalorian: Chapter 20: The Foundling (2023)
Season 3, Episode 4
9/10
Great episode, but way too short
22 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Chapter 20 - The Foundling is a great episode, but it's way too short. We get to see a little more Mandalorian training, and Grogu showing off his skills, along with the visual and puppet team, because wow, the things they can do with that character now is mind-blowing.

Seeing Grogu's past was the highlight, but I believe this should have taken the entire episode and not just 5 minuets. And it was good to see Ahmed again, and playing a Jedi of all things. The whole Order 66 scene was really good, but it seemed rushed to get to the point.

The entire Mandalorian plot of finding that dragon-like creature was interesting, and there were several stunning cinematography moments. Well done to Carl Weathers on directing this episode, it was beautifully shot. Bo-Katan is becoming one of my favourite characters in the series, I just hope she doesn't stab anyone in the back. But she did tell the Forger about the Mythosaur, so who knows.

Overall this is a great episode, but it was just too short. Shorter length episodes did not do wonders for the Kenobi show, and fits animation better. They should have taken their time, expanded the story a little bit more. I feel kinda cheated having to wait a week for a 20 minuet episode.

You: The Death of Jonathan Moore (2023)
Season 4, Episode 10
9/10
Part 1 - good, part 2 - great
20 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
You Season 4 has been pretty good in my opinion. I liked the 'Who Done it' style of story, and especially the new love Interest, whom I think is more compelling of a character than the previous intrests. While season 4 goes over the top several times, it still holds your attention. And while part 1 was a little slow, part 2 elevated things greatly. I loved the shift in tone and story, how the series finally puts a stop to the - Joe is actually a really nice guy trope.... no he isn't. He's a ruthless monster, who has a lot more cunning than we thought. He's like a very smart version of Noman Bates, and I'm here for it.

The drastic change in the character of Joe/his alter ego, Rhys was a surpising welcome, and actually makes sense when you sit and think about his actions in previous seasons. And finally getting to see that darker side of Joe come out at the end, makes me really eager for season 5. I just hope they end it at season 5, and try not to extend it just because - money. If they end it next time, we would have had a very solid thriller TV show that doesn't loose quality.

The Death of Jonathan Moore could mean several things, and I believe that the kind, caring side of Joe is dead - now we have Rhys, the crazy, intelligent, murderer who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Season 5 is going to be a blast.

On a side note, I have noticed this series gets more and more like Dexter with each season. Hopefully this ends better.

The MandaAlien
8 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ep2 of season 3 was amazing, and way better than the first episode. While I thought ep1 was good, it was very rushed and too short, ep2 is the opposite. It feels very much like the second episode from season 2, where the main theme is horror. Everything seemed very Alien - dark, sinister and quiet. Gorgu and Bo are the highlights of this episode, as it mostly resolves around them two.

The interactions between Bo and Grogu were facinating, and I would like to see them both engage more in future episodes, as it appears Bo will play a larger role this season. Despite this whole journey being about Din finding himself again, and bathing within the waters, I feel like this episode was about Bo finding herself, and believing in herself once more. For those who have seen both Clone Wars and Rebels, know just how imporant, and awesome her character is.

This episode was directed by Rachel Morrison, who is mostly known for her outstanding cinematography work, and it really shines here. This episode is beautifully shot, and haunting at times. She did a great job here, and hope to see her helm more episodes in future. She was clearly inspired by the Alien movies, as the production, the creature designs, and sound are very similar.

Great episode.

Hogwarts Legacy (2023 Video Game)
10/10
Brilliant game, with some minor and major issues
10 February 2023
I've been waiting for a game like this since I was 10 years old, and it was well worth the wait. Hogwarts Legacy is a fantastic game, that will appease both movie fans and book fans alike. It's a magical game with great characters, an engaging story and a stunning open world. There are some issues that I have with the game, which I will note below, but they do not take away from the enjoyment this game. This is still a game aimed at children, so if anyone is expecting some Elden Ring craziness, you will be disappointed.

The game starts with us getting our Hogwarts acceptance letter and the character creation, with a pretty interesting prologue soon-after. Right off the bat the game throws you in, and you then spend the next 1-2 hours figuring out the controls before you reach the good stuff. I spent more than 30+ hours just on the main story, plus the companion side quests, and barely scratched the surface of the open world.

But first, the bad stuff: The biggest, major issue I had with the game is the controller hotkeys. I played this on Xbox, so I am not sure how this fares on the PC, but the right arrow on the depad brings up your spell selection screen. This was a very poor choice on the creators part, as you also use that same key to scroll through different ability profiles, when you hold down the right trigger. This caused several frustrating moments, especially when you are in some epic boss battle, and are taken out by the spell screen.... They should have changed it to the right bumper, since you only use that for one option, an option you barely use. That's it, thats the biggest issue I found with the game.

The minor/major issues I found is that your character, isn't your own. If you were expecting to have your own personal Harry Potter story, you will be disappointed here. The main character is mostly scripted, and you only control some of their dialogue. Also, on the character screen, you are asked if you are a witch or a wizard, but this means nothing, as you are always referred to as *They or *Them. This is rather annoying since they aren't taking into account that you are a witch or wizard but referring to you as binary. They may have done this to prevent some select minorities from complaining, but this is in the 18th century, those groups did not exist. But those moments are sparse and didn't affect the overall enjoyment. I was also disappointed you only got to choose from 2 voices, male and female in the English accent. Since Hogwarts takes place in the UK, we should have had options for a Scottish, Welsh and Irish accent. But like I said, this isn't your own personal character. Even you try to be a ruthless Slytherin, like myself, the character always acts nicely, and politely. No. I did not want this. I want to shape the personallity, to choose to be cruel. It takes away from the immersion, when you are being all kind and caring, then blasting people with the killing curse. So I just told myself, my character is just putting on a show, that he actually hates everyone. Apart from Sebastian, but more on that later.

