Ted Lasso: We'll Never Have Paris (2023)
What was that?
This is the best show that's been out in a long time. Ted Lasso has been great.
The chemistry. The soccer. The team. The laughs. The heartstrings pulled. None of that.
Then they come out with this. What a horrible, horrible episode. All this talent. All the comedic ability. I laughed once.
All about a porn leak and all the relationships that we don't care about. No Soccer whatsoever. Jack and Keeley are horrible together. Add in the most depressing part of Ted's life. Then Nathan and his relationship. That no one cares about. No soccer, other than preachy stuff.
Fire whoever wrote this crap.
Bill Burr Presents: Friends Who Kill (2022)
Holy crap that was bad
I'm a long time Bill Burr fan. What was that. Absolute garbage. Possibly if you are a brain dead, die hard leftist, you could rate this a 3.
I only gave it a 2 because the Jimmy guy was kinda funny.
Now I'm watching Ricky Gervais. And he's making fun of woke comedy. Like this garbage Bill Burr "white people evil" special. Ricky is a leftist, but he's funny. Bill is woke, and now he's not.
All the Old Knives (2022)
Was great movie. Don't believe the poor reviews
This was a great movie. Yes, it started slow, but it was compelling. The flashbacks fully make sense at the end.
I usually like action movies, and when I saw a spy thriller, that's what I assumed. (Not an action movie)
I normally don't like movies that emotionally move me. This one did.
It's definitely slow, but worth the watch.
One of my foibles is to pick apart movies after I've seen them. I look for flaws, or thing that should have been done differently. Only one I found is that the drawn out love scene wasn't required.
The Hyperions (2022)
Worth the time
Solid movie. Different pacing. Set in the 60's and 80's, and feels like it was done then as well. It isn't you regular Hollywood superhero movie.
The acting was superb, with only a couple duds.
Reliable Sources (1992)
Missing some letters
If this was UNreliable sources, it would be accurate.
And the smuggness? How can anyone stand that man?
Black Widow (2021)
Worst Marvel Movie
This movie looks like it cost a lot.
But it was horribly, horribly written. And I rarely notice that in a movie.
Other than Yelena, this movie was a total dud.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Full disclosure, I couldn't finish it
This movie was sickening. I can handle a phycological thriller. This was beyond that. I was disturbing (and totally unrealistic, by the way) from the beginning. I kept watching it, due to the stars that were in it. I thought it had to get better.
It didn't. Revolting and depraved are the only ways to describe it. With nothing redeeming (that I was searching for). I wanted a character to believe in/like. Someone to root for, or hope prevails. No such character exists in this movie.
I have no idea why someone would watch this till the end.
Oddly enough, I didn't think there was something that would upset me this much. Yet, here I am.
Mile 22 (2018)
I loved this
No idea why it's getting such poor reviews. The second I finished this, I was on social media telling people it was an awesome movie.
Now, I probably would have rated it an 8, but I really don't believe the 1 star reviews.
I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Loved the storyline, and hope they make a sequel. I agree that Marc's character was annoying, but it worked.
You want a drama with warm fuzzies? Go watch something else.
