The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
No words can describe it!
This is my all time favorite movie! I feel as if Middle Earth, hobbits, elves, orcs, dwarfs, and everything else really did exist! The costumes are SO believable!
I can see why some of the book lovers wouldn't like the movies because of all the changes. Personally, I think that most of those changes were for the best, and I have read the books.
This movie just puts you in a whole new world. I never get bored of it, and I have seen it many, many times and can almost recite the whole movie by heart.
If you haven't seen this movie yet, get in your car and buy it! It is one of the best films of ALL time.
J.R.R. Tolkien: The Origin of the Rings (2002)
good documentary... bad actors
This movie gave a lot of information about Tolkien and his life. It taught me some things I had never known before. But, throughout the movie they have people pretending to be characters The Lord of the Rings, but the costumes did not look the least bit real and even though they had no speaking parts, they were bad actors. At the end they were talking about another Lord of the Rings movie coming out... which I still have never heard of. It obviously was not the one by Peter Jackson. They showed a little of the filming process... and it all looked really fake. So, I'd recommend this for people looking for information on Tolkien, not for those looking for entertainment, because you won;t find it!