Some of the characters have very stiff movments and facial animations. While the character models themselves are fantastic, often when in conversation, the mouth is the only thing that moves. This could be a bug. There are some bugs here and there, but the bugs are very, very minor and I had a perfectly smooth playthrough.

The main villain. The goblin central villian is very underwhelming. He only appears several times througthout the entire game, and only interacts with your character a few times. This is not very compelling for the main threat to the school and wizardkind. I was expecting way more. While the scenes he appears in are pretty good, they never leave any kind of impact.

Lastly, the loot. Oh God the loot. What happened? You could be in an ancient tomb, filled with spiders and all sorts, fight your way through mobs, solve puzzles and what do you get...... clothing. Really, no joke, clothing. You telling me I fough a troll to the death for gloves?! There should have been so much more than that.

Now for the good stuff.

The puzzles are very well done, as well as exploration. The puzzles aren't irritating to solve, thankfully, since I hate puzzles in video games.

The flying controls are great, as well as other creature controls (no spoiler).

Graphically, this game is breathtaking. Wow. As someone who lives in Scotland, they nailed the look of the highlands. The open world, everything looks remarkable.

The music is also brilliant. It is so good, that if you told me it was composed by John Willians, I would have believed you. It is just perfect.

The story is also really, really good. The story is surprisingly long, longer than I was expecting. There are 4 total acts, and each act is roughly 10 hours long, if you decide to do the main side quests as well, which I would encourage everyone to do.

The characters. The big one. There are several central characters, and 4 companions. One of them, a Ravenclaw, is very underused and only comes with you on a few missions. The Hufflepuff and Griffindor companions are both great, and their missions are also very well done. But the highlight comes from the Slytherin companion (and my house). Sebastian is the best character in the game, and his side missions are some of the best in the entire game. They are fantastic, and often take away from the main story, because they are that good. I hope we see more of him in future installments.

I know this was a very long review, and I apologise, but this was a game 10 years in the making. While it has some problems, it was well worth it. It's one of the best games in years, with great characters, story and everything magical. If you see anyone getting bullied for playing this game (if you know why, you know), I encourage you to purchase and play this game. It is the perfect prequel to Harry Potter, the one we wanted. Can't wait for my second playthrough, to explore more of this world.

Good enough, but not great
26 January 2023
The Teen Wolf TV show was a pretty good series, especially the first 3 seasons, with season 3 being brilliant. Like seriously, season 3 of Teen Wolf had no right to be as good as it was. Season 4-6 were, fine, not bad, not great. The Teen Wolf Movie is more or less the same. There are plently of great things here and there in this movie, but overall, it falls short on many aspects. It's not bad by any means, but it just feels like 2 episodes of the original show mashed into 2.5 hours. It doesn't feel like a movie, and that comes down to the direction and very weird editing. Being 2.5 hours long, this 'movie' feels very rushed, especially during the first half an hour. We bounce between our old main characters, and don't really spend all that much time with them within their normal lives. The movie could have spared more time to show us what these great characters have been doing for the past 5 years, or 7 years in the movie. Not much happens action wise, not until the last act, but even then the action scenes are very underwhelming. Scott, Malia, Derek, Peter, Chris and Lydia do almost nothing throughout the entire movie. Allison is pretty much the main character here. While she isn't bad, and the way they brought her back wasn't too far fetched by Teen Wolf standards, I feel like they spent too much time with her, and not with our main heroes. Which makes me believe this movie should have been a mini series with maybe 6 episodes. To flesh out the story a little better. What made the original show so brilliant, was its characters. Scott, Stiles, Lydia, Allison, Coach and Sheriff Stilinski are brilliant, but here they feel so under used, with the execption of Allison.

A lot of the main characters from the original show are just there for show, like Jackson and Mason, who do absolutely nothing, and I feel like Jackson was just there to sort of replace Stiles as the comic relief. Which of course brings me to the biggest complaint. No Stiles. (Sigh). We all know Dylan wasn't coming back, and I was expecting the movie to feel empty without him, and it sure does. Without Stiles this movie feels hollow, it has no heart. You can't bring back the best villains in the series, and not have Stiles, who played such a vital part in that storyline back in season 3. It just doesn't make sense. The excuse for him not turning up was pretty lame as well. There is a main death in this movie, and I saw it coming months ago, but the way it was handled was poor. It didn't feel emotional like I was expecting it to be. Just rushed, and by the end of it, I felt nothing at all. Not having Kira and replacing her with a cardboard cut out, was also irritating. Hikari was clearly supposed to be Kira, so when we see this random girl appear, we feel nothing at all, and her screen time with Liam is non existant, which can be frustrating, since the movie wants us to believe they are a couple.

Those are the main issues with the movie. Now I know it seems like I'm dumping on this film hard, but there are loads of good things here. The acting, especially by Tyler is very good. He's really upped his skills as an actor since the original show and he does a fantastic job and showing his emotion and pain on screen. The fight scenes, while sparse are well filmed. The Nogitsune is again, a great villain. They handled the whole thing very well, and if you brush up on your history and rewatch season 1-3, the villain elevates even more. There are also some really good scenes with Scott and Allison, some of which could put a lump in your throat. Their on screen relationship during the original show was outstanding, and is one of the best TV relationships. And Teen Wolf The Movie does a pretty decent job with it.

So in all, the movie is good, not great, but better than most movies made from a TV show. It would have benefitted from being a mini series, to have had more fight scenes, but it's still a good watch. If you loved the original show, then you will of course, really enjoy this. Hopefully we get another movie, or maybe a series in the future, because I forgot just how much I like these characters, and have kinda missed them.

6/10.
