Fargo: East/West (2020)
The three stars are only for the Tornado
So they think that shooting in black and white would make it cooler? They are really insulting my intelligence.
This was the most boring episode from a terrible season to one of the best tv series of the 2010s.
I hope they turn this around in the end because I really love Season 1-3.
Camera Store (2017)
I tried.
This movie called my attention because I like independent low budget films and I was expecting a Clerks or Mallrats kind of thing with a bit of drama. Also as a retailer myself I thought I would identify myself with something.
It turns out this movie is: 1) way over dramatic. They put to many Christmas carols to try to bring emotion; 2) exaggerated swearing for no reason. Don't get me wrong I don't mind movies with a lot of swearing like Tarantino's, Scorsese's or Kevin Smith's, but here their swearing is like "forced" with really bad timing; 3) characters flipping out and screaming at each other for almost no reason; 4) a lot of cliched characters like the grumpy old salesman who doesn't like anyone, the old experienced co-worker who thinks is a wiseman throwing a lot of monologues that makes him look like Shakespeare, the basket case silly hot girl who likes to do wrong things and finally the capitalist jerk owner.
I am sorry for John Larroquette and John Rhys Davis for choosing to do this movie. It wasn't their fault. I guess with a better direction, screenplay and different supporting actors the movie could go another way.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
You wished a 'happily ever after' ending?
I don't understand the beef. Fans of the show expected a pretty and happy ending. This is Game of Thrones, not Lord of the Rings.
All characters fates had their destiny as it should be.
Varys despite being one of the most likable characters betrayed the ruthless (now) Mad Queen by standing against her and in favor of Jon Snow; the Hound another beloved character all he wanted since Season 1 was to kill his own brother even though it would cost his own life too; Jamie knew the risk on trying to save Cersei and both had it coming for the "things they did for love" throughout the whole series; and finally we could see the real face of the Mad Queen. She just did what his father tried to do which was to burn everything down and get the iron throne. They share the same evil blood who would do anything for power. We saw her as the innocent and naive girl who was just the slave wife of a Dothraki lord to become the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms not matter what it would cost.
