It blew my mind, stunning effects and lovely story line - watched in 4DX
18 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Personally I loved it, it was long, but only realised this once I left the cinema and looked at my watch and checking that my individual avatar tee shirt did indeed glow under ultra violet light - but I digress. The story does pick up just after where the original left off and you see Jakes family grow in a short series of historical time line. Then Mr. Bad guy rears his ugly head again, hell bent on killing Jake (but the twist is he is now an avatar). Anyway.....on the story goes, with the full 4DX experience I was there, every explosion with flashing lights around the auditorium, puffs of air around your ears as arrows literally fly past, the seats were rocking up and down, I was in that battle. Then fast forward to the sea shots, where you feel the flow of the water, the light spray on your face as one of the characters encounters a sort of whale (where in another little story emerges). Eventually the climax, which If I am totally honest I felt just a teeny weeny bit let down, but realise that there is going to be Avatar 3, 4 , 5 (I hope they don't drag this story out too much as I can see us die hard fans may get impatient). Over all the experience came as a close second to the flight of passage ride in Animal Kingdom Orlando, and the story line I felt was perfect, I cried, I squealed, I laughed - exactly what I would want from a movie.

Ralph & Katie (2022)
8/10
Refreshingly innocent and a pure delight
18 October 2022
When you have got tired of the adultery, murders and violence with our traditional Soaps and have given up on those for some time how refreshing it was to tune into this after a hard day at the office. Its simple, the story line is fantastic and I keep bursting out laughing at the little things that make you smile, like Ralph feeding himself with a grabber from the sofa...please give it a try, its innocent and just beautiful and a great way to de- stress. Also has a few well known faces acting along with of course the stars of the show who just happen to have a learning disability, it caters for all, We will all recognise the interfering mum, and I have just burst out laughing again at Ralph setting his Alexa equivalent for Katie to bring him a beer. Great wholesome stuff. Well done.

The Teacher (2022–2024)
5/10
Great plot, but lacking lustre
7 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I like this actress, she is very versatile and entertaining, however, you will not fall in love with this character she plays. As a Teacher she behaves totally inappropriately and you find yourself wondering why she hasn't been in trouble before crossing such boundaries. Not sure if Sheridan has had her lips pumped but you are drawn to them all the time and for me this was off putting, however, good story line, until the end. You are guessing the whole time who may have it in for her, and it was great to be wrong in the end. But the ending...WHaat? She is touching the students arm yet again, wouldn't she have learnt her lesson? And then gives the impression her life is great and she will be fine. Seriously, you are now on a sex offenders register, will never teach again and your life will be fine? Sorry, the ending was poor.

Nativity! (2009)
10/10
Just now and then you watch a film and say "i wasn't expecting that!
14 December 2016
As a previous reviewer has said, this film was amazing. I am not sure what I expected, but as its nearly Christmas I thought lets watch a christmassy movie. Without giving too much plot away, suffice it to say that the story line was simple but effective. Loads of famous faces in there, but for me the kids were just brilliant. Not your normal stage school stuff, but they appeared like normal children from a normal school having a laugh and making a nativity play for real, but this play was a blockbuster production. Brilliantly done and not only do you laugh but you cry as well. One little chappy, tiny blonde boy was absolutely adorable. and in one scene when all the little girls want to be Mary....well watch it....absolute genius! This is by far one of the nicest feel good movies in a long time, and very heart warming. Watch it alone, watch it with others. you wont be sorry. Merry Christmas everyone!
